I've been thinking about making a list of characters sticky in the RP forum. This would be like a reverse of the Quick Reference thread, and it would list every character that has shown up steadily in RP threads and plotlines and their basic roles, as well as who they are played by.

This is an excellent idea. I would love to contribute to it as well... I'm pretty sure that I don't want everyone to know every character that I play, however. Some I don't mind, some I do.

Well the "who" they are played by would just indicate the account you would see that character's posts from.

I've posted it. Anyone who wishes, feel free to add bits. Just please stick with the simple format of character names in italics and usernames in bold, and try to keep related characters together. I know it's pretty much impossible to have a straightforward order that way, but try to view it as an outline. For example, I've got the Nevermore clan right there on top, with those most closely related in storyline underneath the respective Nevermores.

I like this, it's simple, and organized, and it works well as a reference, especially for new players. Thanks for the work you put into it.

I'm thinking about a new class of characters halfway between PC and NPC. These would be Communal Characters not tied to any particular player that anybody could RP if they needed them in their thread.
A good example of this would be the unnamed Fire Chief in the bombing subplot. Side characters like that who are likely to just show up, fulfill their needed role, and be gone. That way people aren't stuck waiting for, say, Constable Jones or Detective Sellers to show up when they call the police. They could just RP Deputy Redshirt arriving on scene. xd
