New starters look retarded (then again, all the given designs look retarded), and Nintendo is trying to make Pokemon more casual rather than competitive. Not to mention how disappointing HG/SS were.
I'm not excited for them. Pokemon's really dying down.

I feel like ideas for pokemon have dried up. They used to be quirky and have tongue-in-cheek sort of names (like the original legendary birds and their names. Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres? I thought that was extremely clever) but now they're just polygonal vomit.
Really, the only reason I bought HG was because I played and loved Crystal as a kid and wanted to see if they'd done it justice. I don't really plan on buying either White or Black. If anything, I'd back-track and buy Pearl or Diamond o.O;

D/P/PT aren't so great either. They're alright, but you could buy a better DS game like Professor Layton or Trauma Center.
Pokemon designs used to by much more original and based on things, along with their names, many of which where just living puns. Now they're just scrapping the bottom of the barrel with basic designs. I must say though that designs of legendaries are getting better. D/P/PT's legendaries all looked strong and imposing except for Manaphy which is 4th gen equivalent of Mew/Celebi/Jirachi.

why waste money on black and white when there will probably be a third one probably called pokemon grey or somthing.
For example:
red,blue,YELLOW
gold,silver,CRYSTAL
ruby,sapphire,EMERALD
diamond,pearl,PLATINUM
see what im talking about!

Actually, you're incorrect.
It's Red, Green, Blue.
In Japan it was originally Red and Green versions (FR and LG make sense now, huh?), but Green has shitty sprites, and then they released Blue. Yellow was an America-only game to capitalize on the Pikachu craze.
Also, it's nice to buy one before the third one comes out because it's different in terms of what you can catch, and you won't have to wait another year for the third one to come out.
