If there are enough spinners we could do a spinning contest. Or best item made with handspun yarn if not.

Random suggestions:
crocheting, sewing, weaving, finger crocheting, origami, cooking...
I'd suggest that you get a list of suggestions and put a poll in a thread for everyone to vote in that allows people to pick 2-3 of the suggestions, then pick the top couple of those suggestions to be the parts of the contest. Everyone in the guild can knit, but I'm not sure if you can come up with a single other area that most people could participate in. Possibly crocheting, but who knows if most people can crochet or have time to learn how to for a contest.
I know I'd love to learn how to spin my own yarn, but I don't have the time right now as I'm taking a semester long course in two weeks.

I'm getting suggestions to put into a poll right now.. xD I'll wait for more suggestions, though. I like the cooking and sewing ideas, though.. biggrin And I'd LOOOOVE to spin, but I don't have fibers, and I need to make a drop spindle... I really need to make friends with the "Goat Lady" who lives near my mom...
