User Name: D i n o - M o Student name: Alyssa Michelle Bates House: Slytherin Year: Graduated;; Care of Magical Creatures- 1st year professor. Age: Nineteen Blood: Pure Blood Wand: 9 3/4 in, Oak, Pheonix Feather in the core.
History: Alyssa was born to a simple pure blooded family. Okay, so maybe simple isn't the right word. Both her parents were death eaters. They dropped out of Hogwarts during their seventh year. After escaping Azkaban two or so years later, they decided to settle down for a family. First came Alyssa's older brother, and then her older sister a year after that. Eight years later, Alyssa was born. That's when the complications began. They had been the nicest parents, then Voldemort some how manipulated their personality, and they began abusing Alyssa. The other two, left unharmed. When she turned five, the both of them died in a battle. Alyssa's older brother and sister were in Hogwarts at the time, so only little Alyssa was sent to their grandparents house. Her bruises causing her to want to stay inside.
During the summer her brother and sister would stay, and comfort Alyssa trying to desperetly help her and persuade her to go out and play with the other kids on the block. Being stubborn she shook her head franticaly not wanting to go out, fear of her scars showing was the only thing holding her back. It was always like that. Her brother and sister being the kind hearted souls they were, would stay inside with her sacraficing their summer to be with her. When they both graduated, that was very heart breaking for them all. Alyssa was left alone now. No longer able to speak to anyone or play with anyone without being afraid. Her brother went off to train dragons, and her sister to go off and be with the ministry. The would write every now and again, but never enough for poor Alyssa. Her grandparents got tired of her staying inside all summer, so they threatened her into going out and playing. She had gotten her first acceptence letter to Hogwarts when she turned 11, but thy wouldn't let her go.
She quickly changed her ways, and forced her own self to go outside, hoping to prove to them that she was ready for the outside Wizard world, and that they no longer needed to protect her. At age twelve, she began her very first year at Hogwarts with her new found outgoing personality, and being as smart as she was they let her join as a second year. Her third, fourth, and fifth years were all the same. She was a kind person, and very smart for a slytherin. She made friends quickly, and would also recieve letters from her grandparents every so often, along with ones from her brother and sister. In her sixth year she was appointed to be a Slytherin Prefect. Later into the year, she did an unthinkable crime, but she was under a spell so she was not expelled from Hogwarts though was stripped of her title. That next summer she lost her memory in a car accident and her grandparents found it best if she just repeated her sixth year.
She left school early that year, and went on a trip to visit her older brother. She helped him train a few of the dragons. During the trip, her memory came back. Alyssa went through a small depression stage, threatning to kill herself for doing such an unthinkable task. A while into the summer, she finally got over it and left her older brother's side and went back to live with her granparents for the rest of the summer. Her seventh year was her toughest one yet. She got through it, but barely. Her grandmother was there to help her through the second half.
She is now grauduated, and only invited Kaydin over for the summer. It was strictly professional and only because she knows what it's like to be in his position.
She is now a first year professor here at Hogwarts, and is being supevised by her grandmother to make sure things run smoothly.
Personality: Alyssa had a bubbly personality until the abusing started with her parents. She went to being outgoing, to shy, in what seemed like a snap of a finger. She hid herself in the shadows at all times, speaking not a word to anyone. When they died, and she was explained to why they had absued her, she opened up only to her older siblings, but to no one else. When the graduated she shut herself off all over again. Afraid of everything and everyone, afraid to love. Though, when she got her Hogwarts letter and she wasn't allowed to go. She slowly forced herself to become bubbly and happy all over again. Her second time in her sixth year, she lost the happiness because of the cause of the loss of her memory. Now that she is back, and was finally convinced that the death wasn't her fault she is planning to become happy again. Still in between on that. But other then all that, she is really smart, and can be very crafty. She comes across as rude sometimes, but that is only because of the sheild over her heart, not letting anyone into it just yet.

User Name: D i n o - M o Teacher name: Margret Anne Bates House: Slytherin Year: Care of Magical Creatures observor/ 2nd year professor. Age: Fifty-Seven Blood: Pure Blood Wand: 11 2/3 in =, Redwood, with a unicorn hair.
History: Margret was a student at Hogwarts a long time ago. She was married to a Gryffindor after graduating. She went on to study care of Mafical Creatures, but could not pursue a career since she soon gave birth to a son. Micheal Joseph Bates. She stayed home and moved to the muggle world to keep her son safe not wanting him to get into any of the mess that she was involved in. Mainly, the Death Eaters and Voldemort himself. She went on to teach muggles until her son was all grown up and off to Hogwarts himself. He of course got himself in the Death Eaters, and married off to another Slytherin female. Who in turn produced Margret's granddaughter, Alyssa.
When the death of her son Micheal and his wife took place, Margret and her husband David took in Alyssa, her sister, and her brother. Since Alyssa was having an issue interacting with the children, she thought it best to hold the girl back from Hogwarts until she showed improvement. She sat back and watched for a good many months wondering when exactly Alyss would find it in herself to open up. When she did, a large smile grew onto Margrets face and watched as her Granddaughter developed into a young lady. When the Hogwarts Letter came once more, she sent Alyssa off to Hogwarts. Hoping that the Death eaters did not take her in as well.
Hearing the mess of what happened to Alyssa during her fifth year here, she automatically kept her at home during the summer and got her memory taken away of the whole incident. The blonde was okay for a while until the next summer came and the two of them got into a car crash. Alyssa's memory came back all to soon and Margret began to worry for her granddaughter. Unable to follow her to Hogwarts, she hoped for the best. When the teaching position came open, the now fifty-six year old women jumped at the oppertunity to take the teaching position in hope to watch over her grabdaughter in her final year.
Personality: Margret is much like Alyssa. She is kind, and has a very warm heart. Though she is rather vulnerable and is very sensitive when anyone brings up her son and his wife, along with Voldemort. She regrets deeply for joining his side. The blonde female is also a very big worrier. She tends to freak out over every little thing, expecially when it comes to Alyssa. She is protective to any child she meets. At times she can be stern, but prefers to befriend the children instead of scare them.
Pet: An Owl.
Position: CoMC's 2nd professor and Slytherin's head of house.
Other: The only reason she is back again for this year is to watch over Alyssa during her first year of teaching. She is mainly an observor and will assit in any way that she can.

The rules you must follow: o1. Behavior and Attitude: I expect you to treat me like you would your parerents; with respect. I will allow no goofing around when class in session. No talking when I'm talking, raise your hand and wait to speak until you are called. When I am finished with the lesson you may talk, but do so quietly so I may work.
o2. Homework, Quizzes, and Tests: Homework will be given out according to your class. The higher level in class you are, the more homework I will probably give. If I suspect that you or the class have not paid attention haven't learned a thing from what I was teaching, you will be given homework or more homework depending on the mood I was in before/during the class. The homework grades will vary depending on how well you choose to answer the question. There will be days where I won't give homework, and there will be days that I do. Classwork is due at the end of the period, and homework is usually due the next day, sometimes the end of the week. Listen to me, and I'll giev you that answer. Quizzes will vary also, depending on the lesson I am teaching. But I do try to guarantee a quiz at the end of every complete lesson. I tend not to dwell on a subject for to long, which is usually why there are a lot more quizzes than tests. Tests are mostly exams that are held at the end of the semester. Take them seriously, and don't goof around. I have a no cheating polocy. Stick to it, if you don't I will automatically take up your homework and not grade it. I'll also give you a 4 in my detention system.
o3. Tutoring: I have set up times for everyday that you will be able to come in and ask one of us any questions about a lesson. Let me know ahead of time what you want tutored on, that way it'll be easier for both of us.
o4. Abscenses and Tardies: If you are absent for my class then as soon as possible, come by the office and drop off a note from what happened. If you are absent and I get no note you will be refered to me, your head of house. So in other words, I wouldn't mess around. For tardies, I expect everyone in here on time. Hand me the note and apologize the minute you walk in. I don't want to have to pry it out of your hands and interupt the class. If you are late without a note, it will be a 1. Two times will be a 2. Three times a 3 and so on and so forth. I think you get the point. Please look at my detention system for the corresponding numbers.
o5. Detention System: 1. A nights worth of detention (come straight after you eat your dinner) and 5 point deduction. 2. A weeks worth of detention (come straight after your dinner) and 10 point deduction. 3. Two weeks detention, a note to your head of House, and 20 points deduction. 4. A month of detention, note to Headmaster, and 500 points deduction.

 ~Mary L. Austin~
Mary walked onto the grounds looking thoroughly irritated. She hadn't slept well, and she really didn't want to be going to class this early in the morning. She'd been grounded most of the summer, but she had been allowed to sleep as late as she wanted. Whose bright idea was it to make class so early in the morning anyways? Once she reached the grass area where class was held Mary moodily plopped onto it and looked forward. At least a lot of the annoying kids had decided to take Divination with the annoying Kathryn Yelsah. Let the new Professor deal with it. She looked like a freak herself having her hair dyed the way she did. Mary figured it was a good explanation for Divination since she thought it was a load of crap as well. It didn't change her sour mood however, and any student that spoke with her she snapped at angrily. When one of the Gryffindors snapped at her she jumped to her feet and pulled out her wand. "You wanna go?" She shouted her eyes showing her anger.

Alyssa Bates Oh, Alyssa was in total panic mode right now. Like seriously. It was the first class of the day. But to make it all worse, it was the first day of school as well. She began to pace everywhere outside. Who would have thought bubbly old Alyssa would be afraid. She wasn't exactly the one teaching either! It was her grandmother. She was just sorta helping for a good half of the school year and would take over officially next year. If she could find the tears, she would most definitely be crying right now. Stopping her pacing quickly the girl rose her left hand to her mouth and began to nibble at her already short finger nails. She was nervous. Panicked. Thrilled. Angry. Depressed. Everything all in one, if that was even possible. Catching the loud yell, the blone quickly stopped her nervous habbit and turned to face none other then Mary. She remembered the girl from last year.
With a small tilt of her head her eyes wandered of to her grandmother who seemed to be in a better mood than the one from yesterday. Marget gave her a nod, and Alyssa felt a small smile appear on her lips. "Ms. Austin, put your wand down." Her voice was forceful as she took a quick step in enclose the space between the two. "That isn't a warning either. However this is, if you take it out again I will give you detention. I don't care if a fight had not broken out just yet." Her eyes wandered over to the Gryffindor and she repeated the same thing to them as well. This was an interesting start to the day. Margret Bates Margret could see the nervouness coming from Alyssa, and the blonde let her heart go out to her. She felt horrible. Really she did. She understood what it was like to be nervous, heck she'd been nervous herself on her first day of teaching last year. It had been in the middle of the school year, kind of creepy you know? The short blonde haired women stood at a distance, in a much better mood then from yesterday. Yesterday was just pre-school jitters. Always made her a tad bit angry towards everyone. Right now she was in her element. Err, sort of. Her blue eyes wandered over to a young girl that was taking to a Gryffindor. Raising a brow she turned to her grand daughter who was looking at her as well. Giving a small nod she allowed the younger girl to take control for now. When class started, she of course would take back over. A small grin crossed her lips at how well Alyssa had straightened up. Maybe she wouldn't make that bad of a teacher after all.

 ~Mary L. Austin~
Mary spun when she heard her name. She saw that it was the young blond talking to her, and her face twisted into a snarl, but she lowered her wand. She couldn't go pissing off Professors. No matter how unfit they were. She listened to Alyssa's 'warning' and muttered a reluctant "Yes ma-am" before thrusting her wand into her bag and sitting on the grass once more. She glared at Alyssa, but remained silent, just waiting for the bell to ring. She knew her father wasn't going to like it if she wound up with detention the first day of school. Much less the first class. She guessed for that reason she should probably be glad it had been Alyssa that got after her instead of the older woman, since the older woman probably wouldn't have given her a warning, but instead given her detention, and maybe even taken her wand. She was Head of Slytherin after all.
Mary sighed dramatically as she laid back and looked at the sky just waiting for class to start. She found a rock near her, and started tossing it up in the air, and then catching it again. She wished she could still be in bed, but she knew that wasn't going to happen if she wanted to stay out of trouble. She did hope the Professors would give them an easy day however. Let them start to unwind from the summer instead of throwing them full force into a heavy school load. Mary hated Professors like that. Well, not all Professor like that. Professor Yelsah was like that, and he was probably her favorite Professor. The one down side - of two really since Kathryn was his daughter - was that he started them off so hard. Why did he have to be such a hard nose anyways?

Mary sulked through the entire lesson, but she remained quiet and seated. As the first day of class it was kind of slow, and that's how Mary liked it. That didn't change the fact that they had homework however, and that Mary wasn't too thrilled about. She quietly wrote it down on her homework parchment and packed up before heading to Transfiguration. As she realized she was headed for Transfiguration she couldn't help but smile. It was her favorite class, with her favorite teacher. Sure she also had to put up with Kathryn, but Kathryn wouldn't try anything or be half as annoying in Transfiguration because she had to answer directly to her father. As Mary thought of this she shook her head. How could Professor Johnathan Yelsah be the father of the sniveling and annoying Kathryn Yelsah? Mary had learned last year it was through adoption the summer before, and that had helped explain it, but still. How could the man stand her enough to adopt her? It all made Mary shudder.
 ~Laura S. Brechkovsky~
Laura walked onto the field as the 4th years were walking off. With a heavy, tired sigh, Laura set her bag down. She rubbed her temples slightly to see if it would get rid of the headache she had somehow managed to receive. Mostly because of her sister. Alright, all because of her sister. Sure Benediere had given them homework, but Laura was used to it. It was Viktorya and her mind games that made Laura so worn out. One thing was for sure, the Professors were going to see a side of Laura that they had never seen before. She would fight to stay strong and proper, but she knew she would wear out, and sh feared Viktorya would eventually make her snap. Laura had a perfect no detention record however, and she was going to do her very best to keep it. If somehow she failed and got a detention, she would then make her goal to get as few as possible. She was a Ravenclaw after all. It didn't look good to have her getting detention. Add in the fact she was a prefect, and she would pile shame on so high just for one detention. She pushed all of this out her mind however as she knelt on the grass, pulled out parchment, ink, quill, and her Care of Magical Creatures book.

Harvey Wilkinson Harvey walked down the sloping lawn towards the cabin at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, breathing in the cool morning air and the scent of dew upon the grass. He loved morning for this very reason; everything was fresh and new, and anything was possible. He saw that Laura was, once again, the first one in class, so he walked down the last bit of grass and took a seat next to her. He remained quiet as he took out a quill, ink and parchment, unsure of what to say in greeting. Harvey figured that maybe he should just stay quiet for once, but class was about the only opportunity he ever had to speak to Laura, so it would be counterproductive to waste a perfectly good opportunity to speak to her, right? Feeling that he had already caused enough trouble earlier by speaking to Laura, Harvey remained quiet and simply stared forward, waiting for class to begin. Viktorya Brechkovsky Viktorya trudged down across the grass to Care of Magical Creatures, tired from waking up so early and as unhappy to be at Hogwarts as she had been the day she found out she had to attend it starting this term. She saw that her sister and Harvey were already there and sitting next to each other, but remembering how things had escalated last period, Viktorya simply sat a good few feet away from them to keep her distance. She took out her parchment, quill, and ink and threw her head back to stare up at the sky, hoping that the shapes in the cloud would somehow wake her up.

 ~Laura S. Brechkovsky~
Laura watched first Harvey, and then Viktorya walk over to join her for class, and couldn't help a small smile when Viktorya sat several feet behind her. So her comment about Zanbrecher had struck home after all. She had no idea how her sister had felt about the woman at Durmstrang, but if it was anything compared to how the students here felt about her, Laura was sure her sister harbored at least some fear for the woman. Thinking about that made Laura shake her head, half in amazement, half in humor. She doubted that Viktorya would ever fear anybody in the slightest. Then again, the girl did behave their father pretty well he got upset with her. Seeing her silent now however made Laura smile, and she turned cheerfully to Harvey. "Sorry about my sister Harvey. The only things she cares about are herself, and annoying me. We got into trouble with Papa and she got sent here so she is determined to rebel, and make my life absolute hell. I'm determined to get by as well as I can with her here. I haven't had a single detention while attending Hogwarts, and I intend to keep it that way, but at the same time I remember that I have a terrible temper and that could be my undoing. It's part of the reason she's here, and part of the reason that we were both in so much trouble over the summer. It's my biggest fault."

 ~Samuel S. Samson~
Sam came bolting out of the Greenhouse as soon as he could so as not to miss the girl on the Care of Magical Creatures lawn. When he saw her just packing up he couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief and smile. He straitened up and double checked to make sure he was clean. It was pure habit, especially after any holiday, for him to make sure he was clean since he was[i/] indeed a rancher. He then straitened his hat and strode towards Viktorya as confidently as his nerves would allow. Once in front of her he tipped his hat and took a deep breath. "Morning Miss. It's Brechkovsky isn't it?" He smiled sweetly at her "I'm Samuel Samson, but you can call me Sam. May I walk you to your next class?" He took her bag from her and slung it over one arm before offering her his other arm. He figured if he just respected her, and introduced himself, he would fare better than just walking up to her and asking her out like some crazy animal. It was somewhere in the back of his mind however, that if this girl said yes, Colt would probably kill him. Colt was probably going to kill him either way, but he would kill him worse if this girl said yes after Lasil had turned him down. Sam found himself hoping she hadn't been too harsh about it. From the way Colt had acted, Sam could tell he was disheartened, but he would have to wait to get the full story. The one thing Sam knew, was that Colt had been dealt solely with by Mason. If he had been sent to Wixom or Brocksby he wouldn't have returned as quickly, if at all.
 ~Laura S. Brechkovsky~
Laura had sat quietly the entire period. She was glad to hear the bell though because it meant she could get up and stretch Her classmates may sit and squirm the entire time they were in class, but Laura was as stiff as a board. Not moving so much as an inch accept when she was taking notes. Students around her could sit and talk all they wanted. Laura would listen, but never participate. Even 5 years into being at Hogwarts. When the bell rang however, Laura stretched quickly. She didn't take long however because she didn't want to dawdle on her way to History of Magic. Professor Mason was new, and she didn't want to go leaving a bad impression. Not that Laura was ever late to any of her classes. It was just how Laura was.
When Laura first saw Samuel Samson coming towards them she didn't think anything of it. Though most of her classmates were still packing their things, Laura had already secured her bag tightly and slung it over her shoulder. She turned to walk to the castle, but at that moment she saw Sam approach her sister. She watched him for a moment and stared in shock when he smiled at her, started talking, and even took her bag. As if that wasn't enough however, he then extended his arm to her. Laura realized that if she watched this much longer she was goroughly distracted and be late. With that she did a perfect about face and marched quickly towards the castle. Even with her leaving the scene however, Laura couldn't get the image out of her mind. Who in their right mind would be interested in Viktorya? There wasn't a soul at Hogwarts that had ever so much as tried to take her bag. Let alone offered to walk her somewhere. How could ice cold Viktorya get so much attention? What was Laura doing so wrong? Laura found her eyes burning, and was shocked to find tears falling. She tried to wipe at them quickly, but they continued to fall. To keep anyone from seeing Laura suddenly broke into a run and headed for the ladies room.
