This guild is geared to help english speakers to learn other languages through a combonation of the immersion method and the traditional classroom meathod.

Each forum in this guild has a specified language that is to be spoken there. Guild members are HIGHLY encouraged to post in the forum of their mother-tongue AS WELL AS in the forums they are trying to learn more of as well.



The traditional classroom meathod is where you simply take lessons and memorize rules and vocabulary to learn a new language.

The immersion meathod is simply a learn as you go technique. For the immersion meathod, you are simply put in a situation where you may not use any english and you pick up words and meanings through how they're used.

The way we combine both meathods is:
1) We first provide you with a basic vocabulary and some very simplistic grammar, just the absolute minimum that you will need.
2) Then we have several chat threads in the respective subforums in that language where you use the basic vocabulary that you learned to communicate with others in the language of your choice.

exclaim Note: It is required that you use only the language specified in the name of the subforum to communicate in that subforum. If you wish to speak English in your posts, you will be required to post in the main forum.
In the chat threads, they will use vocabulary slightly more advanced than you have learned. You will need to use context clues and such to figure out what the other person is saying.

Subforum Monitors are hired by me, the guild captian.
Subforum Helpers are hired by Subforum Monitors.

A Subforum Monitor is promoted to Vice-captian status so that they have the powers to run a subforum as needed.
As vice-captian, subforum monitors are able to invite members, promote members to crew status as needed, create stickies and announcements in their own subforum.

Subforum monitors also have other powers as vice-captian, however using any not listed in the above paragraph may result in demotion or banning from the guild. Additionally, Subforum monitors are held responsible for the crew they hire. If their crew acts outside their limitations, both the subforum monitor and the crew will be held accountable.

A Subforum helper will need to contact the respective subforum monitor to ask for this position. Subforum helpers will have all the powers the subforum monitors have except that of promoting other guild members to crew status. Likewise, crew will be held accountable if they step outside their limitations. These consequences include demoting or banning.
