I was just curious as to how much music affects your role play writing. Have you ever based a character or a role play on a song, and if so, what ones?
Do you have a certain genre of music that you listening when say, creating a fantasy RP, or something else, or perhaps you prefer to work in complete silence.
Personally, I have been mulling over a role play based upon the Planet Suite by Holst. A lot of the planets are based upon things, like 'Saturn, bringer of old age' and 'Venus the peacebringer'. I wanted to turn those into characters and use them to create a storyline.
Have you ever had any ideas similar to this?

I write regularly at home, and I have certain music that inspires plot, but none usually for a character.
Some of the music is You Are Loved (Don't Give Up), Solo Por Ti, and Un Giorno Per Noi all by Josh Groban
Some various j-rock songs inspire some personalities, usually darker ones like Chizuru by The GazettE
Music is BIG in my writing - it completely sets the mood

For me music can help me a lot when working on many different things and sometimes I rely on it, but other times I can't use it and need silence. The type of music depends on my mood and what I'm playing. It might be songs that fit the character or the feel of the rp, or maybe just something I like. It's hard to say. lol
