Okay, so many of you have questions about screenshots, which is completely understandable

I just learned about this awesome button several months ago. (I forget how, though)

So, I have set up an awesome post so that you guys can understand what I am talking about. ^^

Ok, so I have "Print Screened" some images of the keyboard for you guys. mrgreen I know, I know. razz

So, lets start off with the "On-Screen Keyboard". This keyboard helps you if (for some odd reason) you don't have a keyboard or if you need it for some other reason.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Your "On-Screen Keyboard" may look different if you have a different computer system. ^^

Now, on this Keyboard, you will see a button that is circled in the below image:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

This is your Print Screen button for the on-screen keyboard.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next, we have the regular keyboard that you use for the computer.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Now, I know this looks pretty old, but most keyboards are made this way.
Here is the Print Screen button. (Keep in mind that MOST PS buttons are on the RIGHT side!)
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Now, I have heard that there have been problems trying to find the Print Screen on a Mac (Apple) computer. I don't have a Mac, so I researched the topic for you guys! ^^

Here is an image of a Mac keyboard:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Now, there is no button on this keyboard to Print Screen. Here are the options to Prnt Screen on a Mac.

1st Option:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

This will get your Print Screen image. ^^ It will be saved on your desktop.

2nd Option:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

This will allow you to take a partial image. It is a great option to just choose exactly what you wanted instead of having to edit it on Paint and whatnot. ^^

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And now there is your laptop. This image is of a regular laptop. It's a general image and most laptops look like this. ^^
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
There is a button on the laptop that is called "Fn". This button is usually located on the left-hand side of your laptop keyboard:
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Now, the Print Screen button is located at the right side again. IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have both buttons pressed at the same time! The regulare Prnt Screen doesn't work because "insert" is the main button. You see that there is a box around Fn and Prnt Screen so that means that the Fn provides a second option to THE SAME BUTTON.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Summary
zeetzeet
sweatdrop So . . . how do you take a screen shot?
^^ Well, it depends on what sort of computer you have. I heard that Macs have a different keyboard set-up, but generally the keyboards are all alike.
So, if you take a look at your keyboard, you have to go all the way to the right side. Then, look to the upper corner. So, yes, look at the upper right corner of your keyboard. There should be some buttons (usually there are 3) and there is one that looks like "Print Screen", "Prnt Scn", or any letters that look like that. Simply have whatever you want up on the screen showing and click that button.
The Print Screen button takes a picture of the WHOLE desktop so you will have to edit it. REMEMBER: The Print Screen copies the desktop image. So if you were to take the image onto Paint, simply "Paste" it onto the program.
So, let me set up the steps to creating the screenshot.
1. Have whatever you want to copy visible on the destop.
2. Press the Print Screen button to copy the desktop image.
3. Go to a program you wish to paste it to (I use Paint).
4. Paste the image.
5. Edit the image and figure out where you wish to post it. ^^
***If you don't know how to post images onto Gaia, please ask me and I can also help you with that. ^^***
NOTE: If you are using a laptop, your Print Screen button may seem like it doesn't work. On most laptops (I think all), there is a button that is called "fn". (I don't know what it stand for) Anyway, it is like the shift button in a way. On keyboards there may be other uses for the same button. So, on a laptop, you will see that the words "Print Screen" will be in small letters. YOU MUST CLICK THE "FN" BUTTON WITH THE PRINT SCREEN BUTTON IN ORDER FOR THE PRINT SCREEN TO WORK!!!
^^ Hehe. Hope it helped. If you need ANY clarification, please ask away! (I think I may make a computer forum! ^^ Thanks for the idea!)
