I'm a huge zombie-fanatic, so when I stumbled across the manga, I had to give a once over...and it satiated my hunger like brains satiate the undeads'.
Now, it's getting it's own anime coming out in July. Even if you're not an anime fan, if you're a zombie-phile, this may be worth a look (if you're not a fan of subs, cross your fingers on it getting dubbed...I know I am).

For those interested, the show starts on Monday, so expect a subbed version on Tuesday (hopefully a good sub...and not horrible, like the people who subbed B Gatta H Kei).

The first episode is out now. I guess Anime Network is doing the subtitling...which, considering this just came out today, and it's already being shown subbed in America...this should prove how much faith the anime community has in this work.
As for the show itself...LOVE IT! I'm a big fan of the zombie mythology anyway, and it's nice to see an anime that uses the western style zombie (as opposed to the mystical style that's usually used in the East). You can see the influences in their works...from the social commentary that George A. Romero is famous for to the soundtrack that seems partially ripped from 28 Days Later.
Aaaaaaaand since it's an anime, a very ecchi one at that, expect a lot of useless panty shots and girls with huge boobs. And in the panty section, at least they switch it up a lot. It's not the standard white cotton for every character. So...that's another plus.

Emotional Amputation I meant where can I watch it. What channel is it on? xp Ah. I guess it's on the Anime Network, so you can find it there. I usually watch most of my shows on animeseason, but if it's on AN, it might be onDemand as well...if it's free, I might watch it there, as watching it on an HDtv might be better than my 5 year old computer screen.

You have my attention. rofl But seriously, this sounds like something I would like, anime very rarely disappoints me.

You have my attention. rofl But seriously, this sounds like something I would like, anime very rarely disappoints me. By my count, headshots-3, panty shots-20+...I thought they might even up, but there's a lot of stuff that I remember happening later on which will give panty shots and ecchi moments the clear victory. That being said though, there are some great moments ahead in terms of story and character and social commentary. The Sato's do a terrific job of adding more than just exploding skulls and T&A (don't get me wrong, I love that s**t too...but there is more to the story...which a lot of American zombie-film-makers don't realize). I can see this getting picked up for a dub and probably run on American TV...most likely Starz (it may be too graphic, even for adult swim). It probably won't be what DBZ and Haruhi were for the anime market, but I can see it causing people to turn their heads.
