Raine walked into the dirt clearing, bits and pieces of her hair falling onto her face. She brushed them away and waited for the students to arrive. Normally Ninotchka would come and help her get through the first meeting with all students intact, but the other teacher was busy. Raine guessed the other woman was out drinking again, she never had gotten over the incident. If it wasn't that then perhaps Ninotchka was doing legitimate classwork. Whatever the reason, Ninotchka wasn't there and that slightly annoyed Raine.
Raine put her hands on her hips, and blew the hair out of her eyes as she ran through the groups first meeting in her head. They'd start out with introductions, as were custom among humans, then move to paper work then check water supplies and head out after distributing the maps. It sounded like a good plan, but she hoped the trees were in good spirits because they didn't take kindly to visitors when they weren't.

Her right eye twitched as the peace was broken by a clumsy student finding their way through the foliage. Raine had heard them coming for a while, but she hadn't expected them to be so loud, nor had she expected them to walk off the path. Clearly some things would need to be explained to the students.
"Are you all right?" Raine asked looking at the student with a bit of concern in her eyes, "I'm Raine, and you are whom exactly?"

"It's not a class, its a group," Raine replied with a twitch of her good eye, then she handed the student some papers, "You need to sign those before anything else can be done."
A breeze hit Raine full on as a wandering Belle Morte signaled to her, the magic wind whispering in her ear and telling her not to take the students on path 41B. That didn't change her plans much, so Raine decided not to reply-Besides which it would've been strange to do so with a student standing right there.

Raine looked away as she took the papers, then absentmindedly looked through them. Seeing all was in order, she observed the student, they seemed... Human like.... Questions bubbled in Raine's mind, such as the purpose of the strange glass apparatus on the girl's head and why she was so cheerful. Instead she restrained herself, it was improper for a woman of her profession to mingle to much with students. She didn't want to end up like Ninotchka, but seemed not to understand why Ninotchka's situation was so unique.
"Alright then, they're all in order," Raine said, "As I said before, my name's Raine, I teach the magic classes here on campus. Welcome to the OA, Aurora. We've got three major rules which must be obeyed, one keep water with you at all times, two don't stray from the path-Ever- the forest is a dangerous place, and three consult me or Spraeg before taking a hiking trip-Better yet, tell both of us before you go. Any questions?"

"The trees are alive, there are their protectors and nymphs as well, and specters and creatures: none of which you'd want to run into alone," Raine replied eying the student carefully before continuing in a happy tone, "Don't be so worried about the creatures and specters, the nymphs and elves take good care of them: I'd worry about the trees, not all of our kind are as kind as we. Now. Anymore questions?"

"He's... A friend, and another diplomat of the forest. Unfortunately he doesn't stray much from his Mother tree," Raine replied, her eyes falling over the student, she finally remembered where she'd heard their name from before, "Do you have enough water?"

"Hmm.... Looks a bit skimpy," Rained responded as she eyed the water bottle, then thought of what the students would be doing, "You'll want a bit more then that, and some sunscreen. We're going to be out here for around four hours and I have a surprise for you students."
