Who is He? His name is...

User Image"Ah? What do you what? My name? I don't recall knowing you... Whatever. It's Hayate Michaelis. What? Am I mixed? Yeah, so what? My mom's a euro and my dad's a jap. Does it really matter? Huh? How old am I? ARe you trying to start a fight? ...? My likes and dislikes? Jeez, you sure are asking a lot of questions... But like I said, I don't recall knowing you. So get lost, trash. I've got time to kill, and there's too many people around for my liking..."

Bio
Name: Hayate Michaelis
Race: European/Japanese
Age: 19
Profession: Actor(unwilling) and Writer (main job)
Likes: horror movies, watching accidents unfold, sleeping, eating, reading a good action novel
Dislikes: romance movies, Valentine's Day, the color pink, flowers, people who flirt a lot, being in a romancing show, cold temperatures
Life: He's a successful actor, no matter what role he plays. But he often ends up playing a flirt or being in a romance movie. On the camera, his expression is flawless...and fake. But it's enough for the audiences. The moment the camera is off of him, his expression is as grim as death. He only gives a true smile when talking about horror, death, and gruesome fights. As a result, those around him think he's twisted.
He's mostly known to be an actor, but he's actually a writer. He only has a few books out, all of them are actions or horrors that have, either a gruesome end or the villain wins in a twist of fate.

Setting: Hayate has just finished another series. To get away for a while to work on his books, he returns to his home town. It's a small town that's settled into the side of a mountain. Most known as a popular spot for mountain-climbing, sweet pastries, and artistic graveyard. (Meaning, the graveyard looks more like a sculpture art gallery than a resting place for the dead.)

User Image
Name: Travis Mont
Race: American
Age: 18
Profession: Actor
Likes: Romance, guys, romance movies, manga, sweets, the color blue, warm rainy days, acting.
Dislikes: Horror, death, girls, liars, fakers, sluts, whores, snakes, spiders, bees, mountain lions.
Life: His parents died when he was ten. They had been going camping and a mountain lion had attacked them. They had all tried to get in the car and drive off, but the big cat grabbed his mother by the leg and started to drag her away. His father had stuffed him into the car and locked the doors before going after his wife. Travis had watched both of his parents get mauled by the mountain lion. He had started to honk the horn and the creature got scared off. He went to his parents and was glad that they were still alive. He found his mother's cell phone and called for help.

His parents were rushed to the hospital where they bled to death. The mountain lion's teeth and claws had severed a major artery in both of them. Travis became an orphan and went to live with his Aunt Mari in Japan.

Growing up, even though he hated horror because of his parents' death, he developed a taste for horror stories, particularly ones involving animals. It was how he coped with the death of his parents. Once he was done with a book, he would always have nightmares of his parents dying like how the characters in the book died. His aunt never said any thing. Travis hadn't cried at his parents funneral or when they died. It was only after he read a horror story and imagined his parents in it that he cried. When he turned thirteen he finally came to terms with his parents being gone. It was also around this time that he joined the school drama club.

Travis was an amazing actor. His drama teacher always said he would get discovered some day. His teacher took the iniciative and invited a talent scout to one of the school's performances that Travis was taking part in. He was seventeen then. The talent scout liked what he saw and soon enough and with his aunt's permission, he was hired as an actor at a company.

Now a year later Hayate's manager has hired him. He is being paid to make Hayate fall in love with him. He has one year to make a man who doesn't believe in love fall in love with him. Travis had hoped being hired by the manager would further his career as an actor. Maybe he can consider this job as practice for acting?

Your Character: "___" is an actor that Hayate's manager hired. The manager is worried about Hayate indulging into his books too much. (Though, he really just doesn't want to lose his gold mine.) "___" has been paid to make Hayate fall in love with him. (Hopefully, fixing his fake-habit.) Problem is, Hayate doesn't believe in love.

Challenge: "___" has to make Hayate fall for him. The time limit is one year, for that's how long he'll be on break until the next job.

Hayate sighed, breathing deep of the rich, mountain air. It took two planes, a boat, and then a train ride, but he was finally back home. He shifted the small bag on his shoulder. He didn't bring much, as everything he'd need was in his home.

The town in the mountain side hadn't changed at all. The ridiculously tall stone steps leading in was still there, the town's sign was still faded, and the graveyard was still the most remarkable and biggest thing there. As he walked past it, he gave affectionate pats to some of the statues and grave-stones. He stopped at one in particular. It was a strange statue, portraying an angel with a demon's face. He gave a half smile, half-grimace. "I'm home, Michael."

Then he turned away from the graveyard and headed for his home. It was a 2BR, 3R typical house. One bathroom was downstairs, all the rooms were upstairs. Which, of course, leaves the living room and kicthen downstairs. When he inherited the house for himself, Hayate had one bedroom converted into an office for writing his books. The last bedroom was just a guest room, as if he ever had any. "Hasn't changed at all. Good."

Travis was sitting in a seat on a train with his face set in a scowl as he looked at the scenery rushing past the train window. Most people would have loved the massive mountains that were coming into view, Travis didn't. He hated them. They reminded him of how he had lost his parents eight years ago. His phone ringing distacted him before he could start walking down memory lane. He checked the caller ID before flipping the phone open and speaking into it.

"Manager, to what do I owe this pleasant surprise?" he asked, using his 'be nice to the boss' voice.

There was a pause and the sound of someone breathing before a voice on the other end replied," I called to give you the address since you lost the piece of paper I wrote it down on."

Travis scowled again. At the time he hadn't known what the grubby piece of napkin he had found in his mail was. He couldn't see the writing scrawled on it so he pitched it. He scabbled around in his bags before he found a pencil and a small note book. "Thank you. What is it?" he asked. A few minutes later and Travis had the address. He hung up and stowed his phone in his pocket. A few hours later he had arrived in Hayate's home town

"Who knew such a cold guy could come from a place like this?" he said to himself as he got off the train with his belongings and began the trek to Hayate's place.

Hayate was enjoying a simple turkey sandwich on the second floor balcony that was in the back of his room. A light breeze was blowing, teasing his skin with goosebumps and reminding him of his child years.

His peace was shattered as his house phone rang. The hell? No one is supposed to know I'm here! Unless... He walked inside and yanked the phone up, growling into the reciever. "What do you want Shukan*!?" (*Manager)

A voice breath in hesitation at his harsh tone. "M-Michaelis-kun... Sounds like you're doing well. I'm just calling to let you kow about your new room-mate."

A chill went through Hayate. "Room-mate?" He asked coldly. "When the **ck did I get a room-mate!?"

"W-Well...y'see...the company learned that you have a room you never use, and since you're usually away for long amounts of time at length, they rented out to empty room to a buyer. So, for the next year, you'll be living together. H-He'll be there soon."

Hayate fell silent before laughing. "Hahaha! A guy, huh? This is a laugh! Me? A room-mate? He'll not last the week, forget the year! What a waste of money!" He laughed crazily for a moment and then stopped abruptly. "Shu-kan...a raven will visit you in my next book. Look forward to it. Okaaay~~~ heart ." He then hung up. He hated his manager, but he loved terrorizing the man.

Much to his surprise he enjoyed the hike to Hayate's house. Though when he came to the cementary he quickened his pace and didn't glance at it. People could think he was rude to the dead, he barely visited his own parents' graves. He didn't like to be reminded how they died. Irionicly enough their tombstones had mountain lion carvings on them. His mom and dad had loved the very beasts that had ended them.

Finally he came to Hayate's door. He knocked and hoped he wasn't out at the moment. Though he wasn't sure what he would do if he was at home. He had read the man's file and he was just what Travis didn't like. As he waited he took out the horror book he had been reading lately. If he had a phicoligist the man probably would had said that reading horror stories wasn't good for his mind given his parents' death. Frankly he didn't really give a damn. That was why he skipped the phycoligist and just lived his life.

Hayate, not really wanting a room-mate, wen and grabbed a favorite toy of his from his room. It was a very realistic skull that he often pretended to speak from. He practiced with it for a time, to make she he still had it. He did. "I wonder what my room-mate looks like. Or better yet...does he like horror!? I hope he does!"

He paused as he heard a knock. "Heheheheheh~~~! He's here~~~!" He walked over to the door, opened the door with his empty hand, and thrust the skull out. "Hel-lo~~~! Are you my new room-mate?" He then looked out with his own face, wearing a cruel smirk. "AH? It's just a boy."

The book Travis was reading saved him from looking up into the face of the skull. Ironicly enough it was one of Hayate's own horror books. He only nodded his head in response to his new roommate's question. He finished the page he was reading before he slipped a bookmark between the pages and closed it. Then he looked up into the cruely smirking face of Hayate. Mentally he called his manager foul names. How was he supposed to get this demon to fall in love with him?

Travis looked at the skull and back at Hayate with an eyebrow raised. "Hi there. I'm your new roommate, Travis Mont. It's a little early for Halloween don't ya think?" he asked smirking.

Maybe he's slightly insane or a big fan of Halloween. Travis leaned down and stowed his book in one of his bags. He slung on over his shoulder and grabbed the handle of the other. "May I come in now?" he asked.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 11, 2010 2:59 pm

Hayate was somewhat surprised to recognize the book in the boy's hands as his own. So he does like horror!? This'll be fun! Then he noticed a strange look in the boy's eyes before he introduced his self. "Travis...Mont..." He tried out the name, his tone of voice suddenly quite level. "No, it's not early at all. This is just a prop from a movie set." He stepped back from the door. "I have many like them. Sometimes, having the very thigns within a story makes it easy to keep on the part. Don't you think?"

He turned around and walked further in. True enough, the downstairs was set up in a manner he last left it. The previous book he wrote (same one Tarvis held), occured in a similar house to his own. He'd set it up that way so he could figure out an ending. "I plan to do a new scene, but I'm leaving it like this for the moment." He stepped over the fake form of corpse with a knife in his chest. "That's Khalon from the prologue. Just like how I wrote it, eh? Poor old fool. But then again, who is not a fool in this world?"

The American tilted his head and his expression turned thoughtful as he listened to Hayate. As he walked in he couldn't help but think Hayate was right. Though he hated horror he wasn't afraid of it. He had a lot of respect for the authors of the books he had read and he had never read a book who's author was as deticated as Hayate was. "Cool," he said softly. He couldn't help the awe in his voice.

The fake corpse Hayate had stepped over Travis tripped and fell over. He gazed into the face of Khalon and his jaw dropped as he forgot to breath for a moment. He shook his head and stood up as he grabbed his bag again. "You're the most dedicated author I've ever met," he said smiling slightly. He stepped over the rest of the fake corpse and lifted his wheeled bag over it. "You're right," he said softly as he remembered his parents. If they hadn't gone camping.......

"Can you show me to the room and then show me the rest of the house?" he asked. He surprised himself at how eager he sounded to tour the place and he wasn't even acting.

Travis felt like he was on a movie set. He had been in a horror movie before, but compared with Hayate's house the set had been a sad failure.

Hayate picked up on the awe in Travis' voice. He smirked, slightly elated in having awed someone with his books. Tha...folks like that ain't around much anymore.

He laughed when Travis tripped and fell on Khalon. "Hahaha! Yes, he's very ugly, huh? But, I used what I had on me." Then he spun around in a slow circle as he moved further into the house. "'If we, humanity are fools for living, then are we geniuses for dying? An ever-lasting spiral of confusion. Just like this mystery before me here.' The words of the detective in book two of my series."

He stopped. "Eeeh? You want a tour of the place? What kind of sick freak are you?" He laughed again. "Then again, I', worse for making this place so and leaving it like such. Alright. You can have your tour. Though, I warn you, some bits I've forgotten, so I'm not quite sure wich closet is skeletons and which is actually coats." Just as he mentioned it, he opened a closet door, just to have several kinds of skeletons fall out on top of him. "A-ahbwagaah!!!" He threw them off him, letting them fall to the floor in any which-way. "Well..." He brushed soem dust off his shoulders. "...that's one."

Travis chuckled a bit. Hayate had no idea what kind of a sick freak Travis was. He didn't plan on telling him though.

He nodded at Hayate's warning about the house. When the skeletons fell out of the closet door he opened and landed on top of him, Travis burst out laughing. He wiped tears from his eyes as he finally gained control of himself. "I'm sorry Michaelis-san, but that was the funnyest thing I have ever seen," he said. He took his book out and handed it to Hayate. "Would you like a refresher on your house?" he said smiling.

He went up to Hayate and picked a spiderweb out of his hair. "Sorry it was bugging me," he said as he flicked it off his fingers with a bit of a disgusted look on his face. He gave a mental shiver. He hated spiders. Too many legs and they all were hairy and.........Erggg!!
PostPosted: Fri Jun 11, 2010 5:08 pm

Hayate was somewhat surprised when Travis laughed at the skeletons. "Ah...I suppose so." He never met someone who laughed at such a thing. This person, he didn't like them. He wanted them to scream, become fearful, not like this! He took the book slowly and scanned through it. "Ah...yes..." After a few moments, he shut it. "I remember now. Yes."

When the other pulled a cobweb out of his hair, he blinked. No one touched him, even less come near him. His eyes became serious. "Ah. Spiders huh. Stay out teh attic then. Who knows how many have spawned up there, and...don't look up. Especially when passing through doorways." He walked forward, stepping over the scattered skeletons. This guy...something is up with him.

The warning about spiders in the attic and not to look up especially when passing through doorways made the smile fall from his face. He gulped and nodded. "Thanks," he said weakly. He made a mental note to wear a hat inside the house. He followed Hayate further into the house. He took his book back once Hayate was done with it.

As they went through the house it reminded Travis of a haunted house. Like the ones kids at his school would host during the Cultural Festival every year.

"Michaelis-san, have you ever considered opening this place to the public on Halloween? I'm sure you'd make a lot of money to fund your books if you did," he said.

Travis stopped dead in his tracks as a spider dropped right in front of him. He stared at it in wide eyed terror and completely froze. He dropped his book and forgot to breath.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 11, 2010 6:21 pm

Hayate couldn't help but smirk when the other's voice turned weak. Heh heh...got him. Though, I can't talk. I don't like spiders much myself... Then he heard Travis mention opening the house as a haunted mansion. "Hm...perhaps. But...this is a little town set in the mountains. Not many folk pass through here unless they like mountain climbing."

He paused when he heard the sound of a book hitting the floor. Turning, he saw a spider dangling in front of the boy. He huffed and walked over, holding his hand out. The spider crawled into his hand, and then he crushed it in his fist. "Damn spiders... Looks like I got a lot of cleaning to do..." He went to the bathroom and washed his hand off. All the same, the look of fear on his face was superb. "Oi, Monty. If you're gonna be that afraid, then the tour is off till cleaning is done with. Though, since you're staying here for a year, you'll have to clean too. No work, no food."

Travis did a full body shudder once Hayate squished the spider. Then he started breathing again. He bent over and put his hands on his knees as another shudder went through him. Whoever said spiders were important could crawl down a hole and die. In Travis' opinion spiders were one of the worst things on earth. Though he had no idea when his fear of them had started.

"Deal, but I'm not cleaning the bloody attic. You can go up there," he said weakly. He grabbed his book and his bag and stood up again. Since they had already seen Hayate's room and the study, Travis assumed the the door they were in front of was his room.

"I'm going to bed. Night Michaelis-san," he said. He went into the room and turned on the light. was glad there didn't seem to be too much done to the room in the realm of horror. He went to the closet and breathed a sigh of relief when there weren't any skeleton's in it. He took off his shirt, dusted the closet with it, and started to unpack. He put the dirty shirt in a corner to be washed later and changed into some night clothes. Then he flopped onto the bed. He fell asleep almost instantly.
