The truck was crowded and the ride was bumpy. The youth, probably the youngest there, sat between two older men who were talking over his head about their entrance exams into the group. The youth sighed and almost fell out of his seat (as did a few others) when the truck came to an abrupt halt. The chatting stopped, and the little Pokemon, a Cyndaquil from home, looked about frantically.
The back door opened and Gunther put a hand over his eyes. It was bright, which meant it was at least sunny. From the duration of the ride, he thought it would have been dusk at least.
Single file, the new bloods exited the truck. Only the driver and the woman who opened the door wore uniforms.
The trainee's were pressed inside the building and handed black clothes and silver gloves. Gunther's uniform was a little different, indicating he was the lowest and weakest - and youngest. Most other's got Grunt uniforms; his was still a trainee.
The ones who received Grunt uniforms left leaving him and two others behind. From there, they went all their own ways.
Gunther quickly changed into his uniform. He was anxious, but it was an exciting anxious. He looked over at his Cyndaquil, Clyde, and smirked. His Cyndaquil coo'ed at his masters new clothes. He looked good in them (even if their did look a little dull and plain). He played with his hat, trying to find a good position for it. He never liked hats, much to his scalps disdain. It was damaged from sunburns in the hot summer days...
The youth exited the bathroom of the Trainee's quarter and looked around. It was quiet, everyone must have been downstairs training already, being lectured, or in the Cafeteria.
Suddenly, his stomach rumbled. The Cafeteria sounded good right about now. He hadn't eaten since before he boarded the truck.. Which was many hours ago.
Gunther breathed in to calm himself from the butterflies and excitement, and picked up his pet. He pet his head whilst in his arms and made his way to the elevator to go down to the first floor to the Cafeteria.
Luckily, there were arrows in the halls to point the newbie in the direction of the elevator. If they weren't there, he might have wandered forever in the same block of floor.
He waited at the door, frantically and impatiently pressing the red button. When the door opened, he looked in and saw it was already occupied. He shyly moved into the small space and stood beside him.
