I'm not optimistic enough to think that. Maybe it was just to tease us fans xD Either he kind of flickers in/out for a moment, or played it in reverse (recall the more he faded, the further she reached for him, and that animation's kind of reversed order).
But the symbolism of Ichi and Ulqui swapping places at about 0:40, and the amazing perspective shot from his hollow hole of him reaching for 'Hime heart And the given shot of their hands xD

I hope the reversed animation means something. > u > I love the perspective of Ichigo and Ulquiorra switching as well. And the ending. It makes Ulquiorra seem special. c:

I was soooo happy and shocked when I saw UlquiHime in the opening! This seriously has to be Bleach's best opening yet (after Opening 2 of course biggrin ). There were TWO UlquiHime scenes in this, my favorite being the last one. =w= *is one happy fangirl as she throws confetti*
What surprised me more is when Kubo said he liked the opening! (I think he said it on Twitter or something?)

That is very interesting to know about Mr. Kubo. Also, I believe this hints at Ulquiorra's survival. Think about it? If it's reversed on purpose, does this suggest that Ulquiorra's turning to ash will revert him back to the Arrancar we all know and love? I think so 3nodding

-highfives Duskcrawler.- Couldn't have said it any better.
This is probably Orihime's most desperate facial expression yet from the opening. It looks like she screamed because she lost a lover or something. When we come back to the dome in the manga, and Orihime's not saddened and it seemed like Ulquiorra's death didn't affect her, it would kind of mess her extremely-kind-caring personality up for me.

Yay, I got a highfive!!!!
The expression, well, you couldn't have summed it up any better than I did. I also think that Ulquiorra will return in Chapter 400, at the last page to combat Aizen. It will be quite a blow to Aizen, since he knows his plans and that he is (possibly) a Vasto Lorde. If Ulquiorra takes any other Arrancar with him (like the Lucifier legend of him descending into Hell with some followers) that will make the dangers to Aizen, even more noticable. I also believe that Ulquiorra will take Aizen's throne from him and become King of Hueco Mundo and the Hollows with Orihime as his queen. I hope so, if not, an angry mob of fans will surround TK's house and force him to.

I can only wish that it healed crying But I could only imagine it being the rewinding of his hand being destroyed.....Orihime really needs to get a move on and bring him back! scream lol

The opening does give me more confidence that maybe Ulquiorra will come back. Though it clearly was a regeneration of his arm instead of a reverse turning-to-ash. scream I think the scene was put in to give us fandom some hope!○☼♥☼○☼♥☼○

Ohmigawd. I just noticed that! Thanks for pointing out the regenerating thing! It does kind of look like when Orihime heals something with Shun Shun Rikka too, instead of ash.

Exactly what I'm thinking. I believe in Ulquiorra's return as do many of us. Ulquiorra is destined to become king of Hueco Mundo and the Hollows with Orihime as his queen. What evidence do I have to prove this? His last name is "Cifer" as in "Lucifer", he'll rebel against Aizen and take his throne with Orihime as his queen, since Hime means "princess".
