Animated items are out...and they've got their own inven tab...and they're going to un-animate after a certain amount of time and become static (thank goodness for small favors)...?
Redundant much?
You'd think I was running the show w/the useless amount of steps and anti-climax.

I thought animated items would be fun...but there's no point spending that much if they'll become static.
Did noone think this was stupid?

Sometimes I think they do it just to make the population's collective forehead explode.
They did something like this w/the Alien UFO in towns where you could fly in it or something...it was only a limited time (like a month or two) but drove the price of that collectible WAY high.
I wonder if there's any point in spending any amount on anything anymore.

I hope no one buys them. The point of an animated item is that it's animated, not animated until said date. Once said date has come the item has decreased in monetary value because that $10 item you bought that was animated really only has the variety of poses of an item half that price.
Waste of money and a waste of my time by reading that announcement.

There's a sort of mania that falls over the general populace when something new comes out. I've succumbed to it a few times but man it's...it's just out of control now.
It's funny how EVERYBODY got all out of shape when they thought booty grab had been nerfed beyond all recognition and there were huge strikes, people put their fish in Barret's tank and spammed up the Aquarium forum w/their empties, Hell no, we won't glow, cash strike, cash strike! and all that rot.
But I'm not really seeing any of that in this situation. Hmmm. confused And I really should!

I'm finding Neopets to be such a better place nowadays.

I hear you.
I mean really, where else do you get the ability to cackle over things like Jhudora's Exploding Muffins?

They're just so much nicer to their users. And although I don't use it, I like the feature to add an extra password on certain areas such as the bank. THAT is a security measure, not sparkles.

ME>I know right? xd And they're purple and green. It just doesn't get any better.
Mich>You know...I never thought of it that way...w/the pin and all. I was seeing the pin in other places. That is something.
I don't know if I'd call 'em nicer. The cash thing is ridiculous and sort of self-contained. It's not like here where you can buy it w/the site currency once they're out there. And like here they're so busy with the $ stuff that they don't really put a HUGE amount of effort into the NP stuff. Now granted, they put MORE effort in than happens around here. It's not devastatingly ridiculous yet. It has potential though.
I'm iffy on the rules too. I like that there are TONS and fairly strongly enforced...I wish Gaia was more like Neo in that respect...but on the same token some of 'em are a little eyebrow-raising. Neo is generally more invested in its user base, I'll give them that. But the Toolbar hasn't been updated for compatibility in years and that's not nice. (Well, it might've been recently, I'm still digging. It's still a 4 yr. gap.)
I'd like to see loyalty perks here though...regardless of whether or not I decide to stay.

I don't have the toolbar so I wouldn't know anything on that subject (or have anything to say good or bad about it, but I see your point).
I was sad to see that Neopets had a cash thing when I started playing again. At least they do release Neopoint items along with the cash items (at least of what i have noticed) but they are not at the same quality. Most of the wearables are cash items too.
I've never had an issue with Neopets' rules, but I never post in forums and I don't have a side account. What rules do you have problems with?

I don't have the bar either...but that's mainly because it was never upgraded to be compatible with newer versions of Firefox. XD I think I kinda said that earlier. *so sleepy* I'm a greedy little monkey. I want free stuff. Moar plz.
I knew you were going to ask me that. xd I can't think of any of the good ones right now but to start a girl got iced (well maybe just suspended) the other day for using "I love" in respect with a NeoNPC. While it's really good that love/marriage/breeding is strictly a huge NONO (can we haz that here please?) that seems a little strong.
I'm still trying to get straight on all the words rules--disallowed ones. Granted I don't post much on the boards (let alone do petpages and lookups) but when I do I'm always in terror of using one that's going to get me frozen. (Y'know other than the obvious ones.) The only one I know for sure right now is javascript. O.o;
And then there are non-rules issues that irk the daylights out of me like KQ being multiplayer and I think somewhat cash-based. (I'll have to root around and see where I got that idea.) Premium requiring not only a CC# for trial but a PHONE CALL to cancel. Really? Come on! confused
Ok...two major distractions and a phone call later and I can't think of a damn other thing.
OH! Well, and 1 main only, 4 sides supported by. While I understand that I also really wonder why it isn't set up that accounts must earn their own points. That to me would be much harder...but there again my main is 10 and has a sizable nest egg w/which to play.

In order to get more playable tokens or whatever they are called, you have to buy Neopet merchandise from stores or online (like a stuffed animal, etc.) and find the code on the tag. The tag itself is covered by a plastic sheet which is then attached to the stuffed animal. That way you have to buy the product unless you wanna stand in the store and rip off the tag. Other products I'm not so sure on how they stop people from getting the code without buying it, but I'm sure measures were taken in it. My KQ token is a red meerca xp
I kinda sorta hate that token.
