Does anyone take Omega-3s?

I was reading that some people like to take Omega-3 fatty acid tablets Psycheducation.org
and
Omega-3 for Depression and Bipolar.

What are your thoughts on this? If you have tried taking Omega-3s, do you choose to use a particular brand because you think it works better for you? Have you found them to be beneficial or not?

I've been meaning to, but I have this thing called celiac disease. If I eat anything with wheat flour in it my body starts attacking my small intestine. I've been too lazy to go online and figure out which supplements contain gluten (the sticky protien that gives bread its elasticity and the stuff that my body doesn't get along with). I should though. It couldn't hurt.

Sorry for the mostly pointless post.

If you don't want to take supplements you can also eat fish or flaxseed. Those are both good sources of omega-3 fatty acids. 3nodding

I'm not abig fan of taking anymore tablets than I have too, if there is a natural alternative (such as fish) I try that instead.

I've always eaten fish so I can't really say.

I think that omega-3 fatty acids are only used to treat a mild form of bipolar disorder.

I wonder if it could help to take along with your usual meds?

I have celiac disease as well. It took me a long time before I could find a multi-vitamin that didn't have gluten in it as a thickener or ..whatever they use it for in that case. I haven't found anything whether the Omega 3 things are safe or not in this case..and my brother, the vitamin guru and someone else with celiac disease..isn't picking up the phone. xd I'll let you know if I find anything out though.
