Nate, Johny who likes being called "Lucky" (even tho he has bad luck) and Chris ( The one that seems to get the group into trouble) are sitting by the fire at the Salty Dog Tavern enjoying a bowl of stew when an old man in a tattered robe approaches them. Leaning heavily on his walking stick, he smiles and speaks "Are you adventurers?" Johny looks at the man funny because the whole town knows that they would do any job as long as it pays well. Chris with out thinking nods to the man and says "Yes that would be us how can we help you?" The man looks all three of them over with glittering eyes "I see great potential in you" He reaches into his robe and grabs a crumpled scroll and thrusts it at them "Here take this map. It leads to a section of a dungeon that is ruled by the giant, Narthak. he is a dangerous foe, but there is great wealth to be won in his domain. Prove your self by killing him and perhaps we will meet again." With that the old man hobbles out the front door,vanishing into the night leaving the three to talk it over if they want to take this job or not. The next day Nate Johny and Chris meet in the town square all agreeing on going to the dungeon. Splitting up they go to stores getting the gear they need in case it comes down to it and getting there weapons fixed. A few hours later they find themselves on the road with on the way to the dungeon. As they prepare to descent into its depths they all agree on the goal and that is "To kill Narthak and collect as much treasure as possible." Heading down to the dungeon they come to a door. opening the door and looking around at the room the are surprised to see that At the center of the room is a large covered well. the wooden covering is rotted in places, and see that the well itself is full of mud and slime. A pale green mist rises from the well and clings to the floor. they can also hear the shuffling of several creatures approaching from the shadows. As the creatures come into vie they are surprised to see what they are. Five beast man and a skeleton. Chris is the first to act he grabs his bow and a arrow and takes a shot at one of the beast man hitting it in the forehead killing it before it takes another step as it falls to the ground the others look at it confused surprised by the sudden action. Johny grabs his sword and charges one of the beast man swing at it easily cutting into two by this time the skeleton sees whats going on and grabs his bow and a arrow aiming it at Chris. Nate notice the skeleton and chucks one of his Daggers at it. Missing the skeleton he hit its bow and it falls to the ground the skeleton looks at him then charges. without thinking He then grab his other two daggers and quickly makes short work of the skeleton. as Nate look back around the room he see that Johny and Chris are all ready done with the other beast man after making sure there is nothing that will jump out at them they look around the room seeing if there is anything they could use. Chris takes the arrows the skeleton had and Johny finds the two doors at the back of the room one heading north and one heading east. Nate notice something shining in the corner of the room and heads over to see what it is surprised to find a chest checking it for any traps he then open it at the bottom foiled up lays a cloak picking it up he blinks staring at it in shock. It is easy to tell this is the Cloak of Deception thought to be lost long ago not able to believe his luck luck. Just then Johny calls to Nate and Chris as they walk over to him they look at the doors. Johny is the first to say something "So do we go north or east?" Nate look at the doors "maybe we should go east" The others nodding and Johny goes to open the door but it wont move. It ends up taking all three of them to move the door. looking about the room they are surprised to see that The ceiling slopes upwards to the north here seemingly carved out of the rock with some enormous hammer and chisel. Chunks of rocks litter the floor, hearing hear howls from the north. As they step into the room they see two fires in the dark. as they start walking toward them Nate notice that they are moving confused Nate look better and see that they are not fires at at but hell hounds they noticed all three of them and start running at the group as Nate grabs for his daggers Chris gets ready to shoot with his bow all of a sudden one of the hell hounds jump onto him. He yells out and Johny swings at the hell hound with his sword the blade not doing anything to the hell hound Nate grabs Chris and pull him away from the hell hound and head back to the last room johnny runs after them stopping by the well all three start pulling up its bucket and then look around for the hell hounds surprised to see that they are staying in other room Nate take the bucket and go over to were they are and tosses the watter into the room hitting the Hell hounds and putting the fire out killing the hell hounds. After that task was done Nate and Johnny wait around for Chis to feel better because of the burns.some time later Chris is up and the three decide to head father in. Coming back to the room that had the hell hounds they look around finding a strange red key as Nate is looking at it you they hear Johnny call to them and head over to were he is Johnny is standing next to a door on the north end of the room Johnny looks at Nate as he approaches "It looks like this is the room we need to go to but its locked" Holding up the key Nate smiles "Well lets try this" Johnny looks at him and lets out a rather long sigh "Why are you always the lucky one finding all the things?" Nate shrugs"I am just trained like that" and unlocks the door then all three of them push the door open looking in the room. Towering before them is a imposing sight. Narthak the giant looms upwards in the shadows like a great tree, his eyes gleaming red as he peers down at them with disdain."You have came here to die, heroes, and Narthak will bury you" with that Narthak grabs his huge club and starts coming toward the group. Chis stars at Narthak "What are we supposed to do agents him?" Johnny shrugs. "Anything we can" Nate look at them and nods taking out the cloak that he found earer putting it on and stepping into the shadows he disappears Blinking Johnny and Chris blinks. Chris then grabs his bow and takes a shot at Narthak only to have the arrow hit the think sink and stick in with out even having Narthak flinch. Johnny sees this then looks at Chris "The eyes tray the eyes" Chris nods and shoots another arrow at Narthak right eye. The arrow hits and Narthak lets out a yell in pain by this time Nate has made it behind Narthak and runs and jumps onto his leg and start climbing up to his shoulder. Narthak not really noticing Nate though the pain in his eye charges Chris and Johnny. they try to move out of the way but Chris is hit by the club knocking him off his feet as he lets out a yell of pain.Narthak then runs into the wall and he falls backwards it is at this time Nate jumps off Narthaks back and runs to his neck and start trying to hack at it after a little bit of hacking Narthak lays there dead. the group takes a breather trying to grasp what happened to them before they start the long walk back out it seems that they got out lucky the only damage Chris's left leg that broke from the club after it hit him. As they make it out of the dungeon Nate look at the Sky thinking how lucky they are to have made it out alive. after all they are only three now when they use to be six...
