Wycks
They draw upon the magic in entities for their power. Usually drawing upon highly magical spirits such as demons, angels, nature spirits, elementals, and ghosts. They are usually limited by the kinds of spirits that they can channel, demonic magic usually can't heal, water elementals can't do fire, and the channeling tends to warp them. Powerful spirits are often purchased as patrons or allies.
Mages
They draw upon their own magical aura to manifest their power. This usually limits them to the less energy intensive magic, mental spells and divinations, but gives them much more control over their spells. Mages are also incredible herbalist. They have an extensive knowledge when involving medicine and plants. They study botany, ecology, acology, agrostology, anaesthesiology, and floristry.
Tideborne
They draw upon raw stuff of magic, quintessence, the purest extract or essence of a substance, to fuel their spells. Raw quintessence cannot exist in most places outside of the ethereal plane and must manifest as some other element, ranging from the traditional four earth, water, fire, and air to others. While their spells are particularly powerful, they are dangerous and hard to finesse. They are masters of intellect and manipulator of elemental energies, often called mana. These energies can only be absorbed, stored, and channeled by those trained in the art of magic. Through the use of magic, Tideborne's have the ability to control and change the very world we live in. Any individual can become a Tideborne, provided he/she has the drive to undergo the training, and can take the strains of channelling magical energy.
Alchemists
They draw upon the magic present in objects for their power. They are limited by the material components that are required for their spells, but they excel at making magical devices, or charged items, and substances like potions, talismans, and minor enchantments.
