Human rights has reached new heights never before believed possible. Medical technology has advanced to where humans have genetically altered DNA in order to create hybrids.
These hybrids are unable to use human speech, or at least, that is the common belief; There are some who have the ability to learn, though they don't get much chance to. These hybrids can be found with any variety of animal physical trait: House-cat, dog, tiger, lion, wolf, horse, leopard, panther, you name it.
There are even those with bird-like traits, they are usually talented singers and kept as pets that are looked at but not touched. Pets are used for any number of tasks. They also come with many different personalities and likes/dislikes.
In a way, they are very similar to normal humans, but they are easily identified by the tail and ears, or in the case of bird-like pets, the wings. There are some who disagree with the idea of having hybrid 'pets', while others want to have large packs of them, go for exotic breeds, or keep only young and attractive ones.
The place you can get these hybrid creatures? Why, the famous pet-shops that you would have heard so much about. There are a number of pet-shops, those that specialize in exotics, those that sell only pedigrees, and those that carry all kinds(whether a thoroughbred or a mix). One such shop is known as "Yuuwaku no Myou", a petshop that has been given the title of finest petshop in all of England, heck, in all of Europe.
London is where 'Yuuwaku no Myou' is located. It is also known as the 'Dark Temptations' Petshop. The owner is a kindly, young-looking man, who is a bit strange and quite mysterious. He has a reputation, though, as a bit perverted.. The pets he sells are all beautiful and usually well-behaved, though with a few exceptions.
The shop is easily spotted amidst the surrounding buildings, as it has a traditional Japanese store feel to it. The room you enter as you pass the sliding doorway is wide and spacious, couches set in ordered disarray for the hybrids to sit upon as they wait for a human to buy them.
Two doors at the back lead to other rooms. The left door leads to where the hybrids sleep at night, also where more dangerous hybrids and younger hybrids are kept during the day. The youngest age a hybrid can be sold is at 15, but sometimes a younger one is sold by accident. Urahara is one of the only two pet-shop owners that actually breeds and raises hybrids as well as sell them.
The other door leads to the upper and lower floors. Upstairs is his private living quarters, and downstairs is where he has medical equipment set up for checking up on the health of the hybrids he sells. I'm not going to go crazy with them, I'm pretty sure most people get the picture by now. -I'm pretty lenient actually..- 1. LITERACY
Please don't post less than one paragraph, even with writers block. Correct use of grammar and spelling PLEASE. There is no reason why you can't make friends with a little thing called 'spell-check'. I love long posts, but please don't have them in small fonts and/or light colors. Minimum size should be 10 for main post-text.
Third-person POV, please (except of course for thoughts). OOC is to be done with double [], (), or {}, and kept to a minimum please.
Make them pretty. Have the picture to the left or right, colored text or differentiate speech from text, or thought. italicize thoughts, bold speech, etc. But please make text readable, no pale pinks, yellow, etc.
2. PROFILES
I don't want you to edit the Profiles Skeletons in anyway, shape or form, They're not up there simply to take up space, they are, in a way, a bit of an application form and your ticket into this RP.
I know that if you sent in a profile, you're very eager for it to start, but I ask you to PLEASE, and politely, wait for your Profile to Appear amongst the others, OR, simply wait for me to send you an 'Acceptance PM'. That's your way of knowing that you're in and you're allowed to post.
Also: fill out the form CORRECTLY! No hybrids with a half dozen or so charms/collar colors...its too much.
CHARACTERS
If you've read the storyline then it is pretty much obvious that the races of the hybrids differ depending on the person, but that doesn't mean that there is a limit on the amount of species the hybrids can be, but please, be creative. There will be NO vampire, NO werewolves, or another Cliche races. Just make sure that you're creative when making them and you are unique with them as well.
The owners, on the other hand are simply human. Also, You can have only TWO Hybrids and TWO master's each, both must be male. I also don't care if you play a character that's not the same gender as you, in other words, I'm fine if you're a girl playing a guy, or even a guy playing a girl.
The characters you make, in their own right, are the main focal point of this, but I'm not discouraging the use of NPCs in order to make things interesting. They often help bring in the drama and add ideas and interesting effects that the other may build upon. BUT that does not mean that you have the right to kill off the characters, you can kill off as many NPCs as you want, I don't care.
Also, please note that if a bunch of the characters are gathered together, PLEASE make an effort to interact with them! Example: when they are in the shop.
NOTIFICATIONS
Alright, often times I've had role plays go down the drain because, well, people have left suddenly without a word. The thing that I want to see come to light with this issue is that I'm at least notified WHY you're leaving, and WHY you're not posting. I also want to know WHERE and HOW LONG you're going to be if it's a planned absence. I've had people ignore the warning PMs I've sent them about not posting, and it's a shame most of the time because I've more then likely enjoyed RPing with them. So please, if you know why you're going away for a while, or if you were suddenly told you had to go somewhere, let me know, especially if it's more then three days. Thank you.

G-moding, harassment, or spam. No instant romance, it can happen quickly, but not instantaneously. The more drama, the more exciting and fun the RP will be.

Pitchfork: Demonic/impish, loves pulling pranks, doesn't listen often. deceptive and devious, can fake innocence
Pair of Dice: Good at gambling, lucky
Tree: Plant/nature lover, loves being outdoors
Flame: Pyromaniac(loves fire... A lot), keep away from flammable objects, matches and lighters
Pencil: Can read/write(English, or any other language, depending on species/nation of origin)
Scroll: Old fashioned.
Glove: Chivalrous, gentlemanly. (Knight-in-shining-armor type). Protective of his master

Black: Very Defiant, does not trust easily, can be quite dangerous under the circumstances
Red: Very independent, rarely does what they are told, very flirtatious.
Green: Meek, submissive and very obedient, also slightly clumsy
Pink: Very quite, very very meek, will ALWAYs do what's asked of her.
Orange: Is rather lazy and can be rather disloyal
Yellow: Very Kind, Very obedient
Blue: Very Tame, very maid-like, mostly used for housekeeping
Purple: Used as an Entertainer at parties and is generally very playful
Gray: Very innocent, fresh to the slave trade and needs to be handled gently.
Dark Red: Untamed, Disobedient, and generally is shackled.
Indigo: Meek, but non-submissive. Generally does what he wants, but, on a whim will do what is told to do.
Sky Blue: Always seems to have their head in the clouds. A slight space-case, but is very happy-go-lucky. Always eager to please whatever owner they might have.
Silver: Tends to be very smart, is much like a bookworm.
Dark Magenta: Very feisty and very free spirited, doesn't like to be controlled very much.
Lime Green: Very outdoorsy, very much a nature lover, has been born/raised in the wild.
Gold: Very outgoing. Much like an athlete, loves sports.
Steel Blue: Very mysterious and has either total or slight amnesia.

This is my Life: 'Yoru' is a high-school student at a prestigious British boarding school. His father is rather fond of exotic female hybrids, and has tried getting Shinobu to show an interest in them as well. Shinobu, however, is unable to find females attractive, human or hybrid, due to an experience when he was young. He doesn't talk about it, and acts like he was unaffected by, or has gotten over, it. He hasn't, but it isn't an issue in his day-to-day life. A friend of his mentioned the all-males hybrid shop in London, and he has decided to pay it a visit.

Bio: Danik was raised and bred in captivity, so his education is lacking. Communication for this dog is limited to small, at times one-word, sentences if he speaks at all. Though speaking is a weakness, listening is a great strength for Danik when he has enough focus to pay attention. Danik would've been used for breeding, but his hair coloration (brown) was against 'breed' standard, along with his long, curled tail (breed standard=short tails). His pointed ears can give a clue as to when he is paying proper attention, or daydreaming about something else, depending on what they are zeroed-in on.

When Angelo was just born, he was taken away from him mother and immediately started working for different masters. What Angelo really wants, is of course freedom, but what he needs is a master that can hold him to the ground. To keep him safe, or maybe even just dominated, whichever, Angelo needs control.

To all your dreams, hopes and illusions. ~*...Darkness...Magic...Power...*~  The day was warm, being near the middle of the summer, and near oppressively muggy. Keiji hated London weather, it was too different from Tokyo. He didn't wish to go back though, as there were painful memories from Tokyo that he'd rather forget.
He was walking down a near-deserted street, not surprising really what with the weather being what it was, when he came across a shop that reminded him of home. It was a Japanese-styled shop. The front was very much like the one his family owned in uptown Tokyo.
Feeling nostalgic, he entered the shop and nearly believed he was back home for a moment, until he noticed the unfamiliar shop-owner who was leading a group of hybrids to the front of the shop for display.
The man noticed him and walked over with a grin on his face, which was mostly shadowed by a funny looking green-white stripped hat. "Irashai, [how may I help you?]" He asked in Japanese. Keiji's eyes opened in shock.
"Ossan, Kimi wa nihongo wo hanashimasu ka?" He replied, not answering the shop-owners question. The man merely smiled and nodded in reply. Keiji then chose to answer the mans earlier question, "Hai, well... I want a hybrid. I saw your shop and decided to but a hybrid once more." His English was heavily accented, clearly it was his second language.
The man introduced himself as Kisuke Urahara, using the English way with first name then last, and told him he could look around if he wanted to. Then the man turned, indicating the conversation was over, and went back to back back of the room and through the door on the left. The door he had been leading hybrids through when Keiji first entered the shop. ~*...Dreams...Hopes...Illusions...*~

I'm Falling in the black.+A mutt? No. But I might as well be.+  Danik yawned, stretching his jaws as he followed the shopkeeper out to the front of the shop for the day's displaying. The hound hybrid didn't pay much attention to the other hybrids that had also been brought out with him, but his pointed ears zeroed in a newly entered customer's direction as the shopkeeper meeted and greeted. The dog-teen quickly lost interest though, people came in and out of the shop all of the time, after all, and few seemed to take interest in the daydreaming brunet.
Most, if looking for hounds, looked for purebreds of a young age or breeding stock. Danik was of good linage, but his unusual coloring and large curled tail made him good for neither breeding or showing purposes. And as for being young ...
The brunet yawned again and used one hand to scratch behind one of his large ears before staring blankly at his feet. Dan was not playful or puppyish in any way and had a bad tendency of zoning out. Not good traits when one was looking for a buyer. But, then again, Danik had never had the privilege of being bought before. His life so far had consisted of the breeding farm where he had lived for the first fifteen years or so of life, a small 'half-way' sellers market where unwanted hybrids were sold off to other sellers, and then this shop. Most of the time he'd had only minimal attention and no real time to play around except for the first couple of years with his 'litter-mates.' And even then he had been just as much as a daydreamer, inclined to carefully observe one thing at a time or secretly listen in on conversations.
Like now. The customer sounded, to Danik, similar to the shopkeeper. Not in voice, but in accent. The hound had learned mostly English from where he had been bred, and the foreign sounds were almost totally alien to his sharp ears that were swiveling to pick up most of the conversation.
When the shopkeeper left Dan just relaxed further in his spot, sure that the customer probably wouldn't take any real interest in him past a first glance. Most didn't. He understood that; he didn't take much interest in them either.
Dan fiddled a bit with the Yellow and Sky Blue color around his neck, carefully feeling the soft texture of the leather beneath his fingers as he pondered what would come to happen to him in the far-away, but also oh-so-near, future. +Do you think I'm worth a glance, or not?+ Can you hear me?

Kiroshi 
Kiroshi sleepily slithered out of the back room were he slept at night with the other pets. He blinked as the sunlight hit his eyes and he rubbed them with his hands. "Good morning Urahara-san," he said politely as he passed the shop owner. He looked around already seeing some pets lounging about on the couches. He slithered over to an empty couch by a window so he could sun himself while he waited for the customers to start to come in. As he settled himself on a brown couch that was already warmed by the sun he noticed the customer who had just come in.
He stretched out on the couch fully and rested his head on his crossed arms. He smiled as the warm rays of the sun shined on him. He soaked up the warmth enjoying it greatly. He prefered summer to winter. Winters were just horrible to him. He was always so tired and slow. Most of the time he was too tired to move out into the front of the shop. He hated being cold as well. He just couldn't cope with it. He let out a soft hiss of contentment and relaxed.
He wondered if he would get bought today and looked back at the customer with his golden eyes. With red hair and light blue eyes the man certainly was beautiful. He looked away and closed his eyes. Beautiful men rarely took an interest in him since he wasn't particularly strong or cuddly. Plus he was too shy to talk to them when they did come and talk to him. He sighed softly. The two men who had bought him became bored with him after a couple of months and sold him back to the shop. His second owner had so far been the last customer to buy him or take an interest in him.
In truth he didn't mind too much. He had been born and raised in the shop and it was his home. When he had first been bought both times he had been home sick for a month and had craved his owners' attention even more than usual. Once he had gotten used to the place he started to call it home. Then a few months later his owner's didn't want or need him any more and sent him back to his original home.

To all your dreams, hopes and illusions. ~*...Darkness...Magic...Power...*~ Keiji noticed two hybrids right away, a snake-like one that, though attractive enough, was a little younger than him. He also wasn't much of a snake person to begin with. He'd had a bad experience with a boa constrictor hybrid when he was a child, back home, and hasn't been too fond of them (or real snakes) since.
The other was some kind of dog hybrid, also looked a little younger than him, he thought that the boy was a Basenji, but with light brown coloring. He knew that that would make him 'undesirable' for breeding purposes, but he thought it looked rather nice on the boy.
The dog hybrid looked rather spaced out, and almost reminded him of Caine-kun. his hybrid from before he moved. Caine was like that too, a space-case and a ditsy klutz. Caine was also five years older than Keiji was. Caine had been rather dominant in bed, and only docile when they weren't alone.
He made a decision and walked over to the canine hybrid to get a better look at him. "Hello there. What is your name?" He asked slowly in English, the word he'd had the most trouble pronouncing was 'hello', it came out more like 'her-ro'. ~*...Dreams...Hopes...Illusions...*~
