I saw that video the other day and I cringed the whole way through it. It's a sad fact that people can be so uninformed about an entire population of (almost always) peace loving individuals. sad

I define atheism as a personal disbelief in a higher deity or simply the absence of belief that any deity exists.

I agree, that's pretty much all we can attempt to do.

I was lucky enough, though, to not have very many fundamentalists in either my high school or college. It's kind of odd since my high school was mostly made of farmers and kids from the suburbs and my college is a trade school with even more farmers and conservative kids. I guess they're just not very outspoken about the subject.

I find it hard to believe the video is real. I could not watch the whole thing, because even though I am not all that educated, some of the things said were just to stupid to continue on. I think it had to be a bit of a set up video. I know there are some people that think in ways like the video, and it is scary.

As far as Atheism. Its not believing in a god. That is it. No higher power. It does not mean a lack of spirituality, or being close minded, or anything like that. It just means you do not believe in god.

As an Atheist, I do not believe in god. I do not count god out though. There are many questions out there that we are not able to answer, and many of those we will never be able to answer. I would be a bit close minded though if I said god or a creator was not possible. I dont think it matters though. If there was a creator, or if there was not a creator, it changes absolutly about how we are anyway. People will still be hateful either way, and people will still be diffrenct. So what does it really matter?
