Amongst the numerous bars and pubs of the Darkmoon part of the city is one in particular which draws a unique crowd of adventures, low lifes, and secretive people with their own plans of which they slowly move in action with.

((This bar is meant for role playing to grow into being, come here and enjoy the company of others and start your adventures.))

In a stool at the bar, the shadow mercenary Ordon leaned over the counter. In front of him was a glass of clear liquid, possibly vodka, but those who knew him knew it was more likely to be water. He'd only recently discovered the place, but had taken a liking to it. It wasn't too bright or noisy, and it smelled slightly of wood.

The Red Moon's owner was a mysterious attractive woman of whom made her fortune through long ago adventures and opportunistic marriages with wealthy elder gentlemen who spend there last years alive with this patient mistress of beauty. Those days were behind her now that she had enough connections within both the lawful world and the underground thieves of this city to sell goods to anyone paying the most for it. The establishment played host on occasion to auctions, selling items brought in from adventurers of crafted days beforehand and the mistress Isabella got a small profit of everything sold.
And so the newcomers to the Red Moon are yet to be introduced to the secrets that can lead to fortune and adventure that the pub has to offer. Common enough, Isabella often finds qualities in her alcoholic drinking costumers of which calls upon them to do her favors with the promise of payment soon to come and often to come afterward.

A tall man entered the pub, immediately drawing the attention of its owner who shared great excitement for Tein Path arrival. The man was didnt speak much yet expressed notice in the shadow mercenary in his own little corner for a moment before being escorted to a table by Isabella who then went off to find Tein's favorite drink.
Both men wielded weapons though Tein's were a little harder to spot than Ordon's. Yet Isabella wished the use of your weapons not be used within her pub she was okay with you still bringing them within. Tein had markings on his body showing to all his distant native land that only those with years of adventuring and traveling would recognize as a pass enemy of the Samuras of whom the Samuras drove back further away from there lands and shared the same dislike for one another that they had decades ago.

Ordon glanced at the newcomer. He was unusually large, seeming to give off a 'don't ******** with me' aura. He noticed the man eye him, noting his magnum in the holster at his thigh. Ordon also had the Memories Edge in his pocket, but otherwise seemed unarmed. Ordon shrugged to himself and bit into a corned beef sandwich.

After being given his drink, the giant man was left alone with just the wine and his thoughts. Occasionally he looked up over at Ordon, noting to himself that he hadnt seen him in the pub before.
Then again newcomers to the pub was often common what with its owners other business within her establishment. It was rare for those people that Isabella liked to never return whereas those who got on her bad side usually never returned.

Tein watched Isabella go over to Ordon, asking the man if he needed anything else and then speaking closer to him, mentioning a possible need for his skills sometime in the future.

Ordon leaned back and glanced at the pub owner, one eyebrow raised.
"And what skill set would you be seeking for the future?"
He took another bite of his sandwich, and noticed the large man watching him.
Wonder why he's so interested?

She smiled curiously, odd for a mercenary to be questioning possible job opportunities but perhaps this one had morals to keep in check.
"Occasionally i may need to call on a gun slinging man for hire, it is only suitable that you would be the person i call on, is it not, Ordon?" She spoke his name, her information on anyone coming into her pub was quick to gain for herself.
Tein's attention drew away from the two conversing. He looked around at the others in the pub. Most were just noblemen seeking a good time with drinks and or women though on occasion he spotted a city guard posted at certain doors or some members of the local thieves guild doing business at a table.

"If gunning skills are what you need, I think we can do business. All I ask besides payment is information about my missions. I hate getting surprises. Just out of curiosity, who's the big guy? I notice that he seems more interested in the patrons than his drink."

"Oh him?" She said, looking down at the man. "His name is Tein, a long time associate of mine. He is always cautious like that and being so has done him well over the years."
The man they spoke of now returned attention to the drink in front of him. Wine, a gentleman's drink though Tein was far from that title. He wasnt one for drinking and when he did so he often choose one that wasnt as bad for you as the other could be.
She was quick to call upon his services, sitting down with him and sliding a good amount of coins his way across the table. It was a little while until she spoke up about the job at hand.

"In New Ballan there is a jouster who for weeks now myself and my associates have believed the man has been cheating on the jousting field during the tournaments. His cheating has caused a number of bets to go the wrong way and i am a lawful person in the gambling that goes on here, i want fair wins and fair wins only. I need you to gather proof on his cheating and if there isnt any proof..I want you to create some..Either way, i no longer want this man jousting in Luth'ol. Understand?"
PostPosted: Fri Apr 23, 2010 11:39 pm

"And what would constitute proof? I am not too accustomed to jousting, myself."
The coins remained untouched on the table. As a rule, Ordon would not take money until he was sure he could complete the job. It was one of the many things he did that allowed him to have a high success rate.

"Something he does with his lances, spiking them or illegal length. He could even be poisoning the tips of the lances." She said, more or less telling him what the accuser is doing or telling him what Ordon should do to the lances to make that 'proof' appear.

Tein stood up and headed off into a doorway, the door quickly closing behind him. There he met a half a dozen robed men and who seemed to have been waiting for him. "Let's continue.."

"I see. Quite some crimes there, could seriously injure someone. Only natural that he or she should be stopped. And who am I looking or again? I don't recall you mentioning a name."

"His name is James Betta, a half elf noble whos taken more of his human side than the lawful good nature side of his elven family." She explained, looking off to see Tein and noticed he wasnt at his table anymore. She spoke quicker now. "He spends his days when not on the field at a Bartholomew pub off in their district of the city. I suggest then you inspect his tent at the jousting grounds."

"Anything else?"
PostPosted: Sun Apr 25, 2010 7:08 pm

"No, I think that's enough. Pay me when it's done."
And with that, the mercenary downed the rest of his drink and stood.
