The Chakras
And their relation to the Elements

Each of the Chakras governs an area of the body, and also an element.

The elemental connection was discovered rather painfully: whenever an element is overused, the corresponding chakra's systems will go haywire.
For example, if you've just created a massive firestorm, you're likely to have incredible stomach trouble for at least the next week, as both your stomach and Fire are tied to your Manipura chakra.
Muladhara is tied to the gastrointestinal tract. Its element is Earth.
Svadhistana is tied to the reproductive systems and pelvis. Its element is Water.
Manipura is tied to the stomach. Its element is Fire.
Anahata is tied to the circulatory system and heart. Its element is Wind.
Vishuddha is tied to the throat and immune system. Its element is Wood.
Ajna is tied to the basic, reptilian brain, speech centers, and hormonal functions. Its element is Darkness.
Sahasrara is tied to the frontal lobe, musical centers, and other advanced areas of the brain. Its element is Light.
• The Aura is not exactly a chakra, but it is present in all living things. The aura is tied to all bodily systems, and overuse of its related powers can result in a slow, painful death. With great power comes a great price...
Its element is Plasma.

Notes
• The Muladhara, Svadhistana, and Manipura chakras are known as the Lower Chakras. If one of these is your element, you're likely to have a strong lower body.
• The Anahata and Vishuddha chakras are called the Core Chakras. You're likely to have a strong stomach, strong arms, and good overall health if you have one of these as your strength.
• The Ajna, Sahasrara, and Aural chakras are called the Head Chakras. You're likely to be very swift of mind if one of these is your strength.

For more information on each chakra and element, look below for their specific entry.

Elemental Combinations

There are three main types of elemental combinations: 2nd degree, 3rd degree, and 4th degree. (Hopefully, there'll never be a 5th degree!) As you go up a number, it gets exponentially harder to achieve a balance, and becomes harder to master.

2nd° elements are made by combining 2 non-opposite elements. These will work with just about any elemental combo. An example of this would be Magma, which is a combination of Fire and Earth.

3rd° elements are made by combining 2 opposite elements, i.e. Fire and Water, becoming Steam. These are pretty unstable, so you might want to run if somebody's using them...

4th° indicates an elemental combo with Plasma as one of the two ingredients. This is a rare, very destructive type, so get the hell outta the way!
High-Lightning is an example of this.

2nd°¹ elements are made using 3 or more elements, all non-opposite. This is decently easy to do, once you've mastered a 2nd° combo, sort of a mid-level.

3rd°¹ is also made using 3 or more elements, but at least one of the elements will be opposite or possibly even negating to another one. A mid-level between 3rd° and 4th°.

There's no such thing as a 4th°¹, currently. The few who have achieved it promptly died at age 33.

are... well. Let's talk no more about them. Let sleeping dogs lie...
