So, what happens if tomorrow, push comes to shove and the s**t hits the fan. I'm not going to include zombies as a possible situation for this one because most zombie plans are fairly similar, you know, the barricaded communities and all. Where do you see yourself in 10 years, if you see yourself alive by then that is, do you see yourself operating as something of a field medic, doing small patch jobs for payment, or do you see yourself as a paid security guard for a budding new community, or a traveling merchant perhaps, trading and bartering to improve your lot in life. Don't think the options are limited to this either, what can you legitimately see yourself doing ten years after a catastrophic, world changing event, emphasis on legitimate, don't say you see yourself as some sort of cyborg ninja assassin we don't have the technology for that now, and a world changing catastrophe will only set us back.

I personally see myself as a traveling merchant of sorts. I would deal mainly in salvaged/stolen rarities (jewelry, silverware, old antiques, stuff necessary for that refined lifestyle that some people might be after for their new communities that might make people feel more at home and back to normal). I'm very good at debating and bargaining. I wouldn't trade ammunition, I need that for people who might try to get some free stuff, which is why I would roll in a convoy with my closest friends, you know, lessen the chance of betrayal. I would also part out broken guns that I can't repair and repair guns that I can with salvaged parts so I can sell those to people looking for an equipment upgrade or sidearm. Of course I don't know all that much about firearms at the moment, but I turned 18 recently and am starting to get into it now that classes are over for me and I have free time.

I could see myself as a scavenger. I've always been curious about what I can find in places and what their worth might be. I would probably travel light, and mostly at night (depending on circumstances.) I have a small body frame, so I would be able to fit into harder to reach areas and possibly be better at hiding and staying undetected. I could sell my findings to random people or merchants.

I can see myself in a similar situation to Dusk, though I'd focus on weapons and similar mechanics. I'm actually studying to be a weapons engineer, or possibly an armorer, so firearms and gadgets are pretty much my trade anyway. Though it would likely just be me and my girlfriend, possibly two or three others. We actually had a conversation relevant to this the other day, decided that since I have the people skills of a stone, she'll handle the bartering and I'll handle the trade.

I'd be a gun-for-hire giving safe passage in exchange for currency. My buddy JT would be the survivalist cause he's a genius with that sort of thing (has at least one knife at all times). and my other buddy Odeion would be a merchant cause he knows what stuff to salvage in an abandoned house or something. we'd travel at the time most convenient, with enough equipment to last.

I see myself in ten years after an end-world scenario as a wandering 'golem' or 'archangel' roaming the hell torn landscape surviving off scavange and my own wit not relying on being compromised by others and id teach those smart enough to listen to help repair the world but unfortunatly I belive my chances slim but I would die the way I would want.

s**t hit the fan tomorrow, I'd probably die. I am smart enough, and I learn quick.

BUT!

I have no blades, no axe. I have no seeds. I have no chickens. I have no access to clean water. I don't have any flint or steel. I am physically weak because I had a severe bout of depression a while back and lost all appetite. Coupled with my high metabolism, I lose weight VERY quickly and very rarely have a layer of fat to depend on. I have no allies. My parents hate my mate, and I would want to find her and ensure her safety foremost, and wanting to leave them to save her and risk their well-being knowing they would have a tough time without me would weight heavily on my heart and mind, or would I sacrifice her? And above all else, I have no weapons but ones that I could improvise.

Since I live in a suburban area that is VERY close to a large city, I would be killed by scavengers or die of lack of water within the first 4 days. My mortality isn't hard to face. We are fragile creatures, and that is why I need to stock up on supplies. I predict things getting bad in about 7-15 years. By then I will have what I need to survive, but as of the current moment, I'd have to words two say if s**t hit the fan: Oh ********>

I'm a bit better off than you then in terms of things going down so soon. We have lots of seeds at my house because my Mom likes to do her own garden thing for produce. We also have a workshop that belonged to my grandfather that is full of blunt and sharp instruments. Axes, sledgehammers, regular hammers, baseball bats, crowbars, shovels, branch trimmers, a ton of things. We also keep plenty of bottled water, since that's what we mostly drink at my house since it tends to be fairly cheap. Like, 3.99 for a gallon of milk, a couple bucks more for a 24 pack of waters. Overall, pretty cheap. My mother also likes soup for some reason, so we have a decent amount of canned stuff. I would still react and hit the nearest grocery store while people are still in panic mode though.
