I own a VW bug. I plan to steampunk it.
My first step is to cut away a portion of the back part of the car and I plan to inlay some glass to protect a series of brass gears that will be connected to the generator so that when the car is running, gears are turning.
I want to install a brass rack on the top, then do some brass and brown leather interior finishing, including replacing the odometer with something steampunk and using clock hands.
Any suggestions?

Wow, that sounds fantastic. I don't have any ideas considering I know very little on fixing up automobiles, but PLEASE post pictures of how it's coming along when you begin working on it. Best of luck to you!

Will do! It's expensive to do though, so I imagine it will be slow in coming along.

Kurisu of the Hellfire A steam whistle with a speaker to make the sound maybe? I have been thinking about a steam whistle, but instead of speakers I was thinking I might be able to add a heat-sink to some part of the engine to generate actual steam.
