Lysia_nyteblade:
Playfully she crept about stalking a small insect of some sort. It felt good to play and romp around without having that stuffed shirt stick in the mud male to worry about ruining her fun. She chased down the dirt path further till she came upon a nicely shaded area. With a deep breath and a sigh, she lost intrest in the insect and settled down in the shade to watch and see what, if anything, of interest could happen.

Strawberry Supernova:
Simi slid on her paws down a boulder, chasing a butterfly. She followed it for a while, not paying attention to where she was going. That is, until she tripped and fell over onto another Gem. "OHI! Sorry!!" she giggled and moved back, smiling. "Are you okay? I didn't hurtcha, did I?"

lysia_nyteblade:
Shaking her head she chuckled some and shook some of the dust off. "No, I'm fine.." She sat back to give the other gem a look over, investigating her. "What were you running from?" She cocked her head to the side some.

Strawberry Supernova: "Good!" she grinned. "Oh! I was chasin' a flutterby! It was a really pretty one, too! All blue n sparkly! Didja see it?" she asked, tail wagging back and forth. "Oh! I'm Simi, by the way!"

lysia_nyteblade:
Giggling once more she shook her head "No, I din't see it.. but It couldn't have gone very far!" She lept up, tail wagging and looked around some before turning back to the other female. "Nice to meet you Simi, I'm Laurana." With a small squeal of delight, she pointed off in the direction some with one paw. "Over there.. It's flying towards that stream over in the distance!."

Strawberry Supernova:
"Aw, that's a pretty name!" Simi lit up when the butterfly was pointed out and did a little dance in a circle. "Yay! You're good at spotting things! Let's go get it!" She grinned at Laurana and started to bound after it, wings helping her over the bigger obstacles.

lysia_nyteblade:
"Thanks, I've always likes it.. though renegade thinks it's too proper a name for some one who acts so..." She scowled in mock mode of the male. "Childish." She laughed some and nodded at the suggestion. "Yeah we can get it together!" She fluttered her wings some as she bounded after the butterfly as well. "Maybe we can .... trick it or something!"

Strawberry Supernova:
Simi giggled. "He sounds like a real stick in the mud! Kinda like my Akri. But Akri buys me lots of toys, so he's okay!" She paused as the butterfly landed on a rock near the lake. "That's a pretty good idea! What kinda trick do you think would work?"

lysia_nyteblade:
"Hmm.. maybe if I go one way and you go another we can sneak up on it and catch it?" She was already headed around to flank the insect, eying it with almost that same intense stare a cat would a mouse before pouncing. "We have to be careful though.. don't want it to fly off before we can get it."

Strawberry Supernova:
Simi nodded and went around the other way, keeping an eye on it as well. This was the first time she'd had a partner in chasing the flying insects, and so far it was a lot of fun. Laying on her belly, she tucked her wings in and crawled closer to the rock it was on.

lysia_nyteblade:
Tucking her wings in tight, she crouched down low. Creeping she made her way quietly to the rock, all the wile stifling a small giggle. Tis really was such fun. "Are you ready?" She whispered to Simi as she reached a good close distance to the rock, readying herself to pounce. "On my que we jump and try to catch it. but we have to be fast."

Strawberry Supernova:
Simi nodded, glancing over to Laurana before re focusing on the butterfly. "Okay," she whispered back. Once she was as close as Laurana on the other side, she glanced back and forth between the two. "Ready when you are~" she murmured.

lysia_nyteblade:
Nodding, she watched the butterfly for a moment before gathering her legs under her better. "Now!" She lept up and into the air, focusing on the bug in mid pounce. Laughing she continued to hold her wings close to her sides so she could fall faster.

Strawberry Supernova:
Giggling, Simi followed suit, not paying attention to how close she and Laurana were getting.

lysia_nyteblade:
At the last moment she spotted the disaster in the air they had gotten into. Eyes wide she wasn't even able to get out a warning before she collided with Simi and they both came crashing to the ground only to land on the butterfly causing a small crunching sound beneath them both. "Are you ok Simi?" Her mind was more fixed on if they both were harmed or not. She wiggled her wings some, nothing broken. Noting nothing on her was terribly harmed, it finally dawned on her that the bug had been squished. "I'm sorry Simi.. it seems we have.. squashed the bug..."

Strawberry Supernova:
Simi squeaked when they collided, feeling the breath whoosh out of her as she landed. "I'm okay, are you alright?" she said a few moments later, a little breathlessly. She stretched her wings out, turning back to make sure there weren't any tears in the thin flaps. "Awww...poor lil squished thing..." She frowned at that, but then got an idea. "Maybe we should have a fooneral for it!"

lysia_nyteblade:
"I'm alright.. just a bit bruised at most." She looked back at the bug. "Maybe.. seems only right since we mooshed it..." She sighed some. "Where should we bury it?"

Strawberry Supernova:
She looked around, and spotted a little bit of earth sticking out of the lake, like a mini island. "Ooh! How about there? It'd be the only one there, so it's like a private thing." She grinned and wagged her tail.

lysia_nyteblade:
Following Simi's gaze, she looked at the mini island and nodded. "Sure, seems perfect!" looking around she thought some. "We need something to put the flattened corpse on."

Strawberry Supernova:
Walking in a little circle, Simi looked around and finally saw something near a tree. She hopped over to it and picked up a big leaf in her jaws. "How'sh this?" she said around it and brought it back to Laurana.

lysia_nyteblade:
Nodding in approval she took the leaf from Simi and set it beside the smooshed bug, pondering how they were going to get it onto the leaf. Thinking of something, she decided to paw at the dead bug gently in order to roll it onto the leaf. With but now mostly on the leaf, she looked up at Simi and grinned wide." Now, how do we move it?"

Strawberry Supernova:
She smiled, glad her new friend had approved of her choice of 'coffins' and watched as she pawed at it until it was on the leaf. "Hmm. You could take one side and I could take the other?" she asked.

lysia_nyteblade:
"That should work.. but be careful.. the poor things already falling apart..."With that, she gingerly took one edge of the leaf in her mouth and waited for her to take the other.

Strawberry Supernova:
Nodding once, Simi leaned down to grab the other edge and gingerly started to lift, making sure not to tip it. "Ready?" she asked, careful not to blow the butterfly off.

lysia_nyteblade:
Giving a careful nod she started slowly towards the spot they'd bury the poor squished little bug. It was almost sad though. The poor thing never had a chance with both of them crashing down on top of it like that.

Strawberry Supernova:
For once, Simi's concentration didn't falter, she just headed for the lake. She looked back and forth from the spot they were going to bury it in to the thing laying on the leaf, making sure it didn't fall off. A few minutes later and they reached the edge of the lake. "Think we should leave him here while we dig his grave?"

lysia_nyteblade:
"wouldn't hurt" she said through her teeth. "I don't think anything should bother it too much" She leaned her head down some so she could set her end down, careful not to tip too much so it wouldn't slide off.

Strawberry Supernova:
Simi started to nod, but stopped in time, before it fell off. She followed Laurana down, setting the leaf down carefully. "Okay. Let's hope the water isn't too cold, right?" she giggled a little and headed for the water's edge, dipping one foot in before charging in. "It's nice and warm!"

lysia_nyteblade:
Laughing some, she charged after Simi, skidding on the muddy bottom right into her. This was more fun than digging any hole. With a small sigh she made her way towards the small island they were going to dig the grave on.

Strawberry Supernova:
Giggling, Simi fell under the water as Laurana skidded into her, but came up a moment later shaking the water off. Once she could get her hair out of the way, she swam over to the little island and poked at it to see how soft it was

lysia_nyteblade:
With golden rings glinting in the sun, she began digging in the dirt of the island. She wasn't too overly worried about if it was soft of hard she loved digging in the dirt all the same.

Strawberry Supernova:
Simi was momentarily distracted by the shiny rings Laurana wore. "Ooohh pretty!!" she giggled before digging in next to her. "How deep do you think it should be?"

lysia_nyteblade:
"Hmm... A little deeper I think. After all It's not a terribly big bug.. and it was rather... smooshed.. and part of it still got left behind." She kept digging, stopping for a moment to survey it's deepness. Satisfied, she nodded. "I think this should do nicely now."

Strawberry Supernova:
She nodded and dug a little more, until Laurana said it was enough. "Okay! Now we just gotta bring it over." She looked at it and wondered... "Think it'll float over here if we're careful?

lysia_nyteblade:
"Maybe..unless we can find some rotten wood.. then it'll be sure to float" She looked around for the wood. they could use.

Strawberry Supernova:
"Right! There should be some around here, right?" She looked around carefully, but didn't see any. "Hmm...do you see any?" she asked, wondering if it would just be easier to grab the leaf and bring it.

lysia_nyteblade:
Frowning she shook her head. "Unfortunately I don't see any dead wood.... I guess we'll have to curry it as we swim" She looked over in the direction they had left the leaf and bug. this was going to prove to be an interesting moment.

Strawberry Supernova:
"Okay. Just gotta be careful~" she said as she swam back to edge. Without leaving the water, she used a paw to bring the leaf closer, careful not to dump the bug off. Looking back, she waited for Laurana to join her.

lysia_nyteblade:
With a nod she followed after Simi and scooted close to the leaf without leaving the water. Carefully, she took the leaf in her mouth and waited for Simi to do the same before she would raise her head. they would have to work together carefully to turn around and swim back.

Strawberry Supernova:
She took her side of the leaf just as Laurana grabbed hers, and signaled with her eyes that she was ready to attempt the turn around. She tried to keep her paws under the water, afraid the splashing would make them dump it.

lysia_nyteblade:
Carefully, she gave a slight movement of a nod not dumping the bug. She then began to back up some as she stretched her legs under the water, barely able to touch the ground with her hind legs. Soon she had backed up enough that they could start inching the turn to start back.

Strawberry Supernova:
Simi did as her new friend did, watching her and the bug at the same time. When they were far enough back, Simi started to make the turn. Halfway through, the bug slid a tiny bit. Simi squeaked and froze, tilting her side of the leaf back up a little before turning again, more slowly than the first time.

lysia_nyteblade:
Laurana watched the bug intently out of the corner of her eye as she slowly began moving back towards the island. This was surely going to take some time and they would be lucky if they made it back without dumping the poor dead bug in the water without a funeral.

Strawberry Supernova:
Once they were turned toward the island, Simi started moving a little faster, using her wings to propel her through the water instead of her paws. Ever so slowly, they made it to the little island without incident and Simi set her half of the leaf down, near the hole. "Think we should bury him with the leaf?"

lysia_nyteblade:
Setting her half of the leaf down, she nodded. "Why not.. the lav will decay eventually any ways." Using her paw, she scooted the leaf and bug into the hole before knocking some dirt over it and starting to fill in the hole. "At least now he'll sleep for ever in a nice spot."

Strawberry Supernova:
"And it gives him a nice blanket so he doesn't get cold," she giggled and helped heap dirt over the bug. "Yush. A very nice spot, with a good view!" She paused and looked over the lake herself before getting a slightly mischievous look in her red eyes. Moving a little away from the island, she pushed her paws forward in the water, splashing Laurana.

lysia_nyteblade:
Looking over at Simi, She grinned wide and lept full into the water, splashing everything in reach of the arching wave. Surfacing, she shoot the water out of her hair and laughed long and hard before stopping to look around. What she wouldn't give for that stuffy swan colored male to be there to be all sopping wet and in a huff. he really was such fun to tease after all.

Strawberry Supernova:
Simi squealed happily as she was splashed. She dove under the water and came up, leaving just her head over. Her wings stretched back as far as she could get them and she pushed them forward as hard as possible.

lysia_nyteblade:
Laughing, she ducked back under the water in an attempt to drag Simi under with her. Failing miserably, due to her tail bumping Simi's leg, she resurfaced and kicked water at simi some. "Take that! hahaha!" she really was having such fun that she didn't notice the picking up wind or the large storm cloud rolling in over head.

Strawberry Supernova:
Simi giggled and blocked most of the water with her forepaws and then uses them to splash at Laurana. She didn't notice the storm cloud, but she felt the chill from the wind. "Uh oh...I think it's gonna rain," she said and looked up to the darkening sky.

lysia_nyteblade:
Stopping the splashing she was causing, she too looked up and blinked a few times. "Uh.. I think we should take some cover.... I don't think that cloud's going to be holding that rain back much longer." Sure enough as she had said it, small droplets of rain began to pitter patter on the water around and on them. She scrambled to the edge of the water, climbing onto the band and looking around for someplace they could seek shelter. luckily she spotter something that looked like a mini cave made from fallen boulders. "Come on.. This cave of rocks should keep us out of the rain and give us a place to get dry." She felt herself shivering some from the cold rain droplets that were beginning to fall more heavily helped by a wind that made things colder.

Strawberry Supernova:
Starting to get scared the darker it got, Simi wasted no time following Laurana to the cave. Playing in a warm lake was one thing, rain and storms were completely different. She ran faster, ending up beating Laurana to the cave. She stared at the approaching cloud, tense. "You really think we'll be okay in here?"

lysia_nyteblade:
"We should be.." She shook herself some giving a small sneeze. "It looks pretty rainproof for the most part.. And I don't think it'll flood or anything like that... If you want I can look for a better spot to wait the storm..."

Strawberry Supernova:
"Bless you~" Simi said before shaking her head. "No, no...if you think we'll be okay, then we don't have to move..." Her wings were folded tight to her body, tail thrashing back and forth nervously.

Lysia_nyteblade:
Preening her wings some, she found a nice dry spot and curled up, tucking her wings close to help keep her body heat in. Storms weren't so horrible for her.. it was the being wet and cold part she didn't like about them. While she enjoyed the cold winter months all the same... rain was just something that bothered her in the cold department. "Come lay down we can keep warm."

Strawberry Supernova:
She stared a moment longer at the clouds, then nodded and came over. Laying beside her, closer to the back of the cave, Simi curled close trembling lightly. It wasn't the cold that bothered her, it was the storm itself. All the noise and light scared her.

lysia_nyteblade:
"Are you afraid of storms?" She blinked noticing the trembling. "You know.. funny thing about storms.. you can imagine the noise to be something less frightening if you think about it... then it doesn't sound so bad... I use to imagine that it sounded like the noise that came from the two-legger's bowling allies."

Strawberry Supernova:
Simi nodded, looking up a little fearfully. "I've always hated them..." she whispered. She thought about what Laurana said, and realized she was right. "You're right, that's pretty cool," she said smiling. "Thanks."

lysia_nyteblade:
"Anytime." She couldn't help but giggle to herself some as she remembered her own youth. "I use to think of all the white things falling over as the ball hit them when the noise was the loudest. Which led me to think about how funny the two-leggers look when that does happen."

Strawberry Supernova:
She giggled, starting to relax. "They do look pretty funny, don't they?" She looked at the pouring rain and didn't feel so scared anymore. "So what can we do while we wait for the rain to stop?"

lysia_nyteblade:
"Hmm..." She thought for a moment. "We could each take turns making up parts to a funny story. Should help to take our minds off the rain." She wiggled a bit to get a bit more comfortable.
