Whoohoo, now this one is up my alley. The other night I went to the casino with Vivi and bought 1000 tokens. I plugged 400 into the machine while we chatted and got back 500 tickets, sold them for 900g. The next night I played the other 600 tokens and got back 600 tickets, sold them for 1000g. The going rate seems to be 2:1 gold to tickets and I usually win about 1:1 tokens to tickets. So I almost doubled my gold in two nights. Actually needed it since I was down a bunch.
Sorry I sold all of my tickets MD, I will save some for ya now that I am back on the map with some gold.

You really would think that at the amount they want for prizes that tickets would be awarded a little more generously. When you average 1 ticket for 1 gold put in it puts prizes at 100,000g or better. I know some are smaller, like the glasses for 13,000 but most are way outta reach, but the payoff is good in the mean time.

God I know! >.< And I don't like the glasses, so I won't bother with getting them. lol I'm in for a looooooooong quest, at any rate. So far (without Viv's tickets purchased yet) I've got about 8k in tickets.

I may not be able to fish, and I may not have gotten those wings or halos yet like some others, but by god, I can at least keep my head above water thanks to the slots!
funny thing is sweatdrop I used to work for a Resort with a Casino in Palm Springs...and in real life Im sooo not the gambling type. The kind that can do the slots for hours are the scummiest people on this earth the stories I could tell you....bleh. whee redface

Awww, Vi mi amigo, we are just a couple of slot jockeys i s'pose. Poor MD though, she can't even go near the casino without Bruno rollin up his sleeves, she sits down an he throws her right out. The other night we were playin in the over 18 room and she got bounced mid spin. I laughed my a** off cause she disappeared but the machine kept spinning, and spinning, until she came back. rofl

heaven help me... I have money again, love you MD! heart but this just means...Dun DUn DUN! that tomorrow after work I have to go on to phase 2 of my quest....Im going to see 1. how long it takes me to spend 3-4k max betting, 2. how much tickets are produced, and lastly 3. if I can coax out the elusive wings and the fabled halos...
aka....Im nutz...but at worst I dont see them and I can give MD more tickets and at best I will see them and I can have more tickets to give MD...though Im saying right now if I manage to max bet and get those halos I swear I will let MD buy off half and then rape the market silly for the other half... someone told me if I sell them in that large of a chunk I can get 3-4 to 1....and they'd sell?! sorry now Im just dreaming.... codine is making my brain fuzzy...very very happily fuzzy... 3nodding

I didn't see it mentioned here, though I'm sure most of you know but the luck factor re-sets after 12 hours. I don't know how long it lasts, but your odds of winning improve after 12 hours, then wears off after a while.
Vi: 3 to 4K tokens does take a while, though I often spin and surf the forum, then spin...just gets boring after a few hundred spins rofl If you get the triple wing though, that pays for it all (3K tickets!) heart

as you probably noticed I didnt get either wings or halos last night, siiigh
but I will try again sometime soon...just dont have the energy today...MD I do have 4k in tickets to trade-- and Im broke again... spent it all on tokens X.x granted I have 2k left untried...but still sweatdrop

No_Grudges Anyone try Polkaroo's guide to resetting your luck on slots? I wish I could take credit for that rofl But that's just advice someone gave me. The best way to test it is to wait 12 hours, try 1 token for 100 spins, then record your total. Then wait an hour and try 1 token for 100 spins, then record your total. Usually after 12 hours, I get 1 ticket to 1 gold spent, while anything after that, I get 1 ticket for every 2 gold spent. I don't know how long the "luck" lasts for, whether it's 100 spins or 50 or whatnot...just that I get more 2 of a kind and 3 of a kind after 12 hour breaks than I do after 1 or 2 hour breaks. The exception being if you go long enough, you hit the triple wing heart But that takes sometimes 1,000 spins and I don't have the patience for that **** anymore rofl

The casino is an odd ducky. There have been times I have walked in with 36 tokens and walked out with over 3k in tickets. I have taken 5k of tokens in and walked out with 2.5k in tickets. I have hit wings at least 20 to 30 times. I went on this wild winning jag that lasted for a week, it was just plain weird. I could do no wrong. I hit wings 7 times in 4 days, presents over and over. I ended the week with over 24k in tickets. I didn't win again for like 2 weeks. OMG I was practically weeping with joy when I finally hit presents and wings again lol. I tend to agree and disagree with the theory of so much luck per person per 12 hours. I believe it is set up on a one by one basis. We each have our own account numbers right? Well I think each account is on a schedule as far as rare events go. Hitting halos, catching a rare fish, getting a pink box, all those sorts of things happen when our account's numbers are pulled from the hat of those who are doing that certain activity. Here is a prime example, my mother(God love the woman but this story still makes me wanna cry) came in and woke me up one night then broke it to me that she had just caught not one but TWO purple flies(a rare bug and the only rare bug I have ever wanted to catch besides a golden legs). I felt cursed, I almost cried right then and there. I got up and made sure she wasn't yanking my chain by checking the inventory. Sure enough there are two purple flies, hell I even checked the market log to make sure the devious elder didn't buy them cheaply off some poor newbie. Nope she had chased them down and caught both of them within 5 minutes of each other. I still feel rather cursed, I have never caught a rare bug and this woman has caught 4 rares. By the same luck I have gotten 5 pink links, 1 pink box, 1 blue box, and 4 trunks whereas she has never gotten even one of that type of rare event. I honestly believe our luck is assigned to us randomly by the computer and it mostly depends on how many other people are doing the same activity.

Yeah, certain things are random and the type of "win" matters too...triple wings beat the snot outta triple devils heh
But the number of times you win and get 2 in a row does seem to increase after the break. I don't know how long it lasts for, seems to be around 50 to 100 spins. But if you exclude triple wing/triple giftbox hits, there is a definite advantage in waiting 12 hours.
I dunno if there's a schedule in it so much as it's just plain weird. If there was a schedule, knowing Gaia, they prolly glitch it up all the time rofl
Like the odds of catching a rare fish are believed to be 1 in 5,000. I have a friend who's fished over 7,000 buckets without one gonk It's just...weird.
