The sun shone brightly through the window of the compact apartment where a demon child was now preparing breakfast in the tiny kitchen area for the inhabitants. The window was in the main area of the apartment, the living room, and soft teal curtains were pulled back from it. The only contents of the living room were a large sitting couch, a small television set, a tall three-light lamp, and a coffee table. To the left and right of the kitchen area was a door, each leading to a different bedroom.
In the room on the right, a young human girl tossed and turned in the small bed, clearly having a discomforting dream. The young body continued to move restlessly before suddenly jerking awake. Slowly and groggily, Hikaru Shara lifted herself out of bed and moved towards an empty area of her room. There, she began her morning regiment, starting with simple warm-up stretches before moving to more difficult exercises.
Little did she realize that her alarm clock lay in pieces on the ground by her bed, looking as if it had been clawed to bits by an animal. She was even less aware that she had a guest in her home.

Kimiko moved about the small kitchen fixing a delicious breakfast for the two girls that lived in the home. She hadn't seen the two for a few years and was excited to see them. The demon allowed her mind to wander as she set the table. A calm hum left her as she placed down plates of food on the table. Once breakfast was finished she walked over to the bedroom and smiled at the brunet teen as she silently watched her before turning away to go and sit at the table frowning a bit at the fact that her legs couldn't reach the floor.
Her smile returned as she took a piece of toast and bit down chewing slowly as she thought about how to speak with Hikaru and Renji.

At the edge of Hikaru's bed, face on the bed, sat a white haired demon with ears laying flat and tail still, watching the brown head train. All the little wolf demon could think about was "look at me. Look at me. Look at me!!!!! Come on stop training!". But her friend was too busy training, not even noticing the demon was there. Poor little Renji couldn't stand it anymore, so she did the only thing that could git Hikaru's attention. "Look out Hikaru! That demon is trying to get you." and she points in a random direction.

Temu on the other hand was in the kitchen with there guest. He waved his tail, drooling from the smell of food. Although he did wander what news Kimiko had for the girls, he was more curious about which plate of food would be his. He looked up at Kimiko and held up a sticky note with his tail. He new better than to stick one on the bat demons head, he learned that lesson the hard way. The note asked "is any of that for me?"

Hikaru was in her own world, sitting cross legged and holding both palms open. A tiny sphere of yellow energy was forming above her hands, and was slowly growing with each passing second. Her mind was blank, totally concentrated on sustaining the energy, when all of a sudden a voice surprised her.
"AH!!" her body jerked, heart nearly jumping out of her chest. The energy popped from her palms, shooting out into random directions. For a moment, she sat there just staring at her palms, but eventually she got up and turned towards the wolf demon.
"Renji..." she said slowly through gritted teeth. "What did I tell you about Hikaru Training Time?"

Kimiko smiled at the golem and pointed to a plate of food. "I made sure to make you a plate Temu. You may eat only when the others get here." She spoke in a calm dignified manner that befit her status as a high born lady. She patted him on the head offering her half of toast to him.

Renji started whining at her angry friend. "But Hikaru.....i'm hungry and you know I can't cook. Not only that I can't find Temu to cook for me........oh...and.... are we staying home from school today?" She points to the watch on her wrist. "Unless my watch is early again, were missing it.... or is Saturday?"

While Renji was trying to find out what day it was, Temu was in the kitchen eating the toast Kimiko had offered to him. He wandered what was taking the two so long to get in there. He stuck a note on the counter by Kimiko's hand. "Should I go get them?" He really wanted to finish the rest of the meal.

The young demon smiled at him as she waved her hand for him to go a head and eat. "I wonder if they know it's Thursday?" She was worried if they had school or not since she needed to speak with them about something important. The silver message tube from earlier worried her a bit but she needed to know if she could depend on them or not for this mission.

Hikaru was just about to give Renji yet another lengthy letcture, but stopped herself when she heard the wolf ask about school. "What? But, the alarm was-" She moved past her friend to her drawer, where the broken pieces of her once intact alarm clock lay.
A panicked shriek escaped the human girl's mouth as she began to run back and forth through the room, hastily sliding out of her pajamas and pulling on a blue sailor uniform, which was the standard uniform for Sarayaski Jr. High School. "Oh gosh, Oh gosh, Oh gosh! We're so late. There was a class meeting early this morning. Yukimura's gonna be so pissed." she said quickly while moving about. She slid a pair of fingerless leather gloves onto her hands, which she used to cover up the burn scars on each of her wrists. Once she was ready, she grabbed her leather school bag with one hand and Renji's arm with the other.
"Sorry, Renji! No time for breakfast today!" she yelled while dragging the wolf demon out of her room and into the living room/kitchen area, not really paying attention to whether her friend was dressed for school or not.
Hikaru tended not to pay attention to such details when in "panic mode". She was about to run out the door, with Renji in tow, but, by chance, her eyes glanced to the kitchen for a moment and caught a glimpse of a strange child in the kitchen with Temu.
The teenaged girl suddenly came to a halt as she took a good look at the stranger. "What the hell?" she said quietly to herself before turning to give Renji yet another angry look.
"I thought I told you not to bring strangers into the house." she growled.

The small girl smiled as she watched her friend panic but upon being noticed she waved. "Good morning ladies, Did you both sleep well?" she asked hating the high pitch of her own voice but there was nothing she could do about it. She hopped down from the chair and smiled up at them as she walked over. "It makes me happy to see you both again."

Renji put on her pouty face. "But I didn't bring a stranger in. Kimi just popped in here plus she's not a stranger." The wolf girl started bringing out the tears. "Beside, I learned my lesson after the torture you gave me last time I did." Renji kept her face in a pouty mood till Hikaru answered her back. -3-
Temu looked up happily noticing Renji and ....Hikaru had finally appeared. Although he had already finished his breakfast since Kimiko gave him the right away. He waved his tail towards Renji who happily waved back.
"Hey Temu." Renji yelled.

"Kimi...?" Hikaru's eyebrow raised as she looked at the small demon child. It was then that she fully examined her, taking in her appearance. The teenager's big blue eyes blinked as an unusual thought came to mind. This child, could she be-?
Hikaru walked slowly over to the girl and stared down at her, a look of shock upon her face. Her voice was barely above a whisper when she asked, incredulously, "My Lady? Is that you?"
She was utterly confused at the moment. How on Earth could her Mistress, the great and powerful S-class demon Kimmiko, have been reverted to such a minuscule form? And her energy, from what Hikaru could sense, was only a fraction of what it once was.
"My Lady, what has happened to you?" she asked, a worried look on her face.

Kimiko met the now taller human's blue eyes and smiled calmly at her. Despite looking so young and frail it was clear she was still as dangerous as ever. There was always a sadness to Kimiko no matter how she smiled or spoke but she always held herself with an air of royalty that only came from decades of life and knowledge. One look into the child's eyes gave Hikaru all she needed to confirm that she was indeed the great Lady Kimiko. The once great demon slid from her seat and brushed her hair back while fixing her skirts.
"If you don't mind missing a day of school I would like to speak to you about a few things. I will write an excuse for you both but if something important is occurring then I will wait here." She stepped around Hikaru and pulled herself onto the sofa letting her short legs hang over the side.

Confusion still consumed Hikaru as to exactly how her Mistress had been reduced to this childlike state, but it was apparent that the woman was not yet going to tell her. She sighed, accepting that she would learn eventually what had happened, but not at this moment.
She smiled warmly at the person whom she held the utmost respect for. Kimmiko was the closest thing to a Mother that Hikaru had had for several years now, and she would do anything that the demon asked of her. At being asked to cut class, Hikaru immediately nodded her head and pulled one of the dining room chairs into the living room. She sat down into it while looking at Kimmiko. "We were already running late, and if you need to talk to us about something, then of course we can stay home today." Her previous enthusiasm to get to class had faded away, though she was already dreading what their class rep and friend Keiko Yukimura would say when she got ahold of them.
Her gaze turned to Renji after adressing Kimmiko. "How about you, Renji? Are you gonna stay home too, or are you gonna head to school?" She already guessed that Renji would stay, but she wouldn't force the wolf demon to do anything and figured she should go ahead and ask.

She smiled sweetly at them as she swung her legs to and fro. Kimmiko simply kept the same smile upon her lips as she always did. "How about some breakfast then we will speak. What I have to say can wait a bit." She stood and walked over to Hikaru. "You look lovely in your uniform." Kimmiko smiled warmly at her charge. "You've grown into a beautiful young ladies Hikaru and Renji. You must have many questions so I will do my best to answer them all before I speak to you both about what I need."
