Deep in the woods of Tuulan there was a small mountain village with no more than 100 people living there. They had all the crafts: blacksmith, butcher, tanner, carpender, potter, miller, warrior, 'hospital' (just a house filled with healing herbs andother such heal-y things), church (they did not have a specific god, they just prayed to whatever they thought was there), inn, market and a tavern. They had normal scares from wolves and mountain lions. There weather was very severe, blizzardous winters and scorching summers. They had an occational wanderer and very few visitors, both of whom were treated as royalty because of how rare they were.
In the world they lived in, many strange and magical things were abroad. Wizards/mages who were reveared for their skills with magiks, elves who hid in forests though had extrodinary strength and inhanced senses, healers-who are much like mages but cast spells of healing, and various other magikal being who are not known to many. Then there are the dragons. The rulers of the world. Their intelligence makes them the most cunning of beings, not to mention their mass and ability to fly. The only creature in the entire world with the ability of flight. (no birds exist in this place) Even though their mighty strength seems domineering(sp?) they rule with gentle words and laws so as not to frighten the 'lesser beings'.
This small moutain town is full of humans, though because of how deep they are int he wilderness they are often visited by elves, who showed them crafts sich as basket weaving and the art of using green houses so food is available in the deep months of winter.
