I've been a fan of British and American rock for so many years, and lately I've began to notice the local bands and artists who were making music I love, in my own city specifically.
The not-so-recent-anymore trend of singing in English makes it much more approachable for you guys too...

My local musiuc scene has two really cool bands.
Mighty medicine, and Frannie and Friends.
I love the people playing country though. It's so much fun to dance to, even though I don't care for the music much.
