Some other topics: Why are rappers so ultra-homophobic? Is it because too many of the lyrics they use make them sound like they engage in homosexual activities themselves?

Are you or do you know anyone who is homophobic or has homophobic tendencies? Why or why not? If you do have homophobic tendencies, are they 1. Jokingly, 2. Serious, 3. Ultra (You have a problem saying "dic-tionary", or you feel the need to use a disclaimer -- such as "no homo")?

I think like Mr. Crawley said the No homo thing is a joke.

Because like the most things considered "manly or masculine". Rap tends to over compensate and that over compensation can be seen as a gay thing. Depending on how the person looks at it. So you have those who just want to separate themselves from being seen as such. Even though half the time they dont help their case.

But rap itself is more bending to the gay community since there are Bisexual and gay female rappers and some mainstream gay male ones coming out. At least the ones I see on Logo.

rap is so ultra masculine because that's what sells. That's what insecure boys like to hear to make themselved feel better. (It's late I'm trying to be at least semi coherent here). As far as the gay messages in the music...well, they do everything else, why not that. The people making the "music" are probably gay anyway.

Seeing as how I disagree with all of this gay stuff, people have labeled me homophobic. I'm really not and I really don't care. Asside from the no-homo thing, which others have touched on, I think the term homophobe is used sometimes because people just don't like others to disagree with them.
