I've never played Animal Crossing but I do have Tinkerbell game like that and I left it for a Looooooooooooooong time and when I came back, they hated my guts XD Tinkerbell is like Animal crossing just in fairy form lol

I love animal crossing it gives you a peacful feeling ^-^ but it also gets you to work in a way that dramatic and action games don't let you. I also know what your talking about you get a game and you play it so much the enjoyment is less than happy so you take a break from it and play a game that you haven't played in a while ^-^ sweatdrop yah I blab to much lol
