Yeah, for real. He's suffering neurological breakdowns due to alcohol poisoning. What a f**, amirite? It's hard to feel sympathetic for the guy, he's a jackass. But if he doesn't get better, I don't know what my mom or my sister are going to do (my sister is ten, by the way, she's oblivious to the fact that he has a problem). I dunno, am I being heartless for not caring?

Considering he's your step-dad I can understand where your coming from. You don't have to pity or feel bad for his situation as long as you understand how it will effect the people around him. I would just try to support your family considering it will be hard for those connected to him to see him get sick......
