 Okay I am curious what you all think of it. Am I the only one who finds it underwhelming compared to the original.
My philosophy is don't mess with a good thing.
Same thing happened when they decided to make a Vampire Knight anime stressed
Thoughts?

i haven't seen it yet but i've heard that it is supposed to be much more faithful to the manga than the first series was.

i only have the seventh manga so i don't know about its faithfulness but i liked it, there seems, certainly in the first episode toe some more interesting use of alchemy as weapons,

From what I've heard it follows the manga exactly, minus the first episode. It may be less serious and dramatic as the first series, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I still cried when Hughes died in Brotherhood, maybe even more than I did in the first series. Besides, the art and music are great, the jokes are funny, and it's kinda neat to see all the things that were left out or changed.

I haven't seen either this series or the original anime, but I did get up to volume 14 or 15 of the manga. I might actually be checking Brotherhood out, but only after I've finished the original Fist of the North Star smile .
