Feedback in the feedback forum, omg o.o
So as I said in the announcement, feedback. Post it here please or in a PM to me.

Feedback I'm looking for:

~ Anything to do with actually meet ups. Times, how often, things you would like to do, ect.
~ Ideas on subforums, Should I change them? Keep them the same? Do you have better ideas?
~ The main forum. I had thoughts of deleting most the old posts about meet ups and such that have no real use to us as of now. Are there any main posts you don't want me to delete? Any you want gone? Anything about the stickies?
~ The guild guidelines. What do you think of the current ones? Any changes you'd like?
~ Anything else you could give feedback. Any extra thoughts, anything I didn't mention. Honesty is loved.

I don't really read a lot of the stickies or other posts, only the ones I am interested in. I like the idea of a meet up that is planned well in advance so folks have an opportunity to plan around there usual schedules. I'll have to take a closer look at the whole guild in order to give a good answer, so far so good I guess we can only improve from here.

Well that's ok, I'm just looking for some other peoples opinions is all simply because I don't want to just start making changes to the guild and have other members not be ok with that later. So maybe I should be asking you and others if they do mind if I start changing things?

The meet-ups plan well in advance are a good idea. At least with events I have done of this nature the farther out people have to plan around a meet-up, the better participation of members did happen.

I also don't want to get rid of the spontaneous meets. We all could take a little more relaxed approach to those kind of meet that maybe had a week to organize. Since the meet ups happen so fast we don't need to grandiose things, maybe just a grabbing a bite or exploring the city might be all is necessary to do. This could be just a small group of people can and are will to meet, and take some time just to have some fun with people who have a shared interest in a social-networking/RPG game.

I cannot speak for all, but I do know myself; a combination of both would be great for my situation. I am college student so thus I am busy and low on funds, so having planned future events can be some a little bit more grand and looked forward too; while small shorter plan meet ups would be a nice break from my studies.

I would actually really like to meet you all at some point, but yet my inability to make it out to Portland easily makes it difficult.

I agree, it honestly -to me- seemed like Corwin (Fecal Contamination) before was just like "Where would you guys like to go?" and then people would give him ideas and then "oh how about this weekend?" When it was Thursday. A bit exaggerated but it gets my point. I would love to start planning meet-ups ahead of time so more people can be prepared and actually make it instead of only a few.

hm yea I see what you're saying. I do like random meet ups sometimes so maybe we could have something like one big meet up a month and maybe some spontaneous ones in between?

Looks like the contests subforum is extra ballast that can be jettisoned.

As far as planning meetings well in advance I found that when I had the helm that people seemed to have a difficult time commiting to anything not in the very near future. Perhaps casual meet-ups can be planned on the short notice they're planned on and special meet-ups that are more involved in terms of logistics and finances can be worked out well in advance.
