The Story A world without men? Is it possible? In the past, most would say no. However, after many horrific events and a mysterious plague that seemed to affect only men, it appeared that finally, after all this time, that the men would die out. In truth, only a very small group of men actually survived. The reason for this? These few hid themselves deep underground and took care of one another.
These men remained hidden, grouped together for seven years in fear of this plague. Now, with a bit of courage that they have somehow mustered, they re-enter the world with high hopes & dreams for the world. Something was very wrong though. Sure, the world had been repaired and the cities were bustling with life, but something was still very, very strange. With all the years they had remained underground, the women that should have had a hard time surviving with the world the way it was were doing perfectly fine without all of the men. Why were there so many new children out and about, running through the streets of towns & cities? It shouldn't even be possible without men to help the women reproduce. Still, there they were, right before their eyes as they wandered from town to town.
Things continued to get odder still for the men. While it was true that there were young children out & about playing together and going to school, they were all girls! There were no little boys in sight. Somehow the women of the world had found a way to reproduce without needing a male to 'show them the way' in a matter of speaking. This new method of birth obviously gave them nothing but girls. Or was that truly the case?
This baffled the men. Even if they had found a way to reproduce, these women had to have given birth to little boys as well. There had to be boys out there in the world somewhere. As they wandered in search of answers, things suddenly turned for the worst. One small village, upon seeing these strange, new men in their lands had decided to attack them. These women were now trying to take their very lives from them after they had worked so hard to remain alive so that they could re-populate the world when they finally chose to return! Fleeing for their lives, the men decided to stick together to find their way in this new world. Two things were for certain: 1) These men had to find the answers to the new mysteries of the world. & 2) Together, they had to find out what happened to the boys that the women must have given birth to. Where were they? What had happened? Together they'll find the answers. Together they will survive.

Setting Please keep in mind that this is a post-apocalyptic world. This means that most of the world looks like a wasteland. There is little plantlife, there are not many men, the only ones truly thriving in the world are the women. Most women in the world feel that they'd be better without men and want to kill these new men that have entered their world. Other groups want to make men slaves to wait on them hand and foot. Many women choose to lock the men up in a strange facility at a location unknown to these men (at least in the beginning). Regardless of all this hatred towards men, there are women who feel sympathy for the men and wish to help them and keep them safe. Perhaps they may even fall in love.
Somehow these men have to find a way to survive as a team. They will use any means, such as hunting, stealing food from villages & cities, etc. Let's try & be creative and come up with a great story! ^^
There are many new types of weapons, as well as many old ones in this new world. Guns that fire lasers are not uncommon within the city, but on the outside you'll find swords and older guns from before the apocalypse. Within the city you can expect to find newer style weapons more often than the older kind.
As for transportation, there are many different kinds of vehicles in this world. In the city they have developed many new kinds of land vehicles, as well as airships to fly through the sky. The land vehicles range from hoverbikes to enormous armored tanks that float much slower than other vehicles along the ground. On the outside remain older style vehicles kept from before the apocalypse. Gas is still used for those vehicles. They range from cars to motorcyles, and so much more.
Technology is incredibly advanced within the cities. You can find many things in there such as teleporters, cyborgs, etc. etc. Meanwhile, towns on the outside remain as they were before the plague and have yet to truly advance. Occasionally they will get 'leftovers' from some city folk, but that's about it for them.
On the outside, there are very unique creatures. Thanks to the plague, many animals have mutated. Some have become giants over 20 ft. tall that possess superhuman strength. Others barely grew at all, but possess strength to rival that of the giants. The walls around the cities were built to protect them from wild animal attacks. These animals are now referred to as monsters generally and are hunted not only to keep the peace, but for food purposes as well. ((I might add more to this later. The Rules - Be at least semi-literate. I'd like it if you'd post at LEAST a paragraph, though two or more are definitely recommended. So at least 4 sentences minimum please?
- Use good grammar & be creative with your posts. (I'm pretty lenient with this one, don't worry too much. ^^ )
- Please follow the standard Gaia TOS.
- Keep everything PG-13.
- No godmodding or power-playing!
- Try to keep the font size anywhere from 9 - 11 all right?
- Don't use blinding colors that are impossible to read without highlighting. sweatdrop
- I don't mind a little cursing in your post if that's how your character acts, but please, PLEASE don't be excessive in your cursing. This means don't be dropping f bombs about every other word. razz
- No insta-love. Kind of self-explanatory. sweatdrop

- I am allowing you to have a MAXIMUM of 3 characters. No more than that.Basically just follow the ToS & these rules and you'll be good to go. ^^ I might add more later as I think of them. razz

Men Marcus HillsbradName: Marcus Hillsbrad Age: 28 Profession before hiding away: Computer Programmer (or so he claims) Chosen Text Color: BluePersonality: Marcus is a pretty nice, intelligent guy. He accepts the fact that he isn't very physically capable, but he does try his hardest to help those around him. How do you feel about this new world: This new world frightens Marcus. The strange change in these women scares him very much and makes him worry about whether or not there is a future for the men. Character Biography: Back before the 'apocalypse', Marcus was a genius programmer. He programmed many computer games, and even worked on quite a few console games as well. However, one day he was recruited to create something very 'special'. It is something so secret that he dare not talk about it. In truth it was a very terrible thing that he helped to create and it does tie in with what happened to the men... Now, judging from their current situation, Marcus secretly thinks about their situation on his own and often works out various formulas and tries to figure out exactly what happened all by himself. He truly believes that what is happening with the women also ties in with what he helped create. Marcus knows that if the others found out about his dark secret that they might very well cast him aside...or worse. The very thought frightens him, so he tries his best to keep everything a secret from them. Instead he merely tells them about his job before all of that happened. He does look forward to finding the answers as well as the other men. Of course, even his past is being kept secret. Nobody knows whether he truly was a programmer, they don't know if Marcus is his true name; in short, Marcus remains an enigma to everybody he meets. Hawkeye is actually quite kind and loves nature, getting along with most of the wild animals. In fact, he is so kind to them that he can tame even some of the more violent creatures. How do you feel about this new world: Hawkeye is fine with this new world overall. The terrain, the creatures, it all fits quite well for his new life. The only thing that troubles him is the women. After all, he knows it was a woman that made him what he is today and it would take quite a lot for him to trust any women ever again. Character Biography: Hawkeye used to get along with many people in his small hometown and never really had any problems. This young man grew up in the same town as a brilliant scientist: Zeke Marshall. The two of them were great friends and remained in communication with one another even after his best friend went to work for that b***h of a woman Roxanne Taylor. Hawkeye refused to settle down and get a job. Instead he did freelance work and did odd jobs around the town for people and earned money that way. Then one day the plague came. Most men in his village were wiped out. Hawkeye even became infected with the plague and thought his time had come. This was, in fact, until his old friend returned home. Hawkeye was glad that he finally had his chance to say good bye to his old friend. Zeke revealed however that Roxanne had released the plague upon the world and that he had worked up what he felt could very well be the cure. More than willing to be the first test subject, Hawkeye let Zeke inject him with a serum. It counteracted the plague, but instead of curing him it transformed him into something much different. Hawkeye's body mutated, and in the process he lost his eyes. He gained superhuman strength and reflexes however and he learned how to use his other senses to 'see' his surroundings. Feeling terrible for his deeds, Zeke came up with a way to let Hawkeye see again. Once more, Hawkeye let Zeke 'experiment' on him and let himself be put under. Upon coming to, Hawkeye realized that he had been fitted with a robotic eye that was attached somehow to his brain, though he dared not ask how this was possible. Zeke revealed to Hawkeye all the uses of this new eye, and more than grateful for this new addition, Hawkeye immediately wrapped his friend in a hug and thanked him dearly. However, as he looked upon his new body, Hawkeye was mortified. Protruding from his left arm was a claw as long as his leg, as well as two shorter claws stretching outwards from his wrist. His skin color had changed as well into an odd reddish green color. On his back were demon-like wings, though try as he might he could not fly. It was if they were merely for decoration. Apparently during his transformation into this 'mutant' form, Hawkeye's body had change drastically and he would never be the same again. A new anger surged throughout his very being and he deserted his village and left into the wilds. Later on he learned that Zeke had hidden away with the men he had rescued and so he waited for the day that Zeke would return. Now that he has, he searches for Zeke's group and plans to join them. Preferences: Likes: Zeke Marshall, his hometown, his sister, nature, animals, etc. Dislikes: Roxanne Taylor, women, his new form, etc. Fears: Losing his sight again, losing Zeke Marshall, losing his sanity due to his transformation Other Information: Hawkeye has tamed a tiny critter he calls a 'Bumblesprout'. Women Roxanne Intra TaylorName: Roxanne Intra Taylor Age: 30 Profession: Scientist Chosen Text Color: Dark RedPersonality: Cruel and sadistic, loves to use her beautiful body to seduce men into doing what she wants, though now that there are so few men, and the men hate women, she is unable to do this now. How do you feel about men: Almost all her life, Roxanne has hated men. This is due to the fact that she watched her father murder her mother in cold blood at a very young age. He also raped her almost every single day for a very long time. Now that she has learned men are still alive she wants to eradicate them from the face of the Earth. Character Biography: As mentioned above, Roxanne's father raped her almost every day, starting from when she was a young child. One day he murdered her mother in cold blood after she caught her husband raping their daughter, right in front of Roxanne. This horrible incident traumatized her and caused her to stop speaking for some time. She could never fight back against her father to make him stop raping her and she never once told anybody. It just continued to happen until one day when she was in high school, she murdered him in cold blood when he tried to rape her that night. After that time, she decided that all men should be eradicated and so she began to study science vigorously. When she graduated from college with a degree in genetic science, she was accepted into a lab as a very famous scientist's lab assistant. She worked underneath him for some time, learning more and more from him as time went by. However, one day he made advances on her that she didn't want. The next day it was rumored that he had vanished, disappeared from the face of the Earth. In truth, Roxanne had murdered him and hid the body where it was never found. Due to his 'disappearance', Roxanne was promoted to the head of the lab and began trying to create something to destroy all men in the world. Then one day, a couple of years later, she learned about a super genius of sorts that had progressed through school rather quickly and had graduated from college with a science degree at the age of 16. Roxanne quickly hired this young man onto her team as her own personal assistant. He led her entire team in the development of a new chemical of sorts as instructed by Roxanne. Something that truly shocked Roxanne about this young man was that he was incredibly kind to her and never mistreated her even once. It was a nice experience for her and she actually kind of liked him, even cared for him. However, she was furious at how he made her feel and quickly convinced herself that this man was only planning to use her. By using this young man who happened to be smarter than even herself, she was able to create 'the plague'. She quickly unleashed the plague upon the public and was ecstatic when the men began dying at a rather rapid pace. Roxanne tried to have her assistant killed, but he had already escaped her clutches. Roxanne never knew that her assistant had begun to help the remaining men and even built an underground hideout to protect the men from the plague Roxanne had unleashed upon the world. Now that men have re-emerged into the world, Roxanne is furious and now works on a way to destroy them once and for all. She currently works on various projects that she hopes will help in hunting them down and destroying them. How do you feel about men: Curious about men. She hasn't seen a guy since she was 10. Character Biography: She grew up in the city as the technology grew. She loves the city. She was in a small family consisting of her mom, dad, brother, and her. Her dad ran a hover board shop in the city, so she learned about hover boards. She knows how to repair them and build them. Miki and her brother would help their father in his shop, working with customers and fixing and making boards. The brand of boards her father made were top of the line. Her mother knows about hover boards too, and currently runs the shop. When the disease broke out into an epidemic, her brother was the first to die from it. He was younger than his sister. He died at the age of eight. Two years passed and her father struggled to live, but he too died. Now her mother tries her hardest to run the shop while Miki earns extra money in hover board races. The races are not that easy. She placed first in only three races so far. The rest of her wins consist of bronze, a few silver, and lower places. Now girls have taken over the sport since guys have vanished. She remembers her father and brother and misses them dearly, but growing up around nothing but girls has bored her to death. She can't stand some girls. Miki travels with a robot name Jack. Jack is up to date with high tech technology. He is able to access the internet and can pull up multiple hologram windows for Miki. Jack can also recharge Miki's hover boards. Jack is a hover bot model and was built by Miki and her father. He was upgraded after Miki's father's death. Miki has kept up with Jacks technology. The Shine Family are considered one of the higher class families because knowledge was greatly admired and respected, so naturally they took their place when they started the library.
