I like to be honest, and think outside the box from time to time. I'm considered to be odd or eccentric, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I am always ridiculed and criticized for my size and always told "if you were skinny....you'd be hot" or.."if you just lost some weight..I'm sure more guys would come up to you." but I'm tired of all of that. They are pretty much saying, a bigger girl isn't attractive. They are saying you have to fit a certain mold to be considered pretty. So I'm trying to sort of...overcome my low self esteem by joining this guild. And kind of saying "hey, big girls can be just as attractive as a thin one." I currently weigh between 205-210lbs. I range from a size 13-17. At 167 lbs I was still told "you could lose another 20lbs" And that is after losing 40lbs. SO I learned, you shouldnt try to satisfy anyone but yourself. I want to be a model because: I've competed in another modeling competition on Gaia, against models that are, well, model size. But I held my own for a while. I had to quit due to outside issues, but I did last a while. I think it would be great to test my skills against other models my own size. Also, I believe modeling is about showing everyone what beauty is, not only on the outside, but from the story your eyes tell. I want to help inspire other plus sized models and let them know it's not your size that matters, it's how you use it. A little about me: Hmm where to start. Well, I am a seventeen (almost eighteen woot!) year old girl. A senior in highschool come fall, finally. Haha. I’m currently living in the South, aka Alabama. I’m dating a wonderful guy, my first boyfriend who treats me amazingly. He tells me often how much he loves every inch of my body. (I’m a size 16) Measurements coming in at 47-38-47. I’ve had a hard time coming to love my shape. But Bill, (my boyfriend) has helped me drastically. To see I’m a beautiful young woman, that shines in her own way. I still have my off days, but then again who doesn’t? As far as things I enjoy: Reading, singing, listening to music, painting, drawing, photography, wearing my faux-hawk, baking/cooking, watching movies, ballroom dancing, videogames, texting, putting on too much eye make-up, and so many others. Then of course what list of likes would be complete without a list of dislikes to follow. Hahah. These are some things I really don’t care for: Cleaning, Vegetables, Eyeshadow that creases and fades within an hour of application, Being told I could use to "lose" a few pounds. (******** off, that's none of your business, now, is it? It's not your body.) Sunscreen, The feeling of being rushed, Sadness, Amazing short books (You couldn't have squeezed in a few more chapters, really?!), When my iPod dies and I have no sources to charge it on. Etc.Well, that's pretty much me. c:
