I'd personally pick the Ump45. It looks way better and has more damage. Which means less bullets when you are using FMJ. Which means also less lost of bullets. =D

Both have their ups and downs.

MP5k does have the advantage in fire rate, but it wouldn't matter since the UMP outperforms it in terms of stopping power and accuracy.

But really, it all comes down to the player.
