Avania Castle; home of Shayde and Shadow and many others. Shadow is the future king of the Avania Clan. This castle is hidden amongst this world and only a few know how to get to it.

Shayde was walking to the entrance of the castle. She looked up and saw the tall structure, standing proudly above her. She smiled glad that she was finally home.

Walking up to the castle doors there were two guardsmen on either side looking at her with interest. She smiled warmly at them. "Antis and Sortha, how are you two today"? She looked at them with pride. These men were like her brothers, they secretly killed Hosart, the man who brutally killed her mother.

"We're fine, my lady", replied Sortha. Sortha was very tall, a stretching six feet and six inches, he had sandy brown hair that came to his shoulders and a smile that could make any woman swoon. "The king has been expecting you. I hope you have pleasent news for him?", Antis said with a kind smile. Antis wasn't as tall as Sortha and he had jet black hair cut short with a battle scar that started from his fore head across his eye and down to his cheek bone.

"I have very good news for his majesty. I can see all of us having a celebration tonight. But I can't talk anymore I must go about my duties." The men nodded and opened the castle doors. Shayde walked through the entrance and started to walk down the halls, hearing the doors bang shut. At the far end was the door leading to the great halls, where the king and the courtly people were waiting for her to give them the splendid news.

When Shayde walked in front of the Great Halls door it opened automatically. She walked through the entrance with her head held high. She felt proud that she had information for the king and she knew he would be very pleased.

She was walking down a black rectangle length carpet that led to the king's and queen's throne. As she got in front of the king and queen, she bowed down saying, "your majesty's", she stayed in a bowing possesion until the king said, "rise, Shayde". She stood up still looking proud. "You have good news I hope"? replied the gruff voice from the king.

"Yes, your majesty. There is a lot of people from the valley as we speak." She looked around the room and saw all the other demons and some shadow people. "How many"? he asked with curiosity in his voice. "Eight, your highness." She was glad that she was here to give him the splendid news.

"Eight?! There are supposed to be more!" he roared, his voice echoing through out the great halls. Shayde flinched not knowing what she did wrong, but as always she had her ways of not getting into trouble. "Your majesty, I'm sure there are more. Which is why your son, the prince has stayed behind. He thought it prudent to stay considering the circumstances." The king smiled finally saying, "that's good to hear. My son always the one to stay and fight, he will make a great king."

Shadow finally arrived at Avania. He really didn't want to go home but he had no choice. As he approached the castle doors, he noticed the two guardsmen, Antis and Sortha. He walked up to them and they immediately opened up the wide doors.

When he entered the castle something strange went through him. It was like a coldness rushing through his body. He never noticed it before but he could tell it was something evil.
He shrugged the feeling off and continued walking down the hall. As he was passing, black candles were lit along the walls.
Reaching the doors at the far end of the hall was an enormous door, decorated with balck roses and sharp thorns. All of a sudden the doors to the Great Halls opened up. He took a deep breath and walked in the room.

He saw his mother and father sitting on their thrones, and Shayde on his father's side. He heard murmured whispers as he was walking to his father. "My son", the king cried happily. Getting up out of his throne he walked to Shadow and gave him a fatherly hug.

"Father", Shadow said respecfully, bowing.
"Stop bowing, like some commoner. Now, give me the news on the Chosen Ones. Please tell me there are more than eight." The king glanced at Shayde and smiled. "I know she means well, but she should have stayed and came back with you. I believe those were my orders." Shadow tried stiffling a laugh. His father was always "changing" orders more than anyone he ever knew.

"Yes, father there are alot more than eight, I can assure you." Shadow looked at his father with curiosity. "Good, good. Very good. You will make an excellent king." Shadow's father had an evil gleam about him. "Father, may I be frank?" The king nodded giving him approval of speaking. "What exactly do you have planned for the Cosen Ones?".

"You don't have to worry about that my son. All will be well, when those pathetic things known as the Chosen Ones are destroyed."
Shadow looked at his father with shock. "Kill? But why?". His father glared at Shadow and said with somewhat of a raised voice. "Because, they will destroy everything I'm trying to accomplish. Soon, when those brats are sacrificed I will control all four lands and we will be the most powerful family the world has ever known."

After the king spoke there was a cheer amongst the other demons and shadow people. Shadow knew that this can't happen. Good and evil would be unbalanced, and lots of innocent people would die. Shadow then realized that he was never evil, he was good. He had to stop this.

"Father, no. I can't and won't let you do that." His father roared with fury, "WHAT!". He smacked Shadow across the face sending Shadow flying through the air and hitting a wall. There was a smash from the impact and Shadow staggered up, bloody.

"I will not be stopped, especially by my own son."
"I will stop you and so will the Chosen Ones. Even if it kills me, I will make sure that your reign as king is over." The king walked to Shadow in long strides and took out his sword. The sword was gleaming in the moonlight with the Avania crest on its base. "I will give you one more chance, will you stand by me like a son, like a prince?" The king had the sword raised up ready to strike. "No", Shadow whispered. He knew it wouldn't kill him, but his father would inflict serious pain on him.

Shayde watched the scene and she couldn't believe it. The prince, her best friend turned against everything that he was born to do. She turned her head so she couldn't see no more.

Shadow's father took the sword and drove it through Shadow's left side of his stomach. Shadow cried out in pain as the sword was pulled out of his body. "You will not stop me, no one will stop me." Shadow finally realized what measures his father would go through to conquer all the lands.

Shadow tried to muster all his strength and leave immediatley. He stood up and surprisingly ran. He ran out the castle doors and continued running, not knowing were he was going to go. He needed mudweed, fast. He knew he would have to run to the Enchanted Forest. Tears were streaming down his face, he had no clue what to do. But he had to warn the Chosen Ones before the troops got to them, or all hell would break loose, literally.

As Shayde saw Shadow flee from the kingdom, she looked at the king who was fuming. "Sire what shall I do?". The king turned towards her saying in an angered voice, "do you agree with my fool of a son?".

Shayde looked to the floor and then back at the king. "No, you're majesty. I want you to succeed more than anybody." She couldn't believe that Shadow betrayed his father and his people. "Good, and what I want you to do, is stay here for now. Get some rest because tomorrow, you m'dear are going on a journey to the Enchanted Forest."

Shayde gulped. The Enchanted Forest was where her mother was killed. But this was her king and hopefully she would be able to take Shadow's place as kin. She smiled to herself. All freindship was out the window the minute Shadow left. She then saw the king walk up to her and grabbed her shoulders gently and said with a smile, "I know this may be hard but soon you will be rewarded... princess."

Shayde stared wide-eyed at the king and bowed lowly. He picked her back up and said, "you no longer need to do that, princess. If you're smarter than my son, then you will know the great importance of this mission. And this benefits you also." He put his hands to his sides and walked back up to his throne and sat down. He grabbed his queens hand and saw a small tear trickle down her cheek. He felt like crying also, his only son just betrayed him for some stupid kids.

"Now, Shayde go get some sleep. We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow." Shayde walked in front of the king and said proudly, "yes, you're majesty. I won't let you down." And with that Shayde walked out of the room and to her bed chamber.

"Let's hope not", the king muttered to himself...

The hawk eventually stopped flying and he surprisingly flew down on Sakura's head. She was still in her tiger form and she gave a throaty laugh. "Well, mister hawk, where to now?". The hawk nipped at Sakura's neck affectionately and flew off to a nearby tree.

He lifted his wing and it seemed like he was pointing out a direction for Sakura to wall too. "Ok, if you say so." She started to walk off but something stopped her. A voice that seemed close but yet far away spoke through her mind. "Which you seak, lies beyond the doors." Sakura looked around and then to the hawk, "was that you?", she asked out loud. "Yes, I am the hawk. And I'm no mister either. I come in many forms, my name is Accalia... the seer of all things."

"A seer? Well could you tell me why I am here?". Sakura morphed into her human form and stared at the hawk confused. "All that you seek, lies beyond the doors", the hawk repeated. "What doors?", Sakura said exasperated. "The doors of good and evil, one in the same. Go where your feet take you and you shall know the reasons why you are back home." The hawk then disappeared like a shadow does when its dark.

"Back home? What does she mean I'm back home?". Go where my feet take me, Sakura said to herself. She spinned around in a circle three times and stopped, she then walked in the direction she was facing. She didn't know it, but it was the same direction the hawk pointed out earlier.

After what seemed like ages, she arrived at a tall structure. It was a castle and Sakura stared in amazement. She saw tall towers and a a bridge that led to the kingdom. She walked across the bridge and arrived to two giant doors where there were two guardsmen standing on either side.

"Who are you?", said the taller one. "Sakura, sir. I just happened to arrive here and I have no clue where I am." The guard looked at her and said astonished, "Sakura, the Sakura. The king will be pleased. My lady please follow me." Sakura looked at him confused, "I'm sorry what do you mean 'the Sakura'?".

"No time to explain, your highness but you must follow me, I'm Sortha by the way." Sakura just shook her head and followed Sortha thorugh the doors. She had no idea what she was getting herself into.

Shayde had traveled all night back to the castle. She was nervous. Dimitri had been slane and the king would blame her. When she got to the castle doors she noticed that Sortha wasn't at his post. "Antis, where is Sortha?".

Antis smiled at Shayde and said, "he has been removed until further notice. Apparently Sakura has arrived." Shayde stared open mouthed at Antis, "Sakura... I know her, she was one of the ones in the valley. One of the Chosen Ones." Antis looked at her and said with a smile, "actually she isn't."

"What do you mean she isn't a Chosen One? What is she doing here then? What's so important about her?". Antis laughed out loud, "so many questions. She's here because she's the queen's daughter. You know the queen is a shifter as well as a practicer of black magic. She's important because she's back. Skaura doesn't know it but she has powers we demons wish we could possess." Shayde listened intently to Antis. "Then why wasn't she ever here instead of a different world and why can't doesn't Shadow or I recognize her?".

"It was long ago Shayde. No one could. But you remember the young princess don' you?". How could she forget, the young girl was trained just as Shadow was. "Yes, I remember. So i'm guessing they are going to refresh her memory?". Antis nodded, "yes and I'm sure Sortha is happy." Sortha was Sakura's betrothed and he was happy as ever. But he couldn't tell that to Sakura because he might have frightened away. But everyone knew that with Sakura they would succed in the great battle.

Sakura was walking down the hall way with the man known as Sorhta. "I'm sorry, but where are we and where are you taking me?". Sortha looked at her. The look he gave her confused her. It was like he was saying something a lover would say to a woman. She shrugged it off thinking that she was going crazy.

"You are in Avania my lady. And I'm taking you to the king. He will be pleased to know his daughter is all right." Sakura stopped walking and said, "My father? What do you mean? I'm not from here." Sortha turned around and hugged her, "my love", he said. Sakura pushed him away with her hands and said, "my love? Sortha what is going on?". The minute she said his name she dove back into his arms, "Sortha, it's you... it's really you. Oh how I have missed you so." She looked up into his eyes and he was smiling.

"I don't understand what happened?". Sortha frowned and looked at her saying, "for some reason you were placed in a different world ba Accalia. Those people at the valley are the Chosen Ones, they are supposed to kill your father, the king. Accalia put them away until the time was right. But it's to late now, they don't stand a chance." Sakura looked confusingly at her betrothed, "that still doesn't explain why I was sent away. And why can't I remember about being here, except for you." Sortha smiled, "I don't know my love. Maybe it was the transfer from this world to the other. But it doesn't matter now. We are together and we must go to the king immediately."
PostPosted: Sun Jun 20, 2010 11:52 pm

Shayde stopped and hid behind a shadowed part of a corner. She listened as Sakura and Sortha were talking. She couldn't believe the princess had returned. She also couldn't believe that she was sent away in the first place.

She knew Shadow didn't know that his sister returned. For if he did, he would "rescue" her. She smiled to herself. One way or another Shadow would come back and they would be together. She laughed silently at the thought of Shadow trying to piece everything together. If you only he had stayed, she thought to herself. He would know everything.

She could read his mind just as well as he could read hers. She knew he hadn't recently. She didn't know why he didn't but she shrugged the thought away. What Shadow didn't know was that the Chosen Ones were chosen because each one had a special ability that could bring about the end of Avania. She read his mind and how he thought he knew everything. That the Chosen Ones were all from this world. So stupid, she thought to herself. How could they be?

She watched as Sortha and Sakura walked into the Great Halls and disappeared behind the large door. She stepped out of the shadows and went straight to her bed chamber. As she walked in she saw her door that led to the balcony, open. She walked by her large, canvas bed and went out into the balcony. She looked ahead of her and saw a vast number of trees and clouds. She was procrastinating, biding her time before she had to tell the king the news about Dimitri. She couldn't believe she watched Shadow kill him.

It didn't matter what side Shadow chose to be on, he would always be a killer at heart. Nothing more. She walked back into her room and layed on her bed, staring at the ceiling. Her mind drifted off to a simpler time when her and Shadow were playing. She smiled, wishing she could back in time and relive those precious moments.

She tried to remember Sakura but came up blank. All she could remember was the stories Shadow's mother told them. Sakura wasn't the king's blood daughter, but step daughter. But he always considered her his "little princess". The queen, had long ago, been married to a were-tiger and they conceived a child. After Sakura was ten or so, her mother left her husband to marry the king. Her mother had meddled in black magic and became a sorceress. When Sakura's father died of a disease her mother came back and brought Sakura to Avania. But that still didn't explain why Sakura didn't remember anything about her childhood at Avania. There is something no one is telling us, she thought to herself.

As Sakura walked into the Great Halls she saw a man and woman sitting on tall, decorated thrones. She could easily guess that the two were the king and queen. "Walk up to them my love", Sortha said gently. Sakura nodded her head and walked down the carpet leading to the thrones. She could hear murmured whispers among the people.

"My daughter", the queen replied. Removing from the throne she approached her daughter and gave her a warm hug. "You are at last home." She stopped hugging her but still kept an arm around her daughter and she turned her head towards the king. Smiling up at him she said, "My dear husband, I present you Sakura, your daughter."

The king smiled shortly. Getting up as well he walked over to his step-daughter and gave her gentle yet firm hug. "Welcome home at last, princess." Sakura smiled but she could sense that something was wrong. She couldn't put her finger on it but something wasn't right.

"Where is Shayde", the king said to Sortha, breaking Sakura's train of thought. "I believe she slumbers, your majesty." Sortha smiled at Sakura and then looked back at the king. "Go get her then, she needs to meet her sister." Sortha nodded and walked out to fetch Sakura. He knew she wouldn't be happy about this at all.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 24, 2010 10:02 pm

Sortha walked out of the great Halls and to Shayde's bed chamber. As he walked through the threshold he saw her in her bed sleeping. He walked up to the bed and shook her gently. "Shayde, wake up." Shayde moaned and sat up. "What is is?". Sortha looked at her and said seriously, "His majesty, the king wishes to speak to you." Shayde nodded at went to the bathroom to change. As she got out she smiled at Sortha and walked out of her room to the Great Halls.

Sakura looked around and smelled the familiar smell of that she had smelled when she first met Shayde. Evil, that's what it was. She knew that no matter what she was good. Even if this was her mother she couldn't be here to witness what ever was going to take place. She sniffed around and saw her step-father smile. "My daughter, I'm so glad you're home." Sakura looked at him and said with a frown, "my friends at the valley, what will you do to them?". The king frowned and said with a slightly raised voice, "they will perish. They seek to destroy everything I'm trying to accomplish." Sakura noticed the nodded heads amongst the people. "They don't know that. They just want to go home."

"They will know sooner or later and I will destroy them before they destroy me." Sakura shooke her head and knew what she had to do. She had to leave. She transformed into her tiger form and fled the castle. She ran past Sortha and Shayde. She couldn't what anyone was saying, it was like she was blocking everything out. She did however feel something sharp go through her body. she growled out loud in pain. she was all to familiar to what it was; a poisoned arrow. she didn't stop running though she ran and ran until finally she was almost at the Steamcave.
