The Gargs Season 1 DVD comes out December 7th. I plan on starting a topic in entertainment on the main forums. I will even give out prizes for bumpers. When should I start? I don't want to start TOO soon, since I dont want people to lose interest. I'm thinking mid November?

Considering that it is Disney's first season collection and the month of release, they might do some pimping themselves as well. If they are smart they will get the Gargoyles place in Sunday ads for Best Buy and Target. Both stored normally feature spots for DVD collections being released that week. That should help with the average consumer. Maybe Disney will create a 30 second spot that can run on Saturday morning.
You can also make up one of those Amazon wish lists that show up on the side of pages with related material. I think ToysR Us does the same thing. Just make a wish list and put Gargoyles at the top of it then fill out the rest with MLP or something. Just so it gets seen by parents ordering their Christmas gifts. Actually, put Gargoyles first and Batman:TAS second so that there might be some tie in for animation buffs.
I think it will do well enough to continue Disney's support. Television collections are the fastest growing DVD genre right now.

I think November's a good time to really start pimping the DVD, hardcore. Promoting the aniversary, upcoming con, and pushing what a great gift it makes for christmas (or birthdays, and other holidays coming up.)
But.. pre-ordering for the DVD's open now, so I'm presonally going to do a little bit of pimping around. ^_~ A good number of early pre-orders right off the bat might look pretty impressive, too.
I've ordered a couple copies now, and will keep ordering more as I get extra moneys.
