Heigen Fanrun Yup, you DID just see his arm stretch!
♎ 22 years of age ♎ 6'5" tall ♎ 180 lbs. ♎ Male, by choice ♎ Sahriaran shapeshifter ♎ Light, Earth, Water ♎ Libra ♎ Conjurer
Heigen Fanrun is not a patient man. You'd think, as the head librarian of the Treehouse, he'd have quite a bit of time on his hands.
Well, you'd be wrong. Fan is just as busy as Hyaku, Sef, or any of the other Head Agents, even if he looks like he's playing Minesweeper on his compod. It's very important, universal-modeling Minesweeper, very fine thank you!
Seriously, though, don't bother him unless you're well-armed. (ha!) Fan is likely to glare straight at you, and his glares really can burn holes in your forehead; he's a Light type, and very adept at the use of such. Sadly, he often laments, his glasses are not for show; he's rather nearsighted, due to an accident involving 12 broken test-tubes, some burning magnesium, Sef, and... other things he doesn't want to talk about. They used to be just for show.
And yes, Fan DOES indeed (or at least can) have eyes in the back of his head! Fanrun is from the Sahriar tribe, a subspecies of Humans from an alternate-dimension Earth. There's two big peculiarities about the Sahriar: they're mass-limited shapeshifters, and if they don't use their shifting powers on a regular basis, they will lose them. They have no limit to what they can be, but they'll always have the same mass; so, a Sahriar could go from being a swarm of bees, connected by filaments, to a large, hollow statue, but NOT from a single mouse to a house. Fan, as he's nearly matured, and is incredibly busy, is pretty much stuck in his current form. Because he hasn't shifted into his natural form (a clear, gel-like substance often described as feeling like egg whites, akin to primordial ooze) in several years, about the limits of his shapeshifting ability are creating eyes on the back of his head and stretching his arms. The reason he hasn't shifted? Shifting, for all Sahriar, grows more painful with age and/or disuse. A full dissolution of form can put an adult Sahriar into a multiweek coma. Only rarely do Sahriar retain their vast shapeshifting abilites into adulthood.
The Telescopic Blades, Fan's twin short-swords and main weapons, do take some advantage of his shapeshifting abilities. They're electrically charged, and contain multiple prisms, therefore enhancing his element. His method of attack is a specialty, but not unique among the Head Agents: optical illusions. The prisms allow him to project images within his mind into the opponent's eyes, as a first line of attack, but this will wear off if the opponent closes their eyes for more than 30 seconds. This is where his shapeshifting ability will come in handy: as soon as his opponent has closed their eyes, he can/could change his outward appearance to be utterly invisible.
Fanrun's personal style, however, is... very visible. He's as much a dandy as his girlfriend and partner, Mira, is a tomboy. You'll often see him in Fabio shirts (buttoned, so you don't die of bloodloss), cargo shorts, and high-heel boots, with or without earrings and studded belt(s). He's also incredibly tall, blond, and pale-skinned, built like a reed. His eyes are probably the oddest thing about him; they're bright turquoise, and seem to have no pupils.

Mira Merlot She's dangerous with that wrench...
♌ 16 years of age ♌ 5'9" ♌ Human, Morrocan descent, raised French ♌ Female ♌ 139 lbs. ♌ Leo ♌ Fire, Earth, Darkness ♌ Manipulator
Mira isn't very patient either, and she's got deadly aim. With a wrench, that is. Or a screwdriver, whichever's closer.
'Course, either would be pretty close to her at nearly all times, since she's the head of the Workshop. She's violent, crass, and uses contractions in her speech whenever possible.
And she makes some of the most beautiful staffs, bows, and arrows you've ever seen. Somehow, she manages to be utterly loveable, mostly 'cause her gruff, tomboy exterior is just a cover for a girl who really, really likes shinies. She also happens to be the youngest Head Agent on staff.
Mira lives up to her elements, and uses them efficiently. Her combination of Fire, Earth, and Darkness gives her a second-degree Element: Metal. She wields a 5' long chasing hammer, made of an iron-copper alloy and ironwood, and uses the reverberations from a strike to draw metal out of the ground.
She isn't of this world, either. She's from the same universe as Fanrun, and they have a... long history back in New Constantine. She didn't develop her powers in this universe, as Yokuan did. Right now, she'd rather not talk about it, and you won't get much out of her. She seems to be dealing with quite a bit of grief; Zintar's heard her calling the name "Noelle" in her sleep.
If you want to get on her good side, bring her chocolate or chunks of red gold. It'll get her out of a funk/no longer mad at you, about as fast as she can clap eyes on it.
Mira is a dyed-in-the-wool tomboy. She rarely wears jewelry (except an ear cuff on her right ear), doesn't wear a bra unless it's cold (not like she needs to...), and pretty much wears a uniform of cargo pants, sleeveless boatnecks or men's undershirts, and a pair of backless steel-toed boots she made herself from an originally intact pair. In terms of stature, she's tall, wide shouldered and wide-hipped, but with a rather small chest. (She doesn't mind; boobs would get in the way) She usually keeps her iron-brown hair tucked up or tied back in a kerchief. She's also another one with weird eyes: they're a bright red, from the high concentrations of iron in her blood. Consequently, she has to be on constant watch that she doesn't get iron poisoning.
