Right I put this up on fanfiction.net after someone told me it almost made them cry. But I wanted to see what you guys thought of it too.
Nick held him, even as the fever set in and his body shook, he held him.
Even as he hacked and coughed, blood dripping from his mouth,
even as his skin lost it's color and his mind started to decay,
even when the wounds began to fester and pus dripped onto his suit,
when the sounds of whimpers and sweet nothings turned to growls and low moans,
Nick still held him. The never ending rain soaking him to the very bone
muscles aching from sitting in the same spot for so long.
And when it was all said and done, when the infection had finally taken him
Nick still held him
Reaching up to remove the cap, planting a soft kiss on his forehead
It was the last bullet, there was a whisper of words, broken and loving
Even in death Nick held him, bloodied head close to his chest
He wanted Ellis to hear the sound of his heart breaking.

That's a touching short story there. I have to give you credit, it's pretty good.
