CARPATHIANS AND LIFE MATES

Carpathians= Carpathians survive by drinking the blood of humans, but unlike vampires, they do not kill their human prey. Carpathians use their telepathic abilities to “call” humans to them in order to feed, and then use those same abilities to erase the humans’ memory of the incident. All vampires were once Carpathians. A Carpathian male "turns" into a vampire when he kills while feeding or loses his lifemate. Carpathians mate for life. This is because males and females are different in nature; while the females are filled with compassion and light, the males are filled with an inner darkness, capable of great violence. After 200 years, a male Carpathian loses the ability to feel emotions, sexual desire and see in color. As a result, the darkness slowly spreads and consumes their souls. At this time, the only thing they feel is the thrill when they are about to make a kill. The only way they are returned to them is when a male finds his lifemate, the "light" to his darkness, the other half of his soul. Once lifemates find one another, the male recites the bonding words. Once this is done, it cannot be undone. They must touch minds and share their bodies often.

Appearance=Carpathians are extremely attractive and alluring, and most are dark-haired and dark-eyed. But there are mixed bloodlines that cause them to have different colors for hair and eyes. But all in all they're still hott! whee

Abilities=
Longevity-Carpathians live many times longer than humans. The maximum lifespan is unknown, but several have lived to the age of 2000 years. In addition to living longer than humans, Carpathians age much more slowly. In their childhood, they age roughly at the same rate as humans. Once they reach physical adulthood, their aging process slows dramatically, and they maintain their physical peaks for centuries.
Telepathy-All Carpathians have the gift of telepathy, the ability to speak “mind to mind” to one another. This telepathic ability can cover vast distances, even across oceans. Once two Carpathians have exchanged blood, they can communicate with one another without anyone else hearing them. Lifemates use this ability to strengthen their bond with one another. They use this ability to call humans to them in order to feed. Vampires often plant compulsions, compelling humans to comment awful acts, including murder. In addition, they have the gift to communicate with animals.
Shape shifting-All Carpathians have the ability to shape shift into various animals. They most often use the forms of wolves, owls, bats, and leopards. They can also take to form of mist or fog. They often use these forms to protect their sensitive eyes if they have to rise before the sun completely sets or they need to enter and leave a dwelling undetected.

Oh yea! Did I mention that Carpathians have healing saliva? And can materialize clothes out of nowhere? ^^

Lifemates=is the equivalent to wife or husband. Carpathians mate for life. Also they usually have some type of psychic ability. They are often hunted down by vampires and their minions (zombies, humans that are under their control, etc.). Like in the Carpathian description they are basically the light to they're darkness, bringing once again emotion, color, and so on.

Appearance= for the lifemate all things vary but I haven't heard of an ugly one yet! wink They can basiclly be anything from human to wear-creature and so on.

Abilities= They also vary (but please if your a lifemate don't over rule the Carpathian Males) Most have Psychic abilities but not all. Usually the ones who don't have it will gain it through the Carpathian constantly talking to her/him in that way or from the first blood exchange.

THE DRAGON SEEKERS These are a rare few! They have at least a small if not full blood line to a carpathian and contain a varied sized dragon like birthmark on their bodies. They are said to be really strong and can live even if their lifemate dies.

LONG LIVE THE PRINCE (literally he's almost immortal lol)

THE REAL THREAT TO THE WORLD

A Very powerful Wizard named Xavier! A force to be recond with! He knows almost ALL the spells in the book plus they're counter attacks. Can command shadow spirits (dead spirits who get stronger and stronger while fighting and can't disappear unless the right incantation is said) and even control the Master vampires.

Right hand man... or thing= Razvan:: Razvan was a halfbreed wizard/Carpathian. He has been gaining his powers by drinking the blood of Carpathians.

She feels like she is a dark being out of a vampire novel who will soon be turned into the very thing she hunts! Little does she know... Her darkness is is nothing compared to that of her future lover.

bio/history: Once a Grand Duke of a medium city back in history, he fell in love with a vampire that took an odd outlook among the vampires. She saw humans not as cattle but as a sign of the future. Lamia sired Graven and eventually they bloodbonded with each other. Graven and Lamia were happy but the darkness seeped steadily into the Carpathian. When Lamia was murder by Vampires of a rival clan Graven's madness consumed him and he hunted down those that killed his Lifemate. The more he killed the more he thirsted, until he found that humans no longer satisfied him. So he preyed on those he hunted. Further insanity was lost and eventually he finished his rampage and retired to his Manson. Where he prowls the grounds of his castle and sometimes the cities around him.

bio/history: The PRTS once originated from a cluster of bounty hunters who were hired by the king of a distant land to erradicate Vampires and Carpathians. They did their job so well that their bloodlines and traditions have continued to this day, headed and funded by the US Government. Now constantly on patrol, they seek to understand, capture, and erradicate the vicious vampires, while leaving the peacefull ones, such as most Carpathians, to their own lives. Jonesy has been with the PRTS for about a year now, and has seen his share of raids.

She paced a bit going over her plan. "Okay! I'm ready" She paced once more and walked toward he door to leave. "'m ready.." She walked outside and felt the cold airs breeze blow onto her face.

High in the mountains is where she needed to be and she wanted know one to know where she was going. Locking the door behind her she made her way to the base of the mountain and traveled up into 'their' Territory.
