As you know,mating among dragons is a very serious thing. For dragons, they only have one mate-- rather like humans in most cases-- and unless their previous mate dies, they will not find a replacement.
Dragon mating can take place at anytime of the year, which is to their advantage for certain races of dragon. Since dragons lay eggs, the female's pregnancies are much shorter than that of a humans. And to add to that, in most cases, the eggs hatch nine days later.
Dragon offspring also grow at a rapid pace, at least their human form does, the dragon form grows at a slower rate. But the dragon form will show their true dragon age, once their human form reaches adulthood, their human form will cease to age...
If dragons have a mate they do not like...something will happen..........
