Did you know that...

1. The word "Hikari", as in Satoshi's last name means "light" in Japanese

2. The word "Hiwatari", as in Satoshi's adopted last name means "As to walk over fire"

3. The word "Niwa", as in Daisuke's last name means "garden"

4. The word "harada" as in Risa and Riku's last name is just three letters shy of the word "haradachi", which means "anger"

5. The correct spelling for Daisuke's pet's name is "Wiz", but is pronounced "With" They do this in the anime because 'Wiz' is 'a word that inspired way too many inside jokes in the studio, especially with that voice!"

6. In the anime it shows Keiji Saga, but only once. It's on episode 17 when they're on the boat going to the island; he's in the background behind the teacher when he's telling the girls not to "Play Titanic." If you think it's Masahiro you're wrong: His hair is different and so are his eyes. The face, eyes and hair match the charector in the book known as the fameous "Keiji Saga" of Saga entertainment.

There's a site that transulates words, like an English-Japanese dictionary and vise versa. I don't have the link right now, so I'll get back to you when I do get it.

I must say something about this. This is all true, in relation to the actual words. But if you look at the Kanji for their names themselves, that is not what their names mean. For example, "niwa" is the japanese word for "garden", but the Kanji in the name, in relation to DNAngel, there are two. The first is pronounced as Ni, but it means "red, or rust coloured". The second Kanji is pronounced Wa, but it means "feather".

I can't completely remember the rest, but I'm fairly sure that Hikari (read as two Kanji, Hi and Kari, I think...) means "Ice Hunter" or "Ice Soldier". I'll go back on the site, "Yami O Sukasu", to try to find the rest.

BTW, I'm sorry for posting this, I didn't mean anything of it, other than to give information, and to fix the fact that I can't stand when other people get the meanings of their names wrong stressed (I love DNAngel too much, many people tell me sweatdrop )... yeah. biggrin

Then click on a character's name, then go to the part right under their name, and it will say, "See Kanji Meaning" or something like that.
