 redface redface Silly me I got so caught up in things I let our Guild Anniversary slip by this past Saturday. So we shall now celebrate a belated Anniversary. Thanks to everyone for making a great first year. To Kick off our Second Year as a Guild I have a few announcements. First: I would like to propose a promotion for our resident hard-working Moderator: Punk Fox. I am going to put up a poll- please answer honestly. If people stand behind it Fox will be promoted from Moderator to Vice Captain- giving him similar controls to the ones both myself and co-founder Hank have. Second: If Fox is promoted we are going to fill his position as moderator. This process we are currently discussing. Third: There will be a contest. That is for certain. But before we do anything, as always, we need your feedback- and we have to wait till after I've taken my most recent exam. Fourth: There will be some sort of fun ceremony... or something. Thoughts? Fifth: Happy Anniversary Guild!

*claps.*Good to know our guild has grown at least as much as it has in the last year. We don't have many active members due to time constraints. But we still manage to keep going, and have some awesome insightful posts!
But on a bleaker note though. I've been here for a little while and have yet to meet our other founder hank. crying

As for ideas on party/ceremony ideas go, why not have a so-to-speak role-play of a party or ceremony where we all "bring" different treats, etc. (a.k.a., post the picture of the item on the internet and post it back here, etc.)
As far as contests: I'm always up for a tektek or a scavenger hunt (although, I'm not very good at them). 3nodding I can't think of anything else at the moment. xd Must be still asleep. rolleyes

Chi- Hank is a lot like Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia. He comes and goes as he pleases, he's not visiting often, but when he does he makes an impact.
Bakura-
I love the role play idea! Especially since many of our members have dabbled in role play at some time. Also, I think waaaay back in Gaia's pre-history it used to have a lot of role playing.
The next step is to pick a theme- if anyone has some ideas let me know.
These are the best I can think of:
-Masquerade or Cosplay Ball. Moderators will take on the personas of hosts of the evening- there will be virtual dancing, feasting, and fun. Changing your avatar for the event is a must ^_^
-Awards Show- done this in the past in other guilds- I liked it. This would be more award driven, but it's a good vehicle to recognize outstanding members.
-Virtual Party in Towns.

Yay! Me had good idea! blaugh [/end intentionally kid speak] I like the idea of changing ones avatar to match the theme, whatever that is we decide on. I second the award show, but am not to keen on Virtual Party in Towns as my computer some times has a tendency to hiccup per se. xd

If people can note what day they are most likely to be available we will go from there. Obviously in a thread based set-up we don't all have to log in at the same time- but I know people generally like to chat it up when more people are online about the same time (or at least the same day).
Good days for me: Thursday, Friday Night
Bad Days for me: Tomorrow (Class night), Saturday

May not even matter since there are so many things which may call me away, but my best times are in the evenings (except Tuesdays). Best day is Sunday.

Well I am a horrible person- I forgot that tonight (thursday night) I was playing in my boyfriend's Scion game. I also forgot how long said games can go with character creation.
Anywho- I just need a theme from everyone.
Essentially this rp will just be playing yourself (or your gaia self) at a party of some theme. Obviously no combat or anything weird- so we don't need stats. You just have to play make believe, like when you were a little kid- the original rp smile You know, when you were an astronaut in your back yard or a race car driver in a big box, that stuff. <3
I need some feedback on themes you like, dislike, or want to suggest. I'll go from there and make something people will like.

AntoniaMerEnfant You forget that they were helping me- a complete n00b. When you've never played a game before character creation takes a long time because every stat has to be explained. See, I always teach new players like this: Describe what you want to play in as much detail as possible, I'll try to make the sheet for you.
