To the north back in the Entrance Hall is a grand staircase that leads to both wings of the castle; going straight ahead takes the party into the magnificent Ballroom, where a number of plot points take place

 Through another open window Vanity's crows flew in and reassembled him and Stark. They all piled upon each other to form their bodies, once complete they fluttered out through the window; leaving the two men to stand there with each other. Vanity wondered slightly where Ryu was and how was he managing but he had more important things to take care of. "Well here we are...the place where my beautiful plan will take birth." Vanity said sweeping the bangs from his face to reveal a large sharp toothed grin.

Stark stepped out of the field of crows he stroked his lush blonde-white hair. He pulled gloves from out of his pocket."That was..unpleasent."Stark commented and then scoffed he walked forward to the large window in the ball-room he grabbed the large handles and shut the collosal door-window.
"The draft was a bit chilling"Stark said sarcasticly Vanity unknowing of his ability. He was feigning uncomfortability."What have you in mind anyway. And for what cause?"Stark remarked as his eye skimmed the Ball-room."Its a nice room for a savage dance to take place indeed."

Vanity held out his hands and few low leveled Heatless extended from the ground twitching rolling their heads. Vanity also summoned a small horde of his crows, they had no special abilities but with hearts as dark as the night they would be able to muster up a nice amount of trouble. "Go my children." Vanity whispered. All the Heartless and crows scattered out into dark portals that lead to several parts of the castle. They would reak havoc and chaos on all he lived there. "I plan on drawing the master of this castle out."

"Now why do you want to do that."A voice said out of nowhere belonging to no one they knew. If they were listening closely to the voice they would be able to tell it was coming from some where high above, and if they knew that all they needed to do was look up to see Caritas Luxuria a heartless just like them sitting on a banister high above them."Wait I think I know why."The Caritas said his voice cool, and calculating and he let himself fall off the banister landing softly on the ground."Your that guy from Bell's Village yes I remember you, you were always so envious of her weren't you Vanity."Caritas clearly knew who Vanity was how could he not he was from the same world as him, the very world they were on in fact.
"Now if I also remember correctly you gave into your hate and envy and became a heartless through that such an ugly way to turn don't you think."Caritas' voice was still cool, and calculating but the insult was there clearly meant to enrage Vanity to send him off the edge."So you want to hurt the beast, well I can't let you I can't let anyone hurt Bell not even you."as he said those words the Caliga Grimoire appeared open in his left hand and the Agnitio Pen appeared in the other."I'm sorry to say this but you must disappear."with uncanny speed Caritas wrote something in the Grimoire.
The room suddenly grew cold as the temperature seemed to plummet down to freezing, and all the light int he Ball Room seemed to be sucked right into the Grimoire something dark was coming and Vanity and Stark were not going to like it. A black liquid poured forth from the Grimoire accumulating in front of Caritas and it glowed with a sinister light."Come Forth Rexrgis of Obscurum."Caritas muttered his voice so soft Vanity would have hard time understanding what he said but he did not need those words to understand what was coming as a large beast [x] burst forth from the dark pull and a massive killing intent filled the entire ball room like a dense fog. For a moment it looked at Vanity before it attacked disappearing into darkness before reappearing behind Vanity about to behead him with a swipe of his hand.

As Ryu finally honed in on Vanity, it was no surprise to find him in the audience of others. Coolly observing what he had appeared into, Ryu coaxed his head to one side. Both of the guys that were in the room really didn't illicit any darn emotion out of the boy heartless. Letting out a small sigh, he was about to stalk off into the direction of where Vanity stood until the blond heartless dropped off from the top of where he was perched, producing two very intimidating weapons. Sensing the need to act, and act fast, Ryu began to beckon the heartless at his call. This was the only real thing that he could do. Pooling the largest amount of energy he had ever dared to use, he enticed whatever curious heartless would dare come. It wasn't so much that the boy heartless was trying to call tantamount amounts of smaller heartless, he was trying to bring forth something bigger, something that could par with whatever type of beast the blond had set on the leader of this siege. Normally he really would not have cared but for some unconscious reason he had reacted very quickly to the assault on Vanity.
Sensing that some large heartless had acknowledge his calling, Ryu opened up a link of darkness for it to get here, directing it to appear at Vanity's most vulnerable side, his backside. It was with good intentions too, for the heartless beast that had been summoned, immediately began it's assault, appearing behind Vanity. Collapsing to his knees, the amounts of energy that Ryu had wasted was just too much for his body to handle. Resting on his hands, he smirked, knowing he had indeed made it in time. A large scythe of some sort shot up out of the darkness that had pooled behind Vanity. A large clang was heard as both sides clashed. Reaver began to pull itself out of the darkness it had been called from, still parring the beast, one arm shaking as it fought off the force from the creature.
The smaller fry that he had accidentally summoned as well, began to emerge from their own darkness ports, their jackal and hyena like calls echoed around those in the room. If this fight went off right, Beast would be aware of them without chaos having to be run rampant by the other heartless. The Dark Harbringers watched, waiting for their opportunities.

Stark heard the smug Caritas speaking out clearly proceeding to foil Vanity's plan to take the Castle for himself and cocked his right eyebrow he made an arrogant scoff and looked in the direction that the voice came from. A man sitting on a banister with a book and a pen. Stark placed his hands in his pocket and awaited the exchange of words. When the Darkness began to vaccuum the light and leave total darkness and chilling air. This man clearly meant harm at this point. Moments went by and Stark at the appearence of the first savage heartless, Obscurum; spreaded out his arms and tilted his head up to feel the chilling air of the obscure darkness. Stark's pupils widen and another smirk crawled slowly across his face as it seemed that this Caritas made the perfect setting for the 'beautifully savage dance' a reality.
Stark began to levitate toward the head of the ballroom. He thumped his corsage to create a glistening droplets of magical energy to drop onto the floor creating light for a brief moment before being consumed by darkness once again; to get a good feel of what the other creature summoned by the child appeared to be like. It seems that it was in defence of Stark's new aquaintant."Oh, my Vanity it seems that you've brought quite an issue to our hands.."Stark pulled his gloves tight and quite frankly he was speaking out to the belief that Vanity would hear him.
Stark muttered to himself, as two staffs the size of persons appeared and began to rotate around Stark. One staff had a shining and glimmering with sphere of ice at the peaj and the appearence of it in itself seem to make the temperature around even colder. The other was arced at the top and had nothing inside of it, the use would go unknown at this point as Stark would not engage unless engaged. His purpose at this moment was simply to create enough light for himself to get a clear perspective of the Ballroom. Seems that it would be an entertaining battle of two beast fit fine for even a king to watch first and then spilling of a scribe's blood. Stark rehearsed the same thought that flowed through his mind from the moment that he arrived to this Castle."What a lively group I'll see around."

  "Well what do we have here? Is that you Uggo?" Senrai called out with a chuckle upon seeing Vanity, "How's your face? Still has a footprint in it I see." he taunted wickedly, summoning Redemption in his left and and striking down a large number of crows with one Thundaga spell, the smell of burning flesh filling the air in the room as the keyblade master looked around with an amused expression, barely even glancing at the titanic beasts engaged in struggle before him.
"You all are quite rude, don't you know you shouldn't just barge into someone else's home and just start trashing the place, such bestial behavior I must say." he said wryly, wondering which one would be the first to attack him, or if they would try an all out swarm.

"Pwhoar. That stinks. What'd you do that for?" Ishril shouted after Senrai from around the corner after he burnt the crows to a crisp. She, unlike Senrai, was not such a big fan of the smell of burning flesh. Then again, each to his own, perhaps Senrai just loved meat. That was all fair and right wasn't it?
She skidded on the floor, making a lovely white mark on the ground and splattering mud or something from her shoes onto the surfaces.
"Ooh. You guys are Heartless too right?" She said and then laughed. The sort of laugh you'd expect to hear from someone who had every intention of driving a spear straight through your face and then lobotomising you. Somehow. Another good way of describing her voice would've been eager.
She put her hand back and pulled out her spear from the sash on her back. Making sure everyone got a good look at it, or at least, making sure they had a good chance to look at it. She even tried to draw a bit of attention to it by smashing it on the floor then bringing herself into a fighting position.
"Hey Senrai. Which one can I take?"

Serah skated through the entrancehall, seeing the entrance to the Ballroom lay directly ahead of her. The back wheels of her skates skidding even faster as she shot towards the staircase, soaring up it and dropping upon the landing. Her eyes glared forward as she could see Senrai, talking as he usually did. And then there was Senrai's little friend. Not someone that Serah could remember, perhaps they had never met. but she was talking to, surrounded by heartless but this is what they chose to do. Walking inside she'd be astonished by the sight. Two enormous heartless locked in combat would be what she saw at first. One with pincers and sharp feet, it's body being much akin to that of several scythes attached to a singular body. Perhaps it's original color was a midnight blue, its ends stained with the red blood of innocence. Then again it was always possible that the red was also of it's predominant color. The second beast seemed a mass of black shadow, in short it appeared to be the most basic form of heartless just in a much larger size. it's form not seeming tangible, but why were two heartless fighting each other.
Her head shifted to see a man standing there. He had blond hair that swooped from his front tot he back, random strands laying about, and his outfit was peculiar. Albeit stylish it wasn't something she saw often. What was he? Was he the reason one of these heartless were summoned. Serah blunk sharply as the cold air swept over her. Eyes shooting upwards towards the chandelier where Stark made his position. Another one up there as well, but who was on her side. Well besides Senrai and his friend she had no idea who else was actually there to help in the name of 'Good'. Well, at least, her interpretation of good.
She trodded up behind Senrai and slapped a hand on his back. "Stop talking and do something!" Her eyes rolled as she got a better view of the room. It was then she'd see the tamer of crows himself, Vanity. "Ewww, ugly's here to?"

Caritas's hand was a blur as he wrote down calculation after calculation in the Grimoire which such elegance and grace that it put the swordplay of some of the best swords mans to shame his technique was amazing and if one could see the true art of it they would think so to but alas not many recognize such art as his, which each calculation Obscurum's power increased, making him stronger and stronger and soon he was far more powerful than the heartless Ryu had summoned, clearly no match against his beast.He referred to it has a beast as it was not a heartless nothing that came from the book was a heartless merely a creature of some sorts that has been stored in it. Heartless weren't the only things that went bump in the night.Even after increasing the power of his beast Caritas did not stop writing, activating spell after spell for further use as to increase the speed of his attacks, by taking out the writing he only had to call on the spell making him quicker and there for deadlier.
Closing the grimoire Caritas noticed three new comers A Keyblade Master, a Heartless, and a Human known a real threat except for maybe the Keyblade Master the other two were simply trash. Sending his Grimoire away back to where it came from he started spinning his pen in between his fingers tossing it from hand to hand and he wasn't even paying any attention to what he was doing his mind was else where thinking about how to bring this battle to a close.
Tossing the pen a bit higher than usual he watched as it transformed into a large blade, and with relative ease he caught it with one hand the weight of such a blade seemingly weighing nothing to Caritas."It is getting a bit crowded in here don't you think?"His voiced cold as he swung the blade in front of him strong, and swift his question left to anyone in the room to answer if they wanted but their opinions was of no importance to him. as he took a step forward multiple spells activated at once all centered around Caritas and his blade. One spell increase his speed for a few seconds but in that time he was already behind Vanity and after image left where Caritas once stood his Blade spewing flames.With out a word he swung the blade in an attempt to decapitate Vanity right there on the spot. There was no mercy in his eyes no second thoughts just a calculating gaze filled with murderous intent.

Vanity looked back up to Caritas to suddenly relize he vanished. Vanity felt the shift as the man appeared behind him ready to strike. Vanity bent his knees slightly as he stood on his toes then launched himself high into the air to avoid the attacks. Vanity flipped and twirled his body into a swan dive type position directly over Caritas. He then held the palms of his hands out, they began to glow a eerie and wicked purple. Within the seconds they did so, Vanity shot multiple beams of the glowing purple energy, each would rain down over the man and explode on instant contact.

Looking up at Vanity, he rolled his eyes. This was not something he wanted Vanity to read into too much. It was impulse, that was it. All he had tried to do was make sure the leader of their operations had not been slaughtered right off the bat. Ryu had been so out of it for awhile that he did not even notice, suddenly, the abundance of bodies in the ballroom then. It was an addition of three.They were three now, standing up against the darkness. One had origins from the darkness itself, Car..something. The boy was bad with names and it wasn't as if he actually had to remember anyone's names. Vanity spoke down to him, muttering something about hoping he had more strength because s**t was going to hit the fan. Duh... Ryu could have told him that much. It pained him to even move, well more like a uncomfortable squeeze around all of his muscles. A strain if you will. Still, he gritted his teeth and got to his feet, his knees shaky. This was not going well.
