With his ears pinned back with suspicion, Red took in all of the trees around him, making sure that none of them moved. He was practically stalking one in particular; watching it, but all it ever did was twitch its leaves, and only when a wind blew through, "Don't think you're fooling me." He told it, lying down on his belly stubbornly.

 Cautela giggled as she walked side-by-side with Maggie. Cautela had had some trouble getting used to Maggie's energy, but now that she was, Maggie was her constant source of laughter. She whisked her tail and pulled her ears back gently as she giggled. Maggie growled, frustrated. She was splashing around, fruitlessly trying to catch those damn frogs! They croaked and mocked her from the mud. She shook the dirty water out of her fur, as if that would do any good. She had gone from white and brown, to just brown. "Whar do dey gooo?" Maggie growled and stamped the water in frustration, getting her more muddy. She decided she should try and clean herself off a little. She jumped into the forest litter and began to roll around. The leaf litter became stuck in her fur, and she didn't realize it.Cautela giggled. She didn't tell Maggie she looked like a walking tree, just tried to hold in laughter as Maggie trotted around with sticks and leaves coming out of her. She jumped up the embankment created by the stream that led to the pond they were in, and followed Maggie into the woods. After getting tired of waiting for Maggie as she sniffed about, presumably looking for small animals, she trotted ahead. She smiled at the tall trees around her. She heard some sort of sound from the trees nearby. "Maggie! C'mere! And be quiet!" She whispered. Assuming it was a small animal Maggie would enjoy chasing. Maggie crept quietly over, and Cautela peeked around the tree. "Never mind, Maggie. It's just another wolf. Sorry." She blinked. The wolf's red fur stuck out like a sore thumb among the drab of the forest.
"Fwend!" Maggie yipped happily, and raced to meet this wolf, thinking she was clean, and not covered in leaves and branches.

Hearing a few voices, Red's head snapped upward as he looked around, taking his eyes from the stationary tree, in just enough time to see another running straight for him. Letting out a loud cry, Red ran, and ran fast. He had run like never before, pushing through the twigs before him, stumbling over tree roots, splashing through small streams, only to end up going in a frantic circle, and in front of his worst nightmare again; only this time, out of breath, and even more shaken, "S-stay away!" He backed with a whimper, backing up into another tree. "I- I don't know what you w-want, just, st....STAY AWAY!" He shouted, trembling.

Maggie was so confused. Why did that wolf just run away like that? She sat back and let out a loud howl of sadness. She sniffled. "Fwend...?"
Cautela gasped. What just happened? She cantered to Maggie. "what was that all about?" Maybe I should go check it out... "Uh, Maggie. Stay. Stay."
"'Kay."
Cautela weaved through the forest, easily finding Red's trail of tipped rocks, broken branches, and caught fur.
Ellie trotted through the woods, looking for Red. He holds spy meeetings? Who else goes? She put her nose to the ground, and found his scent. She trotted, following it, following it, until she head rustling and whimpering. She peeked around tree, and found Red, pushed up against it, shaking. "Red! Red, what happened?" She yelped.

Red was scared. He wanted Star, he wanted Jasper; he wanted his family! He was so miserable, he could howl. Oh, he never should have run away!! A voice called him out of his misery, and he ran to Ellie, "Th-they came after me!" an ear-splitting yelp erupted, as he tried to hide underneath her legs, "I-it was running right at me...a, a tree," he huffed, and a flurry of whimpers followed.

Ellie blinked. "A tree chased you?" Yeah, okay... No, play along Ellie... Ellie snuggled him and licked the top of his head. "It's okay, Red. I'll chew every one of that mean tree's branches off! Would you like that?" She tipped her head and smiled at him.

Snuffling, Red continued to vent, "It was going full speed...I actually saw it move, Ellie! I did!" The pup was still worked up, when he noticed a pink muzzle (Cautela) poking through the trees, and cowered underneath Ellie once more. "That would be good..." he mumbled, feeling a little comforted, but still afraid that the tree would return when Ellie wasn't looking.

Cautela tipped her head. What was up with Red? Ha, a rhyme. She slipped out of the surrounding forest, and approached him. "Red? Are you okay?"
Ellie blinked at Cautela. "A tree chased him, he says. Do you know happened?"
Cautela sighed. "That wasn't a tree! It was Maggie. She got covered in mud and then rolled in leaves. She's no tree."
Ellie grinned. "Red, see? You're safe!" She leaned to whisper in his ear, "Maybe, if Maggie looks like a tree, she can spy on them for you!"

"Wh-who's Maggie.." Red questioned warily, but otherwise ignored teh two commenting to him, "She's...not? Then..w-why did she chase me?" Red yelped out again, before turning to Ellie, and a smile flicked onto his face, "Y-yeah!"
