Chaos and selfish greed consume those who have finally broken from their cage. Is it fear that drives them to act such violently? Or something more powerful? Questions were left answered, spawning more questions and more confusion. Is this the end, or just simply the end of the beginning?

A vast ocean spread out for miles and miles, a bright white beach, untouched by everything but the ocean's gentle caress, lined the clear blue water. Palm trees dotted here and there along the fields of grass that began awhile after the sand ended. Mountains lined the center of the island, watching out onto the vast ocean that held nothing but water and the ocean life.

An island of nothing.

The days and nights of the island continued with no change but the tide, the wildlife of the island coming and going, multiplying and dying, continuing the cycle of life without any touch of humans, or dragons, or angels, or anything but the wilderness. Yet one day, a creature unknown to all of the wildlife, appeared along the bright white beach.

That creature soon made a hut on the grassy meadows under the shadows of the mountains. That creature soon began to harvest the fruit of the island, fishing in the ocean with makeshift tools, yet never harming the island itself. The creature would explore the tops of the mountains during the day, returning to the hut at night to eat and rest, only to explore once more in the early mountains. The creature soon began to adapt to the island life, once blindingly white skin darkening to a deep tan, highlighting it's silvery blonde hair that would glimmer and bleach in the sun. The only sound the creature made, other than the work he did, came from an eerie hum or the echo of a bell that he wore as an earring.

Yet the creature, one day, did not explore the mountain tops, instead, he lay out on the beach that had protected him from drowning. Legs outstretched, the man looked up into the cloudy blue sky, arms behind his head as he just stared, only blinking slightly when a shadow formed out of nothing.

"You are ignoring your duties," the shadow whispered, tall form encased in a long cloak that barely moved in the salty breeze. Midnight blue eyes that seemed to reflect the night sky and stars, stared at the creature who did not respond to his words. "Your family, they are in need of you. Why would you, their husband, their father, their friend, abandon them in such a necessary time? We can not teach them the things they must know to survive in that realm, Noir." Anger was laced in the shadow's words, yet his expression remained unchanged.

The creature called Noir turned his eyes to the shadow. Eyes that had once known so much, were blank and vacant. He wetted his lips that had been cracked by the powerful sun, chapped by the wind. Why does a shadow speak to me?" he asked in a soft voice.

The night god breached the gap between the two them, grabbing a fistful of the man's simple shirt to pull him onto his feet. His cold expression was different, angry to match his tone as he throttled the god he once called master. "Your daughter is in need of you. Your wife, your lover, they need you. The gods are powerful, yet she still desires revenge. She has not been properly taught how to control her power, yet you are here on some island you dare conjure up to escape from it all? You disgust me with how you dare pretend you do not know!"

Noir shoved the god's hands away, standing and stepping back wobbly as he pushed back long hair with a tanned hand. His eyes shifted from blue to green, confused and torn. "She is calling me," he speaks huskily. "I must return to the mountains... She is angry I did not come to her."

The god's eyebrows furrowed and he watches at his master stumbled towards the mountains. She? What had he meant by that? For all he knew, Aella and Raine were back in the realms after a brief absence, not here on this island. He faltered slightly, looking from side to side before following after the man. He calls to Aella and Fauna silently, beckoning that they find him.

The fertility god slowly opened his eyes with the silent message he had just received from his lover. He had never been the type to nap, but Kishi's ways were beginning to rub off on him. He stood from his luxurious chair, long hair falling to his shoulders, down his back. There was something wrong with Noir, something that even Kishi was unknowing about. He took a step forward, appearing in the room that Noir used to keep, hoping to find Raine or Aella nearby.

Blonde eyebrows furrow when he sees the state of the once mighty and strong new goddess. If Noir would here, he would have easily without a second thought, snapped her back to her normal self, shake her enough so that she would at least hit him back for being so rough. Almost gliding across the room, he bends down to the woman, extending a hand and cupping her face, brushing away the tears. "Kishi has found your husband," he tells her quietly, conjuring a brush in his other hand. "Let us make you pretty once again, so we can bring your husband home to find your daughter." It pained him to see his friend like this, his friend who once smiled so devilishly to him, teasing his lover just to see him blush. Why had things become like this after they had done so much to ensure there would be peace? Where were all the smiles, the laughter? He was tired of feeling guilty for being happy when Kishi returned to his tower after a fruitless search for Aella's family. But Kishi found Noir.

The fertility god shivers with the words she spoke, feeling once more that they were all together once again. He can't help but let a smile tug at his lips as he grabs her arm gently, pulling her to the large bed in the center of the room. Blowing softly onto the bristles of the brush, he sits behind her, brushing her hair softly to rid of the tangles, the magicked bristles having a cooling affect against her scalp. "Kishi is watching over him," he tells her quietly, voice just as soothing. "He will not let him leave his sight again, not until you are there to rightfully punish the silly god for what he has done to you, drag him back to this bed." Untangling her hair, he begins to braid it with quick slim fingers, away from her pretty face.

That smile. The smile was back and the fertility god gave her a grin, pulling her onto her feet. "Let us go then," he told her, waving a hand to open a small portal. The scent of salt and brine wafted into the room, even more so when a cooling breeze came through the portal, along with the soft cries of sea gulls.

Kishi stumbled to follow after the god before him, breathing hard as the heat of the forest leading into the mountains became thicker and harder to stumble through. He stopped when he saw the other god stopped, looking over his shoulder when he felt a wave from a portal reached him. Fauna was here... Fauna and.. was that Aella? He sighed a long breath of relief, his rest soon over when Noir continued deeper into the forest.

Fauna's eyes widened when he saw Aella dash off into the strange land without him. He quickly ran forward as well, knowing it would be hell if he were to let something happen to her (as if she needed help, but the idea still scared him). He quickly caught up to her, grabbing her arm, hoping to calm her down as he tried to catch his breath. "Running through there like a mad woman isn't going to do us well," he told her in a gaspy breath. He looked around, not liking how the trees of the jungle were so close together, allowing little wind to come through. "We're on an island, so we can take our time to catch up to them."

The god of fertility huffed, annoyed at the woman's actions. Of course she was powerful, of course she had obtained a greater power that most of the gods could not match up to, but it didn't mean she could disrupt the balance of the universe, not after all Noir had tried to do to keep it.

Well, then he was kind of aggravated at his creator as well for the actions he had chosen to partake, but alas, he knew there was a reason. It wasn't like him to do things without half a mind, and he let out a long sigh as he looked through the tight knit trees, the faint pulse of his own lover's presence, fading in and out.

Just where were they going?
