Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Faith; its a big thing. But, do we really have faith? Are you sure your faith is strong? You can't doubt God and still have faith; you have to say "I believe!" and stick with it. But, faith can be hard, its like a secret. You can have it for so long, then you just have to tell someone; but in faith, you start thinking "Why God? Why let me go through this? Are you really there?" We've just got to remember that bad things happen to Christians because God wants to test and strengthen that faith, thus bringing us closer to him.
My Prayer...
Lord, thank you for testing and making my faith stronger. But, Lord, sometimes I just don't think I can handle it Lord, but I know you'll help me if I ask. Thank you Lord for everything! In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Thanks for posting that one. I actually used that verse in an online discussion for my online course. The questions was that since we are human beings and that nothing in our perception is certain because we are flawed beings, are faith and certainty compatible? (This was in regards to living in uncertainty, dogmatism, and the extreme of despair, among other deep questions--confusing, I know).
I responded by saying that the Bible assures us that faith relates directly to certainty (according to Hebrews 11:1). Whereas some things are not certain, we can be certain of our faith in God, a God whom we cannot see, but is always there.
