After being informed that a few players wanted to play Ardent again, I've thought for a bit about whether or not I want to restart Ardent and even Dead God. I had given up checking for new posts in either after the inactivity but with encouragement I have decided to start again, and with renewed interest and involvement in working on the setting due to switching to anthropology/history in my studies.

So:

--I am going to continue Ardent. I have not decided whether or not to do so where we left off or speed up a bit. Most likely I will speed up a tiny bit as the loss of some players means we will have to account for their character's inactivity.
--I think that putting everyone in the middle of a vague, vast forest with no idea of where to go might not have helped. I'll fix that.
--I am going to place the RP in Barton Town. It's just too difficult to keep track of an RP in a guild forum when you're not active in the guild itself. I love this guild but I don't want any added stress. I will, however, use the IC and the OOC thread to advertise this guild.
--I will not be replacing crewmembers, nor are old players obligated to play (but we know you want to!). However, I will allow anyone interested to request entry, especially if their character is an extra or is involved somehow else (ie debating politics in Tyrisia, leading a movement, etc) and I will provide brain fuel for such things. I'm also going to encourage (with said brain fuel!) main players to do so.
--It's occurred to me over the last month or so (yes, I think about Verenkor when I should be studying. Yikes.) that placing the events of Dead God and Ardent in two separate times is not only unneeded but a bad idea. I would rather focus on a period of history in a strange world that is undergoing all sorts of revolutions, technological and political. I will be updating the history with changes that have made it more complex and realistic as well as placed DG in Ardent's time period. No worries, it shan't destroy your character's bios. You are free to retroactively pull from this new history, however.
--What does the above mean? As mentioned, DG will be in Ardent's time frame. I have decided that I will do one of two things with DG. My plan is to discontinue the game but allow players to continue their characters in Ardent--ie, after the events of the revolution--and if players give permission I may choose to use unwanted DG characters as NPCs in Ardent. However, if there is sufficient desire to continue DG as well I will do so however I'm not expecting it.
--You can expect all my recent obsessive studying of anthropology and history to surface juuuuuuust a teensy bit. Apologies.
--We could really use a better notification system for new posts. However I think using Barton Town and subscribed threads, and being sure to check once a day, should be sufficient.
--Oh god do I have to remember how to code this s**t all over again.

So what I'm asking of you, Ardent & DG players is (please respond here, I will not be checking this in-guild thread):

--For those of you who haven't voiced interest to me, are you in? If so, tell me in the OOC thread and subscribe to it as well.
--Any objections to any of the ideas?
--Suggestions, feedback, etc.
