How did you learn how to read?

I learned to read from watching sub titled anime, my parents would watch it, then when I would ask what they were saying, my parents would pause it, and tell me to read it myself.

I had fun, learning like that.

I can't remember, but supposedly my sister taught me when I was really young, and supposedly I was also pretty good at it.

The only thing I can remember definitively is that I could read at a university level by the end of kindergarten.

I don't remember exactly... but I know that my dad bought me all those old school reading computer games like Reader Rabbit and those computer story books. I had a lot of fun... until he tried getting me to do math computer games..

Well i do not truely recall when i learned to read japanese but english i do know i learn from my dad.
