Around the epicenter of the atomic bomb explosion in Hiroshima in 1945, a complex of buildings and monuments has been erected in the Peace Memorial Park to commemorate the earth-shattering event. It is dedicated to the promotion of world peace. Central to the park is the only remaining city building damaged in the blast. It was formerly the Industrial Promotion Hall, but is now known as the Atomic Bomb Dome and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park also contains the Peace Memorial Museum, featuring exhibits that graphically portray the horrible effects of the bomb on the city and its citizens. Between the museum and the dome stands the Memorial Cenotaph containing a stone chest, inside which is a list of all those killed in the explosion or who died subsequently from the long-term effects caused by radiation. The Cenotaph also houses the peace flame, which will burn until nuclear war is no longer considered a threat to humanity. Other monuments contained in the solemn park include the Statue of the A-Bomb Children and the Atomic Bomb Memorial Mound that contains the ashes of tens of thousands of unidentified victims.

Mushi and his relatives have visited this place many times, once a year if not more. His elders constantly preach and stress about the importance about the Hiroshima bombing, and how it could happen again. Mushi personally had up to his ears about it, and wishes that everyone would just shut up about it.

But he certainly likes coming to this place, if only for nostalgia's sake.

Currently, he stands admiring the Atomic Bomb Done for the umpteenth time, and quietly imagines climbing on the exposed steel frame like monkey-bars.

Mushi had not noticed Ayane next to him, and the minute she began to talk he yelped and jumped a few feet back. But just as quickly, he regains his composure and calms down. He readjusts an invisible tie, and coughs politely.

"Erm . . . ahaha, pardon! Yes, it is. At least, it's important to my family . . ."

ayane giggled softly "sorry i pop out like that" she laughed "for your family eh..?" she said looking at it. "sounds like you guys made an important part in this.." she smiled sweetly.

Ayane let out a small laugh "why so skeptical eh?" she said patting his head, "am i too jumpy?" she asked confused.

"Emi comes into the park and looks around wondering what to do.It seemed so lonely here since she barely knew anyone at all here"

kumi rubbed her eyes ''i'm so tired'' she tied her blue hair into little pigtails. looking up at the sky, kumi sighed. she knew she had no one and felt empty and depressed, ''when will it be over?....'' she thought glumly as she walked into a tree.
